Thanks to those who suggested I try this string, great recommendation! I accidentally posted the wrong screenshot of Tourna Big Hitter Silver, not S7. S7 is $10.50 in the states. If you enjoy my string reviews, please consider hitting SUBSCRIBE and LIKE! 👋
Finally the Legend has arrived at your channel. Never played it and probably never will. Because I use Restring Sync as my cross string atm, these seem quite similar.
Thanks Koos, let me know how it goes with KSSO...just remember to string it towards the mid to higher tensions. KSSO loses its appeal when strung in the lower ranges
You should give Tru Pro/Tier One strings a shot. Very good bang for your buck options. I really love pure rush. Many other content creators gave it some good marks as well
Excellent review. You've summed up how I feel about this string really well. Excellent playability paired with excellent durability + an amazing price point. Hard to beat that. To add to the discussion, I find that Silver 7 Tour blends really well with softer cross strings and/or slick cross strings like Zero. It also plays really well at lower tensions. Love the reviews.
Love ur comprehensive breakdown. I'd like to see u review razor code original version pls 💯🙏🏼 Swatek is currently using this string and I have it on my hybrid setup with x one biphase crosses
Great review! Hard to beat this string, and the regular Silver, or most of the Tourna strings really in terms of the value you get for the $$. I play Tennis but also play Squash, and Tecnifibre is a pretty big name in the Squash world, they make excellent racquets and even more popular with their string. For Tennis, I've tried their Black Code, 5 sided poly, and I enjoyed it. Would like to see any thoughts on Razor Code or more specifically Razor Soft might be right up your alley - (heard it isn't that much softer than regular Razor Code, just marginally) - it has great numbers on the TW university stats - bummer on the prices of them though, they are in the ALU territory price range. Another cheap string that is supposed to be a really good under the radar string is Prince Tour XP, only sold at Tennis Warehouse, and is just $9 a set.
Razor code white is a good string, and similar stiffness to Razor soft. Razor code white will go well into modern stiff, light and fast racquets of all kinds. Good allrounder string, has some elasticity and power, but also some cushioning, spin and control. Definitely try it. But Razor soft is a very lame string, dead and underpowered, all elasticity prestretched out of it from the factory, no spin either. Good only if your style of play is slowballing and defending, killing pace, pushing the ball around and similar. Comparable to similar deader low powered strings like Yonex PTP or HyperG, but worse Medvedev played with Razor code for years, first blue (springy), then white (not springy), he would hit one freshly strung racquet in practice, to beat the elasticity out of it, and then play the whole match with that same string/racquet. So Tf made him a string that is already dead. Weird that they couldn't find a better name though, coz it's really not like "Razor code but softer". On a marketing deceits scale, this one is pretty sociopathic
Tks for the great content! This week I gonna test the super smash and the S7 tour will be the next one. I am looking for a cheaper poly to replace the poly tour rev. As the fella said before, I would to like to see ur review of the Lynx tour too.
Interested to hear what you find after blending those two. They are both uniquely different and I have to wonder whether it will cancel-out each strings unique characteristics or yield something nice. I may have some Lynx Tour lying around, and if so will consider it. Thanks for watching.
MSV Focus Hex+25 or +38 is a cheap alternative to PTRev, tension loss is worse, but acceptable; Signum Pro x-perience is ok, plusher feeling; Gamma Moto Soft, crisper response
I’m also interested in the comparison with poly tour rev, a string I really like but they go dead too quickly (5/6 hours) for me without even breaking. The drop in performance plus the high cost is pushing me away from it
@@mancio-29 There are many value oriented strings that have much better longevity and equal if not better performance. Paying a premium of a major brand for name only makes no sense to me personally. I have no desire to pay more for the sole purpose of paying professional endorsement fees
@@TK-Tennis totally agree, that’s why I’m still looking. Toroline is also quite hard to get in Europe, and it’s not cheap (same as yonex poly tour rev). Toro toro is my favourite so far, but it doesn’t last very long. I would be happy with 12 hours of good and consistent playability. I need to try this Tourna silver 7 tour then!
Is there a difference between black nad silver colour of those? In playability…. Mabe even overall i would like to know if color variations for example - head lynx tour 1.orange 2. Chamnage 3. Yellow / changes anything?
There is typically a very slight difference in feel between colors, particularly black and grey which are the same relative pigments only more for the black variant. I cannot say with certainty since I have not tried black.
@@Jason-vw1fv about the same. I would say maybe TBHS7T maybe a bit more powerfull, but i'm splitting hairs here. If we are looking for strings in the realm of Alu Power and Tour Bite, but would want something cheaper. These 2 are the best options you've got. In fact they are both in my personal top 5 for round and shaped strings. If you want, underpowered poly, crisp and firmness, lots of control, great tension maintenance, great playability duration, then you have to check out both of them
@@geoffreyhuysman3632thanks for the detailed info! I'm on a string journey for a pure strike 18x20. So far ive liked black shark and lynx tour black best. If you've tried, how does rpm blast compare to bhs7t or max power ? I need the lowest power possible as I swing big and the racket is actually pretty powerful.
I have tried confidential 1.25 I wonder what you think about it. For me was very wired feeling always I thought it’s sailing long because of the lunch but always comes down before the baseline. I think is very interesting string. I wonder about your thoughts.
I used Confidential for about a year as my primary string. For a shaped sharp poly it played very well due to it being on the Medium-Soft side of the spectrum and with nice response/feel. Ultimately, I moved away from it due it's inconsistency of trajectory control.
It’s been a while since I last hit with Tour Bite, but from memory, the S7 offers a more forgiving feel while still sharing similar response, feel, and feedback characteristics. While I personally appreciate firm, stiff strings like Tour Bite for their performance, I’d generally recommend most players avoid it to reduce the risk of arm issues.

Would like to see Head Lynx Tour in the next one.
Thanks for breaking things down the way you do
I agree too
Noted and thanks for the props, means a lot and I'm enjoying the process.
agree on lynx tour

Never played it and probably never will. Because I use Restring Sync as my cross string atm, these seem quite similar.
Sync provides extra pop for free, but other than that Tourna S7 is a better all-around string in every other aspect IMO 👋
Great job TK. Totally agree. Looking forward to trying KSSO now!

Tb bites more thus more spin, but TBHS7 holds tension better.
