I like how every video I've watched on this delete process says to put that bottom plate back on because there's a brake line attached to it 🤨 it's the same as a brake line but it's actually for your clutch!
My suggestion for a cleaner resistor installation would be to get the other end of the PAIR valve electrical plug (off the removed hardware) cut the wires short and solder the resistor into the circuit and cover it in heat shrink or something, and just plug that in.
So I'm deleting my egr valve considering isn't working properly and i don't think it's worth buying oem egr valve so i don't see the check engine light. Do you have any issues on the engine temperature?
@@taterchipwheeling well the motor decided to take shit today, it sounds like its knocking like a mf or the knock sensor would not let it start. seen the smoke in the oil cap
get them figured out ? when dealing with a lot of vacuum lines use multi-colored zip zies. one on the hose, and one where it goes. you can souble up for more color variations too. snip them for a clean look and just leave them on for future maintenance! 😎
That's the first thing I go over at the 17 second mark. You basically just take it and the bracket it sits in off with a 12mm, cap off the vacuum lines that went into it, and the put the 12mm bolt back in the engine so there isn't a whole.
I haven't noticed any differences. I just did it as easy little project, not for any specific reason. People say it can make the engine run cleaner, improve MPG, or increase power.
Running great still with no issues. Honestly couldn't really tell the difference after I did it, but it was a nice little project. It's inexpensive to do so I have no regrets.
Check out 3.slow gang. That happened to them I believe and they welded it all shut with good results if I remember correctly. You can also probably weld a nut to the stud and extract it that way if you’re already going to be doing some welding.
What if you just pull out the hoses and cap them off like you did, but leave the 3 valves in the engine bay which you have removed in the video but also cap the valve ports to just avoid getting block off plates ? Or do you think it won't work and just get the block off plates and remove all 3 valves. Lol my lazy ass trying to do the least amount of work possible 🤣 .... But man great video. It is clear and so understandable. But I mean $20 for the LC kit is not bad. But I just want to avoid taking those hard to reach bolts off lol 😂
I don't know for sure and don't want to miss lead you. I'd just get the kit. Removing everything gives you more space in your engine bay too which is nice. Makes doing your spark plugs much easier.
Those 14mm bolts are making me hate life at the moment but your vid is helping me thru it all, greatly appreciate it!

IM doing that for sure, Thanks! where did you get those front headlights, looks great!
Would also like to know about the headlights.
На русском где?
I got them from CarID.com
The easiest way to get to the front EGR nuts is to remove the battery 👍
I just plugged the two tubes or hoses from the first thing you took off.

That's a good idea. I thought about doing something like that.
Does it cause any issues.
Why is it there is the first place?
Did your pickup truck pass inspection after you deleted the EGR?
We don't have to do emission testing here so that wasn't a concern for me.
Thank you
11:05 Can you give me the specifications of the installed resistor?
10k and 5.6k resistor.
Where do the resistors go?
I mentioned it at 3:38 in the video. The resistor goes into the sensor plug that you unplug.
@Tater Chip Wheeling i went and rewatched the video, thank you for replying anyway!
how's it running so far? and how many miles does your engine have currently bro?
Running great as always. Honestly doesn't run any different than before, but my engine is probably happier. I'm at 216k miles right now.
@@taterchipwheeling sounds good man, do an update at 230k!!!

I have not had any issues with temps. My truck essentially performs the same as before.

What you do with the fuel pressure regulator

So did you gain hourse power by doing all this what are all the benifits you got by doing all this. ?
I haven't noticed any differences. I just did it as easy little project, not for any specific reason. People say it can make the engine run cleaner, improve MPG, or increase power.
It's a cheap alternative to fixing the EGR system if it malfunctions plus the plugs are easier to change.
How’s it running now ? How has it held up ? Any regrets ?

When. You take out the. Egr the engine work. Ok. ❓
Yup, works perfectly good. The EGR is not an important part of the engine.
Did the resistor come from LCE?
Good looking truck, glad you’re keeping the 3VZE going
Yes, the kit came with 2 resistors.
@@ThisOldYota Thank you!
Just finished this job with the help of your video, unfortunately the top egr stud snapped and now the car runs terrible..
Happy I could help. You gotta be careful with these old bolts. Hopefully you can get it all squared away.
