I definitely think this is good advice but for a lot of the bosses in this games they’re so large that if you’re right on them you can’t even see their limbs to know when to dodge or parry again. In these cases I usually prefer to either force myself to learn their parry timing or dodge back/sideways
@@strangekitchenappliances2314dodging left soes the trick. It’s absolutely ridiculous how much you can get away with ij this game by just dodging left. In madam district you can unlock a merchant that sells throwables... you can cheese alot of bosses and enemies with these. I was stuck on the king phase 2 for a solid 4 hours but I bought all the bombs and basically slugged him down with them in under 30 secs and won. You can get good or just cheese with bombs and the aegis, lol.
I can see that. I didn't create a build around throwables, but I can tell being decked out with throwables is busted. They are so strong, especially against bosses
Hrm. I knew all of these already. I went motivity, so the aegis poke wasn't viable, too much stamina drain. I eventually settled into the patented "Summon, run when the boss looks at you, poke em in the butt when he's not, bomb into submission when he's at 30%" They give you 10 bag slots by default, more if you upgrade. 4 bombs, 3 direct damage throwables, 3 puddles, 3 items that add elemental damage to your weapon. I finished the game with under 20 vitality and like 10 vigor. 45 capacity, 40 motivity. Health doesn't increase survivability that much, stacking armor and more/better heals does. You don't need stamina to throw bombs.
Viable ofc !! I also uses motivity build, (Bone-Cutting+Baton). Aegis pokes still shamelessly eat chunk of health from boss/elite mon. If you run out of stamina, you can just back off and return.
I was using the holy sword, it was too much for my 10 vigor to handle. I quite liked the flamethrower arm early to mid game thought, good chip for no stamina use.
Guru hear me out on this tip, I put my pulse cells on my extra bag because extra bag has a hotkey that doesn't change so I don't have to "make sure I'm on my heal" I'm sure this is a keyboard only tip but it's an amazingly fast way to heal and manage by bags. I also have my quick repair in extra bag so I can make those speedy repairs even faster! Extra bag hotkey on keyboard is goated
Please don't let the difficulty dissuade you. I've only played Elden Ring (haven't beat it yet) never played sekiro (yet), and I beat the game. It's a challenge, but it's not impossible. If I can do it, you can do it. Trust
you should definitely try sekiro then! I think the similarities between lies of p and sekiro is understated. Sekiro is the only souls-game that also features the legion arm (called the prosthetic in sekiro) and combat is very similar. the enemies even have the same "red" dangerous moves in sekiro as well. it has a fantastic story.
Not cheese but a general tip, in this game you need to press about 0.25 seconds or so before block and not in the second of the block to get the "Weapon" in position and also you'll need to repress the block button multiple times to do it during a combo, usally you would want to dodge combo as they are poor at tracking but if you can block all of them it'll destroy the enemies weapon\stagger very quickly so its well worth perfecting, especailly if you are planning to go for the optional ending.
Indeed, this threw me off a lot. I keep expecting the parry timings to be like Sekiro, but they're not. You have to guard slightly earlier than that for it to "perfect guard".
#1 motivity build tip: LEARN THE COMBOS FOR YOUR WEAPONS, for example the greatsword of fate that you can start with has a double attack for its base charged attack. Its pretty good damage wise, but slowwwww. However, if you light attack and then immediately charge, you will instead do a thrust charged attack. This becomes crucial for tight spaces or trying to get stagger on the boss due to the step forward it takes. #2 motivity build tip: It sounds somewhat counterintuitive, but attack when your enemy attacks. Depending on the type of enemy you face, you have some range advantage (unless you're big into stubby hammers) and you can stagger them before they can pull off that bullshit 5 hit super special combo surprise, this doesnt work on every enemy, but you'll learn who it works for and who it doesn't. Tip #3 (not motivity specific): When doing backstabs, you are an invincible god. In one of those areas where you got enemies thowing status effects/shooting at you? Just go for specifically backstabs (as long as the enemy type is vulnerable to it) you can clear a room without getting a status effect to proc on you with ease
#2 is a bad tip since poise is nonexistent in this game. You can’t trade attacks with a butterfly sneezing on you. Strength build is just bad in general because of that.
@SoggySlopster that's why I said before they hit you. I know you can't poise, but you can still stagger. Most medium enemies and smaller, easily hesitate when hit with a good number of motivity weapons. Also, if you finished reading point two, I had said that doesn't work on every single enemy.
well for what i notice after finishing the game. 1. Heavy weapons take less guard dmg, while light wep takes more, dunno about balance ones do. 2. if you perfect guard 1 attack but cant perfect guard the follow up that comes with speed increased, dash out or in to the boss, to avoid extra dmg and stam lose from blocking. 3. this game play both bloodborne and sekiro, so you are force to mix in both block and dash < until they increased the parry window. best of luck for does newcommer out there.
I started playing without watching any video guides, I didn't want any spoilers. So ended up spending boss souls not realising I could trade them for equipment, and then I found that NPC... D'oh! :) I should've known really, you can do it in Dark Souls.
Glad I'm not the only one. Started last night and thought the same thing, with some Sekiro mechanics added. Still feels very much like it's own, unique thing tho. Far better than I could've expected
Yeah this is my first ever souls like game and it is insanely difficult, I'm 40 hours in and only on the second black rabbit brotherhood fight (and very stuck can take out the first 3 every time but can't even get the big one to half) but I am absolutely determined to beat this game!!!!
That was a pretty tough fight. Bonus tip throwables do a whole lotta damage if you need an extra push and don't mind playing some keep away and grinding for them. Best of luck!
Yeah it's tough don't forget to call the specter, and take three shotputs and three sharp pipes and also if possible three cluster grenades and keep it in your pouch, when you can time properly and he is busy with taking specter down throw it at him and stagger him quickly
8:18 I’d personally disagree with that statement. Any handle with preferably absolute defense or at least endure basically puts the game on easy mode. Either one gives you an oh shit button for when enemies do their fury attacks. Absolute defense is far superior since it parries any attack for 2 seconds, but endure does last longer with the ability to instantly cancel into an attack. I absolutely BONKED Laxasia with the coil mojinir handle with the puppet axe head.
Tip i found When using Ageis shield if you press and hold down the legion button and proceed to press the normal guard repeatly will 99% perfect block all attacks
'Lies of P' pretty cool game. Really like the keyboard/mouse settings. The left pinky is in control of the 'guard/parry' ability, so if you play with 'standard' keyboard settings, you have to literally beat these tough bosses, with your 'left pinky.' And it funny how L pinky behave, when you trying to learn this game. It can spasm, spaz out, mash 'shift' key. But it eventually learns to calm and yet, you can still tinker with the left pinky press shift key 'technique.' Neowiz pretty cool, make 'Lies of P.' Beautiful and attention to detail, pretty heavy stuff. And. Korean company into emotional stuff. First side quest, I found, the mother puppet with the disease, want to see her baby. After you get her puppet baby back, she give you a record and you play it on the record player in hotel. Korean gaming companies heavy into emotional side of story. It pretty cool, too.
Completely agree, only other souls like games I’ve played are sekiro and ER, started lies of p and I couldn’t even get through the tutorial because of the slower paced enemies and just gave up. Went back to it last night and managed to get past the hotel and having an absolute fucking blast! Game is awesome, combat is satisfying, art is absolutely incredible and the audio just tops it all off! So glad I went back and gave it another try!
So far the ONLY models that looked actually bad was the cable car scene. When Gemini was doing his tour guide impersonation I went to the windows and looked out to find no textures on any of the hills beside the car. Just jagged dirt colored polygons lmao. Otherwise the game is beyond gorgeous.
I personally like using the wrench you get early on and levelling it up, I feel it’s damage output is so good against the bigger bosses, but I don’t objectively know what’s the best weapon to really use
wrench on baton handle is what speedrunners tend to use, great stance pressure with a fast(ish) moveset and handle has a 1 hit damage buff which stacks really well with wrench head's patient smash. try it out!
The really easy mode in this game is to have a bunch of throwables. You can almost deplete any boss's health bar by launching stuff from a safe distance. Just throw a couple until they reach the status effect, keep your distance, and let the fire/poison do the work… rinse and repeat. I think the most useful thing I’ve learned from these games is to try to keep calm; panicking doesn’t help. My first Souls game was Elden Ring, and I was always in Panic Mode, running and rolling until my stamina was depleted. The put balls are a game-changer, but the best weapon for me is the Fate Blade. I’ve done three runs almost entirely relying on it
4:30 you talk about the P-organ skill that extends stagger. The upgrade is for the window to actually get them into staggered state when their health bar is flashing white(the white health bar stays longer), not while they are already down and staggered.
They are 2 seperate upgrades, the white stagger bar upgrade (Staggerable Window) is one of the main upgrades you can see on the board but there is also an upgrade in the individual quartz skills (in ATK) that actually increases the time they are staggered for when down, hope this helps clears things up 👍🏻
Heavy weapons here are really fun to use, you can combo with a handle that would increase their speed. I put almost any heavy scaling weapon on police one and its done wonders for me, a bit short but you get used to it. Loving weapon combos here
Hah. The best advice is to go _balance_ as it opens up way more options in gameplay and weapon choice. Just technique a motility hilt or motility a technique hilt and you now have dual C or dual B on a weapon and your weapons (if similar to other souls games) will scale more as a result of two damage stats instead of one.
Yeah I actually use a Balance/Quality build on my second character but for new players it might be a bit of a disadvantage as they need to put more points into motivity/techique and have less for Health/Stamina/Capacity. Balance builds in this game are for sure a great tip for people with souls experience but for newcomers it might be a bit rough.
I think any starter class is fine. If you go balanced then use quality handles. If you focus on 1 damage stat then level capacity some more for damage increasing amulets.
@@GamerGuruOfficialas you were saying, quality builds only really shine after heavy stat investment. Definitely a win on NG+ and beyond, but prior to will either be lackluster due to lack of stats to scale, or will take away precious health, Stam, and weight stats.
I liked this game a lot and have a ton of fun with most of it. The only part of the game I didn't enjoy was Laxasia. I'm not sure if I just couldn't get it or if the boss is actually just not very good and extremely frustrating.
Don't worry, I would say many (if not most) players consider Laxasia as the most difficult boss to learn in the game, at least top 2 I would say, so don't get discouraged, its a tough fight, good luck!
It's crazy how players struggle with different bosses. I found Laxasia fun and engaging to fight and overcome. Thankfully she didn't pose too much of an issue for me as she seems to for others. However I feel the exact opposite about the Green Monster. I found that one super frustrating and it ended up being the most difficult boss for me.
Here's a trick, always go left, I don't why but she's so confused when you go left. Just don't get stuck, use anti lightning armors, and when she's about to stagger wait 3 seconds.
Wow, I feel like I've played for quite many hours, and only actually understood like 8% of this video😅 Im guessing I'll see those guide channels very soon.
I’m at “the final boss” and it’s a serious road block; i had him at a sliver but I spammed one too many attacks and missed the fatal attack 😢 I’m goin in hard next time and farming throwables like a mf
broken boss , no time for any throwables against this boss, let alone heal perfect blocks or die thats your options. broken and destroyed the game, ive never given up on a souls game before but this got uninstalled never to be played again.
@B0NGERSON it's not, they patched it to be next to unbeatable, there is no room for throwables, pluss the awfully item selection makes it a task to find what your looking for must be easier on a controller probably, but that is one of many things patched that makes this broken ,like perfect parrying still takes down your health my massive amounts ,hardly any damage dealt, no stagger or downtime ,the list goes on
Police baton and bone cutting saw blade is gold standard str build in this game it attcks relatively fast has one of the faster charged heavy attack in the game its a relatively heavy weapon so you will get staggers all the time I beat the whole game no summons then i beat ng+ with the same weapon in 15 hour's Its time to kill or dps is one of the best in the game even better than dex weapons since most dex weapons have very poor base damage while the dex weapons are safe and quick they dont do much damage twin dragon sword is too punishing if ypu miss the parry and you will have to do it 2 times even to kill some of the later normal enemies I saw your stats and to you i say try this str build Also with maxed out puppet string arm you can get a stagger on any Enemy in 5 seconds while dealing over 5k damage Also has great guard reduction so even if you miss the parry or not confident you can just block and heal all hp back You can use victors amulet and the increase damage based on fable slots so you chop even harder 1.5k damage per heavy chop is incredible damage that also does stagger damage Very simple and basic to play but thanks to the huge base damage and fast handle this build is secretly op and since it is strength it will never get nerfed You can also use amulet from fire boss that is also big boost after parry in damage
I also use these combo for my Str build. BUT ! I also don't understand your point since bone cutting saw blade can be used with dex handles too. There are many fast/long dex handles so I don't see why dex players need to use Baton. What slightly OP is Bone Cutting Blade itself. Baton is probably one of the best handle for str build but you could have easier times with fast dex handles, not mentioned that Puppet String scaled with Dex.
@@semaht03 i am in ng++ so both motivity and techniqe are at 50 😛 Now i have added advanced scaling to 3 baton handles Also after starting ng++ i had too many upgrade mats to i upgraded some other weapons and now i use Live puppets axe blade which does even more damage than the bone blade and has just very very slighty lower reach but staggers faster cause heaveir (second highest base damage weapon in the game after frozen feast) The thing with handles is my man some handles do charged attack's in multihits so your damage is spread over 2 hits with max durability perks the second hit does not get the boost but with baton handle you deal all your damage in one swing My new build now does 1900-2600 damage per charged r2 when my blade is at max durability I tried some dex and balanced handles and the damage is always less than baton handle
You have the specter’s aid almost anytime. It’s a fair game, I finished Sekiro, Bloodborne and all other souls games and I can tell you this is more forgiving than those games. There are some spikes but manageable. Use all the game has to offer in terms of aid, tools given are powerful:
(edited that damn auto correct, sorry i didnt notice) i kinda disagree about the "chose technique over mobility". Some people really are into slow strong hitting weapons, so their challenge will be to adapt to their ennemis rythm. Sure, some fights are harder. But stats wise, they can alter their handles thanks to Eugénie (best girl btw). Thanks for the shotput tips! I look forward to beating the game, those New phases on p-organ really interest me! Anyone knows what the max number of quartz i can use is ?
First off, I'm horrendous at these games! I'm very unpracticed and I'm too accustomed to spamming buttons and/or brute forcing my way through things! Even though it's not considered a Souls game, Fallen Order got me into this style (the perfect dodge/parry/counterattack whilst balancing a stamina bar) and that's the only experience I have. I started off with a Technique build and after 24 hours of gameplay, I rage quit since I was stuck at the chapter 3 boss! So, I started over with a Motivity build and after 36 hours, I'm hard stuck at the Estella Opera House Entrance in chapter 6! The puppets are soaking all the damage from my +3 Holy Sword and +6 Bone Saw with Dancer's without even flinching. I think I'm going to take a deep breath and start over again with another Technique effort! I think I've learned enough along the way to make it even further now! I'm loving the game, as it's incredibly beautiful and fun enough to continue playing! Once I beat it, I think I'll need to take a break from gaming for a week or two!
the spider mobs have an AOE buff to nearby mobs, it looks like strings over their heads. Either focus the spider or back off and try to seperate the little mannequins from the spider. the holy swords hilt fable turns its uncharged r2 into a long range poke, its very good. And never forget, the chapter 4 vendor in the red lobster sells unlimited bombs. Stock up, and bombs away if you feel threatened.
A minor, but potentially useful tip: puppets apparently take more damage from blunt weapons. May want to throw a few upgrade materials onto the wrench head or equivalent for dealing with them.
@@SLCclimber this actually helped a ton! I beat the boss with a +6 Wrench on an ‘A’ scaling motivity long handle on the second try 😭 The stagger of the wrench is so much better than the Bone Saw I was using
In NG+ you can actually respec your stats at any time from the start (as long as you unlocked it in the previous playthrough), you will have the fast travel stargazer in the respec room available from the start of NG+
I actually didn't grab the Aegis right away just because I thought it looked like it would make some things too easy lol (i have no clue if it's been nerfed or not)
Yeah, definitely a good option for people who are not at a high enough skill level to do bosses since some of these bosses are pretty tough compared to other soulslikes. Summons have kind of always been the "easy" mode of soulslikes and I'm fine with that.
@@greenbrickbox3392 im a member of the „no summons in first playthrough“-group too but ER made me create an exception rule against gank squads (feck twin gargoyle and commander niall 😂) So i summoned against the rabbit man and this summon made the fight against all 6 or so friends of him basically alone, so i 1v1ed the chief, played miserably and still won first shot Feels bad, might start fresh after lotf :D
nameless puppet is a game breaker ,it is broken.looking at all the guides is bull if you are to high a level you will hit for next to nothing while takeing non stop 3/4 damageif you miss just 1 perfect parry.
@@Bakersvillit sure is broken af, but having learned how to parry throughout the rest of the game makes it for a more manageable fight, rather than learning what i consider a base mechanic on the spot
@kry9714 I can parry very well :) had no problems it seems nameless health is based on your level I was 92 and he was barely taking any damage whilst hitting me for half a health bar whilst normal blocking ,bar never turned white, maxed out weapons did nothing, infuriating to the point of not bothering stupid end to a great game , even lexi only took 5 attempts
@@Bakersvill i didnt struggle that much actually, not sure it has something to do with level, more the build and weapon choice, what got me almost everytime was the out of this world moveset, the guy doesnt know how to breath, but yeah like i said, the damage was okay and the poise damage i managed to land on him was also pretty okay, can't relate much to your experience with it
When you use it, for a short amount of time, even if you die, you won't losy your ergo. In other words, use it when you know you're entering a hard place or a mini boss fight where your chances of dying are high so you don't lost your ergo.
... damn... I went full on Motivity Build with a slow as hell heavy weapon and had to choose my openings. I went into the game not understanding what a lot of the stats meant, but I saw that motivity was building my attack so I just stuck with that early game and increased Stamina and Capacity late game. ... I guess I literally played this game on hard mode. Lol. ... yet somehow, and i'm probably the only one who feels this way... but this game did not feel very hard to me. Sekiro was SO much harder to me.
I’ve only been playing for a little over an hour and am getting a little frustrating that there isn’t a map or waypoints like Assassins Creee does. I have no idea where I’m going.
Yeah, the way you're using that shield (cheese mode) is definitely broken and will be patched. I just upgraded that and haven't used it yet, but I figured I would. I always play with a shield in Souls games, but not like that! 😂
I also noticed same as you that the aegis upgraded lv1 need to be hard nerfed or remove completely from the game. It trivializes most elite/boss enemies
This was technically my first souls like game I played. I started playing Elden Ring but I didn't even defeat the second boss yet. And I finished Lies of P just recently with around 38 hours. (I'm one of the staying in the game while being afk gamers so steam said around 42 hours) And I really whished I knew sooner that I can trade the Boss Ergo to Items xD until I had Alidoro I used them for myself. Also whished I knew, that I can go back to the Hotel when I defeated the Nameless Puppet. I went straight into the NG+ because I thought if I press No I would go to the main menu.. Later I found out I missed Achivements thanks to that. Now I have to do the Rise of P route again.. Really wished they would communicate that better. But I really enjoyed the game! And sometimes I even managed to kill bosses first try. Simon I got with 3 or 4 tries and I never expected that at all! Sadly I used a wrong weapon for the nameless puppet, so I took way longer on him than needed. At least I can do his first phase without thinking now xD As soon as I switched to an Electro weapon I did it first try.. His HP got deleted, like literally! While beeing happy about it I was also annoyed, because I spent like 2 hours or more on him xD
7:13 not a Katana, it's a "Hwando" which is essentially the Korean equivalent. Honestly surprised i havnt seen any other comments saying this as i've ran into a bunch of different videos of "How to get the Katana!" and its like "thats a hwando!" Simple mistake but uh yeah The Dragon Two-Sword is great
Devs weren’t joking when they said they got inspiration from Resident evil, literally the last level is a castle, there’s a canyon section that’s very similar to RE4, swamp area like the swamp in re4 it’s literally so similar to RE4 location wise it fully shocked me🤣 Where you fight Laxasia also is literally a similar looking type of area in the RE4 remake🤣🤣🤣
The game is fun, but the main thing I'm running into is the fact that the bosses seem to have really short punish windows and don't really have a pattern to pick up. At least if they do, its not as obvious as DS1,2, and 3. The only ones that really felt learnable to me were the first 2 or 3 puppets and then Champion Victor. Everything else is either really fucking fast, relentless with their cooldowns or have random combos/timings that you cant dodge/block consistently. I am enjoying the game, but damn does it make it hard to enjoy it sometimes. I'M LOOKING AT YOU ROBBER WEASEL!
From a noob persperctive, never liked any fromsoftware, except maybe for sekiro but didnt get far with that one either... I think this would be the souls entry game for me
If you didn’t finished Sekiro or get that far into it then you will probably not like this game. And I will say it’s more difficult than Sekiro. Just letting you know from my experience playing both games.
@@ChrisDinwiddie22 just beaten mad donkey. Not easy, not gonna lie. Was satisying though. This is gonna take me a long time. If i ever finish this, i will try sekiro again 🍻
Not really, a few missable trophies so Id recommend planning out all the trophies before you start your run to make sure you dont have to do more playthroughs than needed but can be done in a couple of days.
Lords of the Fallen really always gets left out on the whole best souls like thats not fromsoftware. Lies of P, LOTF, Stellar Blade, and now Wu Kong are all tied in my book. And Steel Rising was super fun too, just too easy. Mortal Shell was great too, just too short. And Enotria and Bleak Faith are just a hair too janky but came very close to these other souls likes.
I’m sorry but the katana is definitely not one of the strongest weapons in the game, in fact it’s probably one of the least stronger weapons even when fully upgraded. It’s a high skill gap weapon where relying on parrying is one of its main fighting styles. But it’s damage is far inferior to the living puppet blade with the dancers curved sword handle. The damage at +10 scaled to over 340+ and I haven’t seen a blade that does more than that, and the attack speed isn’t too slow at all. You can still have the parry that the katana has just in a fable attack instead of your charged heavy. The katanas scaled damage at max level isn’t enough to be able to do a whole lot unless you want to outright just give yourself a hard time.
If ur new to these kinds of games dodging towards an enemy is scary but 9x out of ten is much safer than dodging back
Dodging in this game works similarly to Mortal Shell game, it's just have smaller invulnerability window.
I love dodging in this game!
I definitely think this is good advice but for a lot of the bosses in this games they’re so large that if you’re right on them you can’t even see their limbs to know when to dodge or parry again. I was stuck on the king phase 2 for a solid 4 hours but I bought all the bombs and basically slugged him down with them in under 30 secs and won.
You can get good or just cheese with bombs and the aegis, lol.
Yes. I fumbled my way through the game by just bombing all of the bosses, and the holy sword in glaive mode's R2 poke.
if you build your stats around throwables, it’s the strongest build possible
I can see that. I didn't create a build around throwables, but I can tell being decked out with throwables is busted. They are so strong, especially against bosses
BORING
the first souls like that I actually didnt die of boredom and could actually complete, pretty cool..
Hrm. I knew all of these already. I went motivity, so the aegis poke wasn't viable, too much stamina drain. I eventually settled into the patented "Summon, run when the boss looks at you, poke em in the butt when he's not, bomb into submission when he's at 30%"
They give you 10 bag slots by default, more if you upgrade.
Thats actually a really good idea, especially if you use many different items often 👍🏻
Good tip, I do the same thing. On PS5 hold the X button and push a directional button for the same effect
I tried this after fumbling for my heals in between bomb throws. It feels clumsier than just hitting X, but more reliable.
Thanks a lot @harper0270 for this tip man I'm at krat central but never paid attention to this .
@@angelaXmontalbano I'm aware. I literally have it just haven't opened it yet lol but I plan on getting to it soon
It is possible
Definitely feels less idioticly hard than the actual souls games. Darksiders 3 is similar to this.
Sekiro is best from software, u must try this game!!!!
#1 motivity build tip:
LEARN THE COMBOS FOR YOUR WEAPONS, for example the greatsword of fate that you can start with has a double attack for its base charged attack. Its pretty good damage wise, but slowwwww. However, if you light attack and then immediately charge, you will instead do a thrust charged attack. This becomes crucial for tight spaces or trying to get stagger on the boss due to the step forward it takes.
#2 motivity build tip:
It sounds somewhat counterintuitive, but attack when your enemy attacks. Depending on the type of enemy you face, you have some range advantage (unless you're big into stubby hammers) and you can stagger them before they can pull off that bullshit 5 hit super special combo surprise, this doesnt work on every enemy, but you'll learn who it works for and who it doesn't.
Tip #3 (not motivity specific):
When doing backstabs, you are an invincible god.
To me this is like a mix between Blodbourne and Bioshock. It is pretty good so far
Good luck!
If you’re that stuck do some heavy grinding or look up a strat video, the big toxic monster in the bar before the boss fight is a great grind spot.
That was a pretty tough fight. Bonus tip throwables do a whole lotta damage if you need an extra push and don't mind playing some keep away and grinding for them. Best of luck!
Focus on the big one, it’s the only one you have to kill.
See, the thing is remembering to use endure lmaooo
The more you play, the more attractive the graphics, hitting feel, and fun it is.
never played a souls like game and ive never encountered a game so annoying yet addicting lol
I personally like using the wrench you get early on and levelling it up, I feel it’s damage output is so good against the bigger bosses, but I don’t objectively know what’s the best weapon to really use
wrench on baton handle is what speedrunners tend to use, great stance pressure with a fast(ish) moveset and handle has a 1 hit damage buff which stacks really well with wrench head's patient smash. try it out!
That weapon is so amazingly strong early game!! I used that through my whole gameplay!!! Beefed up it melts posture on bosses!!
Aegis is what I used to parry the majority of the final bosses attacks and beat him.
I’ve done three runs almost entirely relying on it
Well, don't sleep on throwables.
All day long.
4:30 you talk about the P-organ skill that extends stagger. The upgrade is for the window to actually get them into staggered state when their health bar is flashing white(the white health bar stays longer), not while they are already down and staggered.
They are 2 seperate upgrades, the white stagger bar upgrade (Staggerable Window) is one of the main upgrades you can see on the board but there is also an upgrade in the individual quartz skills (in ATK) that actually increases the time they are staggered for when down, hope this helps clears things up 👍🏻
You right G@@GamerGuruOfficial
how do i beat police bosses?@@GamerGuruOfficial
Yea Laxasia was the hardest boss I’ve beaten personally. Took me a total of 2 hours. A lot harder than Midir and slightly harder than Ludwig for me.
@@Pakbelli so far thats me.
I hate the guts of that beast
Have you tested the patience amulet? I can see no discernible difference. I’m convinced it’s bugged or not working properly.
I agree
Wow, I feel like I've played for quite many hours, and only actually understood like 8% of this video😅 Im guessing I'll see those guide channels very soon.
I’m at “the final boss” and it’s a serious road block; i had him at a sliver but I spammed one too many attacks and missed the fatal attack 😢 I’m goin in hard next time and farming throwables like a mf
throwables are the BEST thing in lies of p and they're necessary for any casual playthrough\
broken boss , no time for any throwables against this boss, let alone heal perfect blocks or die thats your options. broken and destroyed the game, ive never given up on a souls game before but this got uninstalled never to be played again.
@@Bakersvill the second phase is really really easy to spam throwables.
@B0NGERSON it's not, they patched it to be next to unbeatable, there is no room for throwables, pluss the awfully item selection makes it a task to find what your looking for must be easier on a controller probably, but that is one of many things patched that makes this broken ,like perfect parrying still takes down your health my massive amounts ,hardly any damage dealt, no stagger or downtime ,the list goes on
remnant 2 and surge 2 are worth a shout, imo.
remnant 2, sekiro and likely lies of p. seem to be my top 3
Really cool insight that helped me alot throught the game , one note though this weapon is not a katana its not of japenese origin
Police baton and bone cutting saw blade is gold standard str build in this game it attcks relatively fast has one of the faster charged heavy attack in the game its a relatively heavy weapon so you will get staggers all the time
I beat the whole game no summons then i beat ng+ with the same weapon in 15 hour's
Its time to kill or dps is one of the best in the game even better than dex weapons since most dex weapons have very poor base damage while the dex weapons are safe and quick they dont do much damage twin dragon sword is too punishing if ypu miss the parry and you will have to do it 2 times even to kill some of the later normal enemies
I saw your stats and to you i say try this str build
Also with maxed out puppet string arm you can get a stagger on any Enemy in 5 seconds while dealing over 5k damage
Also has great guard reduction so even if you miss the parry or not confident you can just block and heal all hp back
You can use victors amulet and the increase damage based on fable slots so you chop even harder 1.5k damage per heavy chop is incredible damage that also does stagger damage
Very simple and basic to play but thanks to the huge base damage and fast handle this build is secretly op and since it is strength it will never get nerfed
You can also use amulet from fire boss that is also big boost after parry in damage
That sounds pretty OP actually 😂 I will have to try it out.
@@semaht03 i am in ng++ so both motivity and techniqe are at 50 😛
Now i have added advanced scaling to 3 baton handles
Also after starting ng++ i had too many upgrade mats to i upgraded some other weapons and now i use
Live puppets axe blade which does even more damage than the bone blade and has just very very slighty lower reach but staggers faster cause heaveir (second highest base damage weapon in the game after frozen feast)
The thing with handles is my man some handles do charged attack's in multihits so your damage is spread over 2 hits with max durability perks the second hit does not get the boost but with baton handle you deal all your damage in one swing
My new build now does 1900-2600 damage per charged r2 when my blade is at max durability
I tried some dex and balanced handles and the damage is always less than baton handle
I loved this game!
You have the specter’s aid almost anytime. It’s a fair game, I finished Sekiro, Bloodborne and all other souls games and I can tell you this is more forgiving than those games. There are some spikes but manageable. Use all the game has to offer in terms of aid, tools given are powerful:
Did they nerf this shield arm thing? You mentioned that in the beginning.
I feel like i need to go back to college for RPG theory to understand all this mumbo jumbo
29 quartz is how much has been found in the game
@@michaelsheets5739 this confirms what i read elsewhere. Thanks!
Good luck! The rewarding feeling when you finally beat these type of games is 100% worth it 💪🏻
the spider mobs have an AOE buff to nearby mobs, it looks like strings over their heads.
I beat the boss with a +6 Wrench on an ‘A’ scaling motivity long handle on the second try 😭 The stagger of the wrench is so much better than the Bone Saw I was using
@@BArellano95 Nice! that boss took me forever. gz!

Where do you get the aegis and how to install it
Did they remove the gaurd/attack part of things?
LEVEL VIGOR FIRST extra hp=extra def and more hits before death

@@GamerGuruOfficial remember that giant clown before the puppet King? They don't ease up
Having to go to Chapter 7 just to reset your stats is such a kick in the balls if you want to NG+ with other builds and try things up
In NG+ you can actually respec your stats at any time from the start (as long as you unlocked it in the previous playthrough), you will have the fast travel stargazer in the respec room available from the start of NG+
The new update lets you reset stats at the tree
Any tips for heavy build? I never liked sword and shield - always loved playing with huge 2 handed weapons and beat everything to death in 2-3 hits
Why have i never seen the red beam? Bever shows for me
I just beat the Black Rabbit Brotherhood and feel like I'm still in the beginning of the game in terms of items and unlocks.
I actually didn't grab the Aegis right away just because I thought it looked like it would make some things too easy lol (i have no clue if it's been nerfed or not)
Well the game has ridiculously strong summons
Yeah, definitely a good option for people who are not at a high enough skill level to do bosses since some of these bosses are pretty tough compared to other soulslikes. Summons have kind of always been the "easy" mode of soulslikes and I'm fine with that.
@@greenbrickbox3392 im a member of the „no summons in first playthrough“-group too but ER made me create an exception rule against gank squads (feck twin gargoyle and commander niall 😂)
So i summoned against the rabbit man and this summon made the fight against all 6 or so friends of him basically alone, so i 1v1ed the chief, played miserably and still won first shot
Feels bad, might start fresh after lotf :D
Same tip as bloodborne, learn how to do a parry from the beginning, it does help a lot on some late game bosses (specially nameless)
nameless puppet is a game breaker ,it is broken.looking at all the guides is bull if you are to high a level you will hit for next to nothing while takeing non stop 3/4 damageif you miss just 1 perfect parry.
@@Bakersvill i didnt struggle that much actually, not sure it has something to do with level, more the build and weapon choice, what got me almost everytime was the out of this world moveset, the guy doesnt know how to breath, but yeah like i said, the damage was okay and the poise damage i managed to land on him was also pretty okay, can't relate much to your experience with it
Can someone explain the Gemini Iron protection please 🙏
When you use it, for a short amount of time, even if you die, you won't losy your ergo.
In other words, use it when you know you're entering a hard place or a mini boss fight where your chances of dying are high so you don't lost your ergo.
worst part about this game is how they want you to use the specters and bosses like phase 2 swamp monster have ridiculous amounts of health
running with a high stamina bar Vigor 20 +
Mad Clown out run and repair the star gazer this saves times when running back
Your the better rage gaming in my opinion! His content gets repetitive I feel but your great!

I believe you can also use fable arts as a replacement for heavy attacks for the white bar
You can, but it requires the full attack chain and could be longer than the time they’re staggerable.
They’re making a Wizard of Oz game next
Best part of the game is when you figure out a enemies move set and defeat him in two or three tries not 1000 😂
that cheese poke 😂

I also noticed same as you that the aegis upgraded lv1 need to be hard nerfed or remove completely from the game. It trivializes most elite/boss enemies
This was technically my first souls like game I played. I started playing Elden Ring but I didn't even defeat the second boss yet.
And I finished Lies of P just recently with around 38 hours. (I'm one of the staying in the game while being afk gamers so steam said around 42 hours)
And I really whished I knew sooner that I can trade the Boss Ergo to Items xD until I had Alidoro I used them for myself.
At least I can do his first phase without thinking now xD
As soon as I switched to an Electro weapon I did it first try.. His HP got deleted, like literally! While beeing happy about it I was also annoyed, because I spent like 2 hours or more on him xD

Why the f would they nerf anything in a single-player game?
Devs weren’t joking when they said they got inspiration from Resident evil, literally the last level is a castle, there’s a canyon section that’s very similar to RE4, swamp area like the swamp in re4 it’s literally so similar to RE4 location wise it fully shocked me🤣
Where you fight Laxasia also is literally a similar looking type of area in the RE4 remake🤣🤣🤣

I don’t know why they don’t have difficulty settings. We all do t have a 100 hr of grinding in us. Really dumb
The demo didn’t do it justice… Besides some things missing I woulda liked to see, I actually enjoyed this game more than Elden Ring overall 🤷♂️

Lies of P is too damn easy now. They took away the challenge
Why would they nerf it you have to build everything around it forr it to be usable. Ive been using it all game im level 287..so stop
