      The combination of the these two exercises combined into the morning chant sounds like doing the AUM sound of ahh, ooh and mmm, or ahh, gradually close the mouth which produces the ooh sound and close the mouth to produce the mmm sound.

    As a guy, my voice gets higher when I'm stressed or anxious. I found out, that being at ease and at peace with myself and my surroundings and being relaxed makes my voice really deep. Which seldomly happens, because I am on edge a lot and am often anxious when talking to people. I can hide this very well, so people just think that's my normal voice and get surprised when they happen to talk to me while I'm relaxed.
    Haven't found out what kind of things make me relaxed, though. =(

    i think youtube is spying on me because ive been wanting to make my voice deeper for a while and this just randomly appeared on the recommend page. im a short person with a face that looks younger than my age with a very light voice and this is a disastrous combo if you want ppl to take you seriously. im starting a new job next week and ive been hearing i look and sound like a child for a long time so i have been anxious whether people will not take me seriously there too. ive been practicing speaking with a deeper tone but its pretty much ineffective bc i revert to my lighter tone quite quickly and it doesnt help that im trained in soprano. this video made a lot of sense and i believe will help me.

    Absolutely spot on! I've always believed that a deeper voice commands attention. After trying some exercises, I can definitely relate to that initial struggle. It’s wild how people often associate deeper voices with authority-like when you hear someone trying to sound serious but end up sounding like a cartoon character!
    I took part in the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x, which not only helped me with humor but also boosted my vocal confidence. Remember, finding your true voice takes practice, but the payoff in social and professional settings is totally worth it! Keep at it!

    When speaking, should one inhale through the nose or mouth?
    There is a lot of conflicting opinions on this..

    • @TheVoiceofConfidence
      @TheVoiceofConfidence  3 роки тому +25

      HI Aamer - Great question. Yes there is indeed! Here is the thing: When we are public speaking or singing, most of the time you don't have time to take in a nasal breath... because the nostrils are so small compared to the mouth, it takes too much time when you are speaking fast to an audience. Try it. It takes too long and people would be left waiting.... for the sentence. So here is the best advice: take one second deep oral inhalations for each sentence. Then when you are waiting to speak... breathe through your nose so you don't dry out your mouth too much. This is what I do. Easy!

Please join me so I can give you some free coaching during the live session. You don't have to keep sounding he way you currently sound. As a voice coach, singer and actor for over 30 years, I certainly have adjusted and improved my sound by choice over time for many reasons: To gain more respect, to stop from being bullied, to get ahead in life, to improve my relationships, to improve my business, to improve my singing voice ..... so many reasons! I am super glad I did, because the life I lead now is worlds apart from the little shy girl that was constantly being bullied as a teen. I hope my videos are helping you! Lots and love and hugs. sometimes my voice gets even deeper than it normally is, but at that time i can't speek few words, that's why i can understand what making your voice too deep can cause serious damage, and it your throat hurts while speaking few words or trying different tones, that means you better stop it right there,

    • @TheVoiceofConfidence
      @TheVoiceofConfidence  4 місяці тому

      Thats because when most people drop their pitch, they drop their support and technique too due to lack of training. When you know how to produce sound properly in the lower register, you can keep it clear and audible on every note.

    I talk many languages like Spanish, Euskera, Catalan, English, Portuguese+ but my type of voice is definitely contralto (E5) while singing or while talking, I never liked my voice I thought it was too low and deep for a girl, and I also found it with my teacher, he noticed that I couldn't sing the higher notes, and he said ur voice is kinda low, let's try this and this, and he just said wow u have a rare and beautiful voice, and don't worry if it's low and deep, it's totally okay, he helped me a lot to start loving my own voice🥰 and everyone always tease me for having a deep and low voice, everyone compliment me when I talk or sing, and since 2019 I rlly started to like and appreciate my voice just how it is🤍✨

      Warm soothing drinks feel great on your throat yes, but if you know about vocal physiology then you will also understand that it has nothing to do with the vocal folds ( different pipe than swallowing) so this training is purely about larynx and pharynx positioning, not what to eat and drink. I sang professionally full time for over 35 years and have a Masters in Voice teaching.. so I am on the same page!

    I have a naturally deep voice its deeper than anyone I know and when I speak you can basically feel the room vibrate, its like deeper than corpse's but less cracky
    Whenever I talk to someone new or someone who hasn't seen me for a long time their first comment is always something about my voice,
    people say I sound like a 60+ but with an extremely deep voice, I also feel like everyone listens very carefully when I'm talking.
    But the thing is, its not about how deep your voice is or how complex your vocab is, cuz here's the thing, its about the energy you give off, its easy for me cuz I naturally have this calm serious vibe around me so its easy for me but yea thats the secret behind talking, often when people talk to new people or anywhere they often feel a little nervous and you may sometimes find yourself struggling to say sentences, my tip for you is, be more confident in yourself fuck all the speaking tips, confidence is the strongest weapon in your arsenal but ye enough of me blabbering but ye in short
    Be confident in yourself, have a clear mind, and be calm close your eyes, inhale, and open your eyes while you exhale and then do your speech or anything like that, its how I overcame my fears when talking to a big crowd or things like that well thats that, cya
