Friendly tip. Quick slot the pocket watch. It teleports you to the last Stargazer you rested at or the hotel. The animation doesn't seem to be interruptable
Its like Elden Ring with the mini bosses. If you defeat a miniboss and you automatically receive an item without having to loot a drop then the miniboss doesnt respawn.
Biggest thing I've learned is to try and learn the mini bosses or regular bosses move sets and trying to perfect guard them to break their weapons. Thereafter, go to town, because now they do abysmal damage while you're going to town on their health bar.
On the tip about outrunning enemies - it does work for most but NOT ALL. Some of the larger enemies can run you down in their enraged state. The clown in the Opera house is a good example. Also, that clown type has a very long tether and will pursue you for a very long time. 😢
That damn clown gave me trouble lol I just ran past him got to the stargazer then went back and got him by avoiding his long arm attack.. He ain’t dancing no more hahaha this game is awesome
These Elite enemies that stomp on you while you’re on the ground and can’t get up are great fun. If you manage to kill one it takes 10 minutes and all your health potions
Jumping is mentioned in the game in two places, the first time you encounter a jumping/platforming area and also in the loading screen tips, it explicitly mentions its only meant for traversal. As for status effects, if you want to get the status effect tip unlocked you have to die while you have it, next time you respawn the game will show you a tips pop-up that tells you exactly what that status effect you died with does and how to cure it.
Thank you for this truly spoiler free tips video!! Was worried you'd show weapons I haven't unlocked yet. But you used the starter weapon most of the video. Good stuff :) xo
The downside to Guard Regain from a block is that if the enemy dies to quickly, then you cannot recover all of your lost health unless there are other enemies around you can attack quickly. Therefore, basic blocking is not a good idea for continuous use.
This is tied to your weapon, weapon level and Vitality stat, the greatswords seem to have a better health regen compared to say daggers. Although you might have figured this out from playing in the last couple of days.
Yeah for me its because of the strong push to guard/parry vs dodge I can dance with midir, gael,SAO,etc all day using naked dodging But in this game it isnt as strongly rewarded to dodge And the puppet movements are strange and a bit tricky to get a proper read on (as I'm sure they are intended)
The jump is actually explained during the tutorial/beginning although not very elaborate and is easy to miss since it is explaining dashing as the main mechanic.

Also with my first game through everytime i have enough to level up i do my states right now are all pretty level being my motivity and technique are both at 18 at the time being, my vitility and vigor at at 15 and the other two i cant remember are at 15 and 12. Watch how each level up upgrades ur attack ur weight and everything. Ive noticed that with vigor for example which is ur endurance at 15 it starts to go up every one notch so im not going to be putting as much points into it anymore cause i know that my technique is still going up 2 or 3 notches each level which is very nice. And also whatever treasure u get or key item read each one. There is a picture that i found somewhere i didnt know about until i was going through my bag that said to hit the purge clown on the bridge hanging and u will gdt another picture that will give u an item in a safe later on its pretty nice. But for everyone who hasnt played it and on the fence about it i say give it a try cause even tho there are a few weird things to adapt to its a phenomal game so far esspeciallu since the creaters who made this game, this is the first souls like theyve tried to do and i have been enjoying every bit of it.

First human boss is so easy... you can backstab donkey for the first half of the fight but in the 2nd he starts rolling and jumping when you try and backstab him
How the hell can you tell what your current mission is in this game? I'm lost and don't know where to go, my Select/view button on my Xbox controller doesn't do anything.
Orther than Ergo consumption, is there any downside to leveling all the characters stats [vitality, motivity, technique etc] early on?? Or is it just a play style preference thing? Coming from a casual player trying to improve 😅 I don't wanna mess up too much early on
It comes down to what you can get away with For example you could very easily never touch health and only level up an attack stat .....if you knew what you were doing It's more of a rule of thumb to start investing in health in a new game like this so you have room to screw up Personally I like to do 1 stamina upgrade for every 2 health upgrades, until I get to about 25 health stat and then I'll jump to attack stats and stamina longer term In short, it's all your own choice, the only "mistake" you can make in this game is over investing in a playstyle you cant keep up with You can always farm and grind ergo to level up something else if you get stuck via respawning enemies with stargazer
The bosses are harder because in the demo, you could dodge certain attacks, and the boss wouldn't be able to hit you at all for a bit. Now, there are fewer points like that
The dodge is better. Unfortunately the perfect block window is tighter. They need to patch it and give it a tiny bit more leniency. Like I'm talking a few more frames type of leniency. Other than that the only main complaints are that some movement mechanics you have to put points into. (Dodging when you get up so you don't get stunlocked, etc.) Which are basic controls for any other soulslike.
Wtf, how you show the skill tree but barely talk about it in the video besides leveling up your Vitality for you can learn the game Lmfaoo. And no mention on leveling up in general to get the best weapon? The thumbnail says “don’t get this wrong” bruh
They probably turned "Guides" off in the settings because most of this shit is 100% explained. Whether it be a quick prompt or full stopping the game to introduce the mechanic.
I actually missed a bunch of of the introduction beginner tips because I accidentally turned them off, so I was actually looking for something exactly like this video to go over all the basic shit so I started off without being completely blind. 😅
