- Hi all ! Today we're going back in time a little bit, as last time we were departing Montego bay, this is the landing that happened just a few hours before. We're flying a visual circuit. Enjoy !

Wow. I am not a pilot but respect what you guys do. Outstanding, if you noticed the pilot took nice deep breath when he saw land. I’m a dog trainer so I’m more in tuned with human energy. I’m impressed how they keep calm and collective.

SPARTAN300 centre lights . Bumpy yes .
Aircraft’s are too big and heavy to have proper suspension to compensate for the bumpy runway which is why you can feel every grove and bump on the runway.

Hello i have question for what are switches SERV INTPH and towing power used for?
Service inter phone connects FD with various locations around d the exterior - only used by engineers I think. Towing power switch was supposed to be for when the aircraft is towed to another gate by a tug - it energises both batteries, brakes, some FD lights and nav lights. Unfortunately it doesn’t energise any radios or the flashing beacon so it’s next to useless in reality. Never seen it used .

145mph? What? I'm curious is there a catch wire at that airport bc our pilot in 2016 was just smooth, he was engaging with us as if we were the most important cargo on earth. He really nailed it with applause.
Huh? 145mph is the normal landing speed for most aircraft
I believe that the instruments display speed in knots, so that landing was at around 167 mph or 268 km/h.

I'm 14 and I want to be a pilot when I grow I'm from Jamaica . what subjects do we need and where can I start at my age to become a pilot?
I can't speak for Jamaica but in the US you just pay to get your pilots license training, get your license, then build hours to get into the airliners. The fastest way to do it is to get into the military as a pilot.

Even on runaways like this with virtually zero traffic the captain won’t let the FO taxi the plane. Either by company policy or just tbe way it is. So weird
Must be company policy. Our FOs certainly taxi when they’re pilot flying.

The HUD is always down on the 787 (Boeing procedure). Actually it's very nice to use on visual approaches like this one, you can constantly look outside during your visual maneuvering without having to look down to your screens :)

That was a terrible landing I must admit, it wasn’t an easy one either though.

That Approach into MBJ is a bit difficult, it's a short final they towards the runway turns at about 1000ft at about 5miles on final to the runway.
