Got a 94' US import with 13 owners in Norway since 99'. Has probably had 20, but that doesn't mean anything if it's a Honda. It's my first bike and also the one I learned to ride on. Bulletproof machine with that nostalgicly intoxicating 90s feel to it. Imagine owing that bike in the early 90s!
I bought a '93 about a month ago now. I absolutely love it! It is my first crotch jacket and she's got a lot of miles but she's fun to ride. Looking to get some new fairings and upgrades and restore her a little bit.
I have a CB400sf from 1992. There is no English manual for it, but I discovered the wiring diagram for CBR600f2 is 95% similar. So I've been working on my bike using CBR's Haynes manual diagram. Just a random comment. Great video.
Nice review on the bike, I bought an f2 from 1992 two weeks ago, first bike. No regrets so far, its a blast. Nimble, balanced, power, some comfort yes! Love it. :) Maybe not recommandable to new riders without any riding experience though. Stay safe all ! Cheers
Recommending to people who just started learning may not be ideal, I am not sure either. I taught couple people how to ride with this bike and less aggressive throttle response helped a lot. So, if you are cautious, it can be done. I think... thanks for watching.
I don't know haha. Today I decided I'll buy one in December when I get a bonus at my job or save enough and buy it before. I had a 2019 AX100 2 Stroke for 2 years and now a scooter. I will jump straight to the 600 😂 Good thing I'm really easy on the throttle and not am aggressive rider
These F2 are no longer $2k motorcycles, atleast here in Colorado they are going anywere from $4k-$6k. I bought mine last December for $1k 1 owner really great condition and only 8k original miles. The previous owner didn't winterize it so i had to clean the carbs put new spark plugs and turned on right away. Currently in the process of rebuilding the carbs because the old gaskets were brittle and leaking gas. Honda really made great bikes!!
I'm in the same boat, bought one for 1.5 and shes pretty beat up. Cracked plastics and she was laid down on the right side. I'm curious how much work was it for you to fix that bike?
I have a 95 F3 and love mine. Absolutely bulletproof. I have great disdain for the tails; the RR/f4i conversions look trick if you’re handy with a welder. Great review!
I should never have sold mine. 92 in red. I miss that bike even though I couldn't ride in that posture anymore. btw, I live up in that area. great rides all around there
I bought my 1993 Honda CBR F2 back in 1994. It has about 20,000 miles. I've been using motorcycles since 1975. From 1977 till 1991 all I drove was motorcycles, no cars owned at all. My last traffic ticket on a bike was 1983. I find my Honda F2 very uncomfortable. I can ride the bike about 50 miles on a trip before I need to stop. To much soreness in my arms and wrists from the leaning position and I'm a big strong guy. I used to have a big one liter cruiser bike that I could ride 300 miles in a single day without any problems. I never split lanes while riding. I drive very conservative. When I was 19 I almost died in a bike crash. I'm lucky to be alive now. That near fatal crash has always influenced my safe bike riding skills to this day.
Congrats! These are stock mirrors. I’ve dine subtle things so far: - F3 rear wheel - F3 non vacuum petcock - yoshi slipon and jetted pretty good - R6 reg/rec - pirelli sport demon tires worked great - EBC sintered pads - barnett HD clutch springs - Sergeant seat is a must!

Near certain it's a 92. Loved mine and strangely I now think I like the f2 90s style over the f3. Damn might have to get one again
Update: I might be wrong. Could absolutely be a 91

All these bikes are over $3k now, still a great deal.
F2 is 1500
All those old CBR 600 are great bikes. Parts are cheap, and they are tough as nails. Great starter bikes …..

Gotta love the run from 17a - wawayanda - back to bear mountain.
I got a superbike kit for mine and it fixed the posture. Feels like the ideal bike to me. Still riding.
Replace the stock front springs with a upgrade kit from Hyperpro - a world of difference!!
I did the oiling for my weight but yes- I agree makes a big difference on old sport bikes.
Hows expensive its maintenance on this Honda cbr f2
i guess i will buy one next week
Where's the best place to find one? Dad bought a 93 Ross White new and I'd love to have one now. Google hasn't helped much.
Fb marketplace is your best and worst friend.
New York is huge holy shit
