If you get the time, I'd recommend getting some braided lines to replace what look to be the original rubber lines. It'll improve your brake feel and its a nice preventative maintenance upgrade.
It’s had them on when I got the bike, took them off, wanted to keep it as original as possible. At some point down the line I will probably do it, but custom job to keep the original fitment👍🏻
I loved the looks of this bike when I saw 14-15 years old and it still looks great I owned a 2002 car 600 FSort and now my kids have grown up I’m going to get a 2002-2007 car 600F. Have fun be careful safe riding
I've got a 1998 F-W identical to this one. Had it since 2017 and have never ridden it, so this year I'm determined to drag it out the garage and get it roadworthy.
Considering getting one. Currently looking at 1990-2000 japanese four and getting rid of my single cylinder of the same size. CBR 600 F PC25 or PC31 or Yamahas YZF 600 depending on available parts, price and condition ofc.
F1 to F4 (carburated) are bulletproof ! Ive seen them for sale, up to 100.000 km You can buy one without any worry. Just be careful to notice if the seller took good care of it and kept it indoors.
@@Mespera3011 I got one now. 1994 Honda CBR 600 F2 PC25, it had an accident - or multiple - with the first owner and sat still for most of its life until it got sold to the second owner who had everything done that it needed, I checked it over once and nothing important seems to be broken, just minor cosmetic fairing cracks and blemishes here and there. The fairing colour is still bright and clean so kept out of the sun for sure. Already rode it for almost 4.000km. For 1.7k€ and less than 20k km these things are a steal! It's sooo smooth and there's actual luggage tie down points and the passenger seat is flat so it's super easy to take something with you. It's a ton of fun to put your gear on the back and just ride into the distance for a couple days forgetting everything else. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it for a long time and get it to those 100ks. Next year I'm planning a trip across Spain in spring time. I had a couple videos up but removed them again.

Great video, and it looks excellent! Would have been nice to hear it fired up! 👍🏻 I have a 1998 model, they're lovely bikes. Again, loved the video, ride/drive safe👍🏻
Take it easy on that pall Iv lost a few friends over the years, only reason I won’t bye one. I could’ve sworn I saw Annie at bluestone near Tenby Wales last week lol Unless she got a twin
Will do mate! It’s tucked up in the garage for the winter now 👍🏻 Might have a twin mate cos she was probably at work and the jazz is sat at home all week😂
@@Auto_cartel_official lmao Good thing I didn’t ask the girl ini I’d look a weigh nob.. 😂😂 An yea don’t blame you mate best place for it this time of year👍🏻
Hi just come across this video. I have the same bike, same colour. Did you mention you got the rear seat cowl (above the rear light)? Do you mind my asking where did you find it. Many thanks.
Great looking bike man. Been thinking about buying one of these for a first bike. How is the comfort when touring longen distances ? Is there a lot of weight on your wrists?
I’m waiting for mine to turn up however I’m a bit scared I won’t fit on as I’m only 5”4 with 27 inch inside leg .. I’m gonna be gutted if I don’t as I have always wanted one
Ive seen F1, F2, F3, F4 with 100.000 km on the clock.
These bikes are bulletproof !
99 % of experienced riders can never reach limits of this bike so no it is not beginner bike
Maybe, what he actually means it's a good first big bike.
Most big bikes are 99% too much for the limits of the road.
It was for me 😂
its not about limits. its a bike that's suitable for beginner riders.
Just bought a 2006 F4i, 6000 miles. Immaculate condition. I own a unicorn!
Wow that is super low miles! You did well to fine that!
Let me know if you're ever getting rid of it 😘
I brought a 600 f3 1996 with only 13k miles on it and I love it and keep up or even gap newer bikes nowadays 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

Ive had the f2 before and its an absolute blast, im looking to buy another one since frankly its more fun than the 1000ccs imo.
Your not the first person I’ve heard say that😂

The Choke, restricts the amount of air available for the fuel mixture making it richer to start the engine.

Love it! 1200 is a bargain as well. Seeing them mostly 1.5k+. How did you find it and what time of year?
I just looked around and it was around September I bought it. But of course now they are becoming abit older and rarer the price is going up

On long distances you get a numb bum, but you get that on any bike! Wrist wise it’s not bad at all either! Good All round bike💪🏻

How tall are you? Would you say the bike is suitable for taller riders?
I’m 5ft 10, I fit fine, I think it all just depends on how you feel riding it! Sit on one and see how it first you first 👌🏻
What year is that because my f4i doesn’t have most of that
This is a 1998 fw, it’s one of the last steel frame f3 model cbr’s 👍🏻

I don’t like the look of the f3 but I’ve got an f4 and it’s a bloody great bike
