A great in depth look at the genius of Band-Maid
Nice job. The more I listen to WHB, especially with a good breakdown, the more I realize just how distributed and interacting the parts are. But as always with Band-Maid, the individual lines exist for the song, never the ego.
素晴らしい才能を持った 子たちですよ!!、、と。
Non musician BAND-MAID lover here. Thanks for the fascinating analysis!🤘🤩🤘

Thanks for the analysis. Not sure why it’s taken so long for your video to pop up on my screen. I guess it’s better late than never. Cheers!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed making it too!
Late ☺
Someone else observed that the guitar solo - 5:29 - uses a 'Phrygian' or classical-Spanish scale. It, the whole song actually, really reminds me of 90's Joe Satriani, for e.g. the album _The Extremist._
Sounds like Phrygian to me too. Songs like this and other instrumental songs they have done lead me to think they could do a tour like Satriani or Buckethead with just chop-heavy instrumentals.
Nice breakdown from a Maidiac & aficionado ! Of all the labels attached to Band Maid, prog rock usually isn’t one of them, but their instrumentals say otherwise. I found “Onset” impressive, especially live, and set a high standard, but “Without Holding Back” is next level. I grew up on great music from the 60s & 70s and Band Maid is on par with all of that music, currently they’re the best band going !
What impresses me the most about them is that they have a very wide range of musical styles. And yet she remains a Band Maid. Always...
I'm thinking I would like to do an analysis of "Onset."

@@shawngraham4155 Thank you! Just subscribed earlier so didn't think to look....any chance of From Now On breakdown? Don't Be Long?
A masterful breakdown. I feel honored to be one of your first 100 subscribers!
Thanks!
Thanks Shawn!

If my discussion at the beginning is too slow for you, skip to 1:02 and see what I've done. Afterward, you can listen to my intro if you are want additional explanation.
I would be ok if they did a few songs with these longer, heavier guitar segments. Saiki would not have to sing constantly. Plus Kanami’s solos are always short.
Yes, that would be great! I did an analysis of "Onset" too. ua-cam.com/video/e4YO4ALGURw/v-deo.html
