I started my journey in June of 2018, intermittent fasting. My first step was cutting sugar, even fruit. 1 year later I was down 180 lbs . Some trial and error but , I've tried the one meal a day, and again trial and error. I'm able to maintain my weight loss.
No more oxygen, CPAP and heart meds.
You should make a video, Bill Henry...verrrrry inspirational!
Have you made a video? It saved your life!
Can i do carnivorous with lamb or chicken meat? Bcos beef gives me uric acid and swelling on my legs.
@@nak141 absolutely! Ruminant animals (beef, venison, elk, lamb, ect) will always provide the best nutrition.
Having SUCH a hard time giving up fruit!! I KNOW how bad it is for my liver but still....
It was refreshing to hear someone say grocery steaks are fine.
Yes! Everybody else are talking about grass fed free ranged unicorn steaks; but hey if you can't afford that then go for the second best, Brazilian alpaca - I import mine from Japan.
Dr. Berry said it was fine if that's all you can afford.
Yes amen I’m sick people trying to push or promote grass fed meat only
I’m sure is not refreshing to the cow 🐄 suffering. Oh I forgot I’m talking to a monster that don’t care
@@BeaVizcarra Why are you even here? It says carnivore not vegan.
Seriously I can eat ribeye every day and lose weight?! When did I die and go to heaven? ... and where’s grandma and grandpa?👀
😂😂😂 yup!! That's why it worked so well for me
Haha
Goodness I love that you are so real- it is like listening to a friend share and practical.
So kind thank you
Yes! I told you the same thing basically. She's so real and down to earth. Sending love your way Laura and your followers :)
Right on! Eat when you’re hungry, stop when satiated. Drink when thirsty....no one needs to drink a gallon in one day.
So true!! Most people drink too much water!
I feel better when i drink more water personally but I was hardly drinking any before but when i started making myself drink more the more I wanted it
I agree. My son’s pediatrician told me to not give my son so much water. Because it washes out good bacteria in the gut. I’m sure it goes the same with adults too.
Shell F Yup. I drink way less now than before carnivore. I was dehydrating myself.
Too much water is a problem because is removes needed electrolytes. Most folks don't drink near enough water, but when they add more, they fail to also replenish the electrolytes and maintain a proper balance. Try adding a pinch of salt to your water, and it helps immensely! I'm not talking about chugging brine, but just replacing what is naturally eliminated.
I've had horrible IBS and am obese. I went Keto and loved the weight loss but couldn't keep it up cuz my IBS was horrible. I thought it was the fat messing with my gallblader but when I cut fat and upped veggies I felt worse, I was so confused. I stumbled across your videos again and thought, wtf, let's see if this works cuz nothing else is... and OMG. I feel amazing! I eat meat and eggs and bacon and a little bit of dairy. I literally eat a few pats of butter straight up now and have no pain, so it wasn't the fat, it was the vegetables. I would never have figured this out without you. I am now consistently losing weight and have no more IBS pain. I eat OMAD and feel best if I eat red meat and eggs and bacon in that meal. I can't afford all grass fed organic beef and knowing it doesn't have to be has been so liberating so thank you for sharing that because it was my biggest road block to this and seeing you say it could be any meat was insanely helpful.
Amazing! I see you and hear you say that you were someone who was obese and I think to myself... AMAZING! Then you say to us that you're not a "sciencee" person, yet you dispense these wonderfully pragmatic insights. If I were to try to take notes, Laura, I would need a heck of a lot of paper! I wouldn't be surprised if your videos become classic "go to" videos. Thank you for what you do, Laura.
You are so kind thank you!
Preach, Sister! You are absolutely awesome! Can’t wait to see this channel develop. I am #allinforaugust and subscribed!!!
I've been carnivore for a week tomorrow(Monday)
I haven't had a headache since Tuesday and it was a mild one. They were chronic.
WOW!!!! YAAAA YOU!
The headaches are probably brain tumours from loving trump 🤣
So Swan Kelly, how has it gone for you?
Do you eat butter? I love butter on a steak!
Yes. Love butter
Speaking of snacks, from the great Low Carb MD podcast you recommended in your Instagram story, Dr Robert Cywes said, "A snack is always an emotional event." I know a lot of people snack, and most don't realize it, but it's just feeding the emotions and getting the endorphin high. That's why a snack triggers many people. We've got to get away from emotional eating. That's how we got fat in the first place.
Yes!!! That resonated so much with me!!
I agree. But I'm still in the need to feed the emotions even though I've narrowed the window. Great honest info. Nice to hear from another food addicted personality.
And yet as early as daycare they make snacking the norm. My kid's soccer had breaks for snacks!!!!!! We are talking 5 year olds playing for like half an hour!!!! Wtf is wrong with this society of 🐑?
Hi, my name is Robin and I am a macadamia-nut-a-holic. We need an MA meeting.
💛💛😂😂😂 so true!!!!
Robin I will loan you my teenage boys, the are always hungry and I only have empty cans (of any nut) in my pantry.
lol
Yes!!! Had to cut them. 😐
Hiii, my name is Erika and I'm a nut-a-holic... yesterday I ate 1 can of the mix nuts😫😭😭😭😭 I couldn't say noooo😓😭😭😭😭😭
I have found that using the term “Emotionally Allergic” helps me remind myself of my Food Addiction.
Hi Laura! Once again, well done. I appreciate that you're keeping your content simple and uncomplicated. Also, a UA-cam tip, by keeping the length of your videos under 20 mins you will gather more views. It's a busy world an lots of viewers won't sit for an hour to watch your fantastic content.
Good tip! Thanks!
Sardines and herring are inexpensive sources of Omega 3 (most are wild caught and cheap!!)
First time I tried them I expected them to taste like crap but OMG 😮 they are quite tasty 😋
I agree! I top them with a Tbl of apple cider vinegar! Delish
Good to know...I have some in the cabinet and have been too chicken to try!
When I know I’m going to have a can of sardines, I leave a brick of cream cheese out to soften, then mix a third of a brick with a tin of sardines and make like a paste or pate. I just eat it like an appetizer to my main meat meal. I’m thinking about making chaffles to spread them on or make a sandwich with. That’s cheese and egg. Guess you can tell my version of carnivore includes all animal products at this point in my journey. I’m just starting out from Keto, so I need the variety to make it interesting. Then, I can see myself becoming more selective like this wonderful person is talking about in the video.
Polar herrings are the best and $1.25 per can
@@Beowulf-wt3kb , The cream cheese with the sardines sounds like something I would like to try. Thanks for sharing.
I have been on keto now for a couple of months and find myself eating less and less veggies and surprisingly not missing them...thinking of moving on to carnivore...love your sensible take on all of this..just watched your vid with your mom..(I'm 65) loved it, this is my second video of you...thanks, you rock!
Same here and only a month Keto for me...
Same here, im really considering going carnivore. Im kind of naturally doing it automatically. Im thinking of one meal also
Had the same experience on keto, veggies started tasting like dirt. Turns out I have G.I. issues with all beans. Carnivore now, happy as clams....oh yum...lol
Highly Favored you do you, I'll do me. Fyi I got here after a very clean plant-based diet (40+years) After experimenting, I know my body doesn't do fiber. Period. Blessings to you on your health journey.
I have been on a keto plan for 11 months now and I feel the same way. My wife is worried because I have slowed down on my vegetables and is always pushing them, but I find I feel better without them. I even think vegetables affect my inflammation response, because when I don't have them, my pain is less.
I think the problem with dairy is when its pasteurised. Pasturised butter, cheese are devoid of nutrients so I think that's where the compulsion to over eat them. I find If I stick to unpasteurised cheese like parmesan, which is made with raw milk I get the signal that I've had enough because it has the nutrients intact. Same with unpasteurised butter I can't eat as much of it as I can with a pasteurised butter. Just a thought as unpasteurised dairy is so nutrient dense. Shame it's so demonised.
Unfortunately the sale of raw dairy in Australia is still illegal
Chalet N - It's still not widely (or even easily) available in the U.S.! Go to any typical grocery store and you will have almost a zero percent chance of finding ANY dairy item that is unpasteurized! That is because the food and drug industries still walk hand-in-hand to keep us all addicted and returning to buy more, until they pass us off to their cronies in the extremely unhealthy "health" businesses!
Chalet N where do we jump on the bandwagon to fight for this?
BINGO
Mark J Pasturized and homogenised is certainly a non digestible substances.
Oh my! So glad I found you on you tube today! I'm just starting carnivore and what you're saying makes so much sense! Thanks!
Just began carnivore two weeks ag after 18 months of bad food in Australian lockdown. Watched the vid you did with your husband. You both look wonderful. Well done. Such an inspiration to others.
So excited to see you more on UA-cam!! I’ve been interested in going carnivore from keto but felt like I had to buy half a grass fed/finished cow in order to do it right. I’m especially interested in breaking my sweets addiction. Even though I cut out sugar with keto there’s still the opportunity to eat plenty of sweet tasting things which trigger my sweet tooth and cravings just the same. This video has given me the confidence to JUST START 😊 thank you!
Yes!!! Just start with grocery store foods and then work on the part of a cow in the future if you can!!
Eating all that CAFO meat and dairy though... 😳
At least with keto or even vlc, my CAFO intake is down, comparatively. I stress over nonpastured dairy even 🤷🏼♀️
Rly need to get quality dairy, like I get quality eggs now. Then affording quality MEAT ...AAACCCKKK
Day 52. Hanging in there. Thanks for this support.
52 days is fantastic!! Keep it going!!
52 days..do you need encouragement? You haven't had positive results?
Excellent advice! That's what I've been doing - just eating only animal foods and figuring the details out according to how I feel.
Yes!! Good idea. Learn as you go but why delay.
One of the favorite, and often used, sayings in surgery is “The enemy of good is better”. I agree with you. Don’t put this off till you can afford grass fed beef.
Well, you look beautiful and your hair and skin is beautiful- you must be doing many things correct! Thanks for the information ❤️
She's right. My body just can't handle dairy, but it loves eggs and meat.
Keep these videos coming!! Thank you!! 💯🥩💪💜
I still do air quotes! One of my English teachers did it in high school, I graduated in "83", and I picked it up.
I enjoy your videos, especially with your mom. Thanks for the encouragement. You rock!
I appreciate what you said, but as you get older you really have to step up like never before.
Thank you for sharing this information and your point of view, it is very refreshing. I think too many people get caught up in the details and science of diet, weight loss and health in general. Please keep doing your thing and sharing your experience. It's much appreciated.
Thank you for your videos Laura! ❤
I completely relate to you. I am addicted to food and I have tried so many diets and totally have failed which I think only makes my food addiction worse.
I really needed to hear that I don’t need to perfect & just start where I am and get off all of the junk.
This is why I will keep eating my huge gigantic salads, mostly lettuces in that with a few other fibrous veggies too. I need to eat a lot before I’m satisfied and I could eat a lot of meat cheese sour cream etc. I would be way over what my body needs to still be able to eat its own fat. And I got lots of fat left to eat on myself!
I dont have GI issues tho. I even have no problem eating SOME cheese or nuts as I am full from the big ass salad.
You look great, you sound great, so glad to hear of your journey.
Intermittment fasting is KEY too!! Yes yes yes!
My secret to staying on track is to eat boring food...steak every day becomes boring...chicken or fish with no seasoning is boring which helps me to eat only until full. I overeat when foods are deliciously seasoned. Thanks for your videos. Well done. Love ❤️ your mom, too
Life is too hard to not have pleasure eating.
Our bodies are designed to eat and digest a variety of foods, including sweet, salty, sour , etc., and different tastes. Our sense of smell has a purpose. Having an appetite is a sign of good health. Restricted eating is a trend right now. It will take 20 to 30 years to know how a carnivore and Keto diet really worked? There will be some adverse effects.
Well said!!! I am trying just to stay with ground beef and chicken for now....
I can definitely relate to what you said at 10:20! Once I start eating, it is hard to stop. I like the idea of just eating one big meal a day and feeling full so I won’t want to eat again in ten minutes. I’m gonna give it a try!
Love this for being just the info needed. This helps tremendously!! Thank you!
Hi Laura! We sound very much alike. I started carnivore today and I am very overweight. A concern I have about weight loss is all the excess skin. I noticed how healthy and tight your skin looks. Is this a result of the proper diet or did you have anything done? Thanks!
Just high fat and protein along with fasting I assume. And time. I do have excess skin but it is continuing to shrink over time. I have pictures on my Instagram.
I have lost almost 40 pounds, have another 45 to go. I have saggy skin/flesh right now, but am finding that using very light weights, and very low intensity exercise is helping to tone my muscle structure underneath. It takes time, be patient with yourself, and just stick to it. 😊 Blessings to you.
Skin is mostly protein. Exercising in a fasted state will help heal excess skin.
great video I've been doing keto since November of last year and I think I'm going to transition into the carnivore diet after this 48-hour fast I'm on
Excellent advice Laura. Myself I just jumped right in about a week ago and am amazed at how much this meal plan did me. Each of your videos is getting better and better. I would like to know if you had any health problems before or while on carnivore. I am obese but honestly if I can help my fibromyalgia it would be awesome. Of all my subscriptions on UA-cam your the only one with the bell on. 🥳😃
💛💛💛 You are too kind! I had a lot of digestive issues and was prediabetic. I know many people that have reduced inflammation and fibromyalgia with Carnivore!
Hi Laura!
I watched an interview you did a while ago and when you popped up in my suggested videos I was so happy! Welcome to UA-cam! I appreciate you sharing your journey. I started OMAD carnivore yesterday. I think my main question for you is do you shoot for a calorie goal? I know you also fasted and I’m wondering if you could talk more about that as well. Since starting OMAD I find that my appetite has decreased a lot and sometimes I’m forcing myself to eat even when I’m not hungry because that is my eating window... and sometimes I’m super hungry lol... I guess I’m curious if you make sure you eat a certain amount every day so you are not under eating/over eating?
I dont worry about it for a day or 2. But you dont want to consistently under eat. If you are finding you are super hungry think back to your previous meal or activity, you likely didnt eat enough then. I wouldnt force food though. I dont track my calories but I have had to limit my portions or increase fasting at times to keep losing.
So inspirational and well said. You are completely honest about your food triggers and addictions. The three big ones that caught my attention are nuts, cheese, and as soon as you eat it is hard to stop. So much good advice: eat meat you can afford, eat only twice or once a day, pay attention to how you feel. Your point that we cannot let “approved” carnivore foods overrule how we personally react is appreciated. It is also great to see your transformation. You don’t just look slim and pretty, you look healthy, vibrant, and beautiful. I see this in others who combine IF with LCHF, Keto, and/or carnivore. Thanks for sharing your incredible carnivore experience.
Thank you so much 😄
Just subscribed after watching you and your mom. Thanks again. From one layman to another, just great. Love it.
Tried and true.
I just came from the video with your mom. This video has answered my questions. I’m subscribed. You have really helped me to go ahead and give carnivore another go. I’ve gotten depressed the first few times I’ve tried it.
What time of day do you eat your one meal? Thank you.
Around noon.
Sometimes the thing about nuts, is the salt.
Solved with adding more pink salt to your bottles of water.
Discipline is what we have to learn to have when eating, something that is hard to do, but it can be done. You are proof of that.
I find myself eating less. I started eating 3 meals a day now I’m down to 1 or 2. I feel so energized
Omg look at your sub #'s....they are growing like crazy♡♡♡♡♡
You do speak the truth. Same here. Not satisfied with anything but beef. The cheese, nuts, and such just make me want to keep eating. I can eat and eat and eat....unless I eat nonseasoned beef.
This was very helpful thank you!
Thank you so much. I just watched your video with your mom, AWESOME.
love the length of your videos. anymore time my mind wanders. thanks for the info!
I’m not an organ meat eater. I’m still doing my strawberries, macaroons, pork rinds, cheese, bacon. I guess maybe I need to rethink these items, because I’m not losing like I want to. I’m kind of at a stall with my weight loss now.
So true with what you are saying. Some people are not able to eat the way as one person can. So it’s an experiment with each person’s body.
I tried LCHF; gained weight; Keto ultra LCHF found out that cauliflower makes me gain weight, found a vid interview with Kelly Hogan, who has been carnivore for 20+ years, so tried it starting in Apr/May. Lost about 30 pounds then stalled in June. Got rid of the dairy mostly and mayo more importantly and lost weight. Started OMAD July 1st; 1/2# meat and 4 fried eggs; with potassium chloride and magnesium supplements because I have always suffered from leg cramps; lost another 20 pounds by mid Jul and by mid August down 60. The last two months I have not been strict carnivore, but bounce up and down the same 5 pounds; also eat 2 times per day. Was really bad at my grandson's BD; ate pizza and tried a bite of the Costco chocolate cake I used to love. The pizza was great, but I had wheat headaches, the cake tasted like chemicals so I spit it out and tried to wipe my tongue. I have discovered that I do not enjoy the taste of breads, donuts, cookies, etc. like I remember, but I never tire to a good steak with a couple eggs. I like not having any "rules" about eating. Now if I could just get my fellow to eat this way, life would be much simpler - he is hungry/hangry all the time. Older female T2 diabetic still carrying one extra person on a moderate body frame - that's me. I weigh and test fasting blood sugar once a day and keep a log of it.
@lauraspath and @merrymarthlamb you both have given me hope! I have been lazy keto 70% of the past 3 years..I am not good at counting cals/macros. Couldn't lose weight except for the same 15 lbs. Got back on a few months ago and ate omad...fell off...not sure why and for two weeks...didn't binge, but ate anything I wanted including reese cups...omg! I immediately blew up 10 lbs...feel horrible and joints horrifically swollen. I am now day 6 carnivore...drinking tons of water, and I must admit..weaning off the diet coke...my one true vice in life. Petrified I will gain weight, but truly want this to work for me. Tired of being tired. Thank you!
Ok, this is my second time watching this video. Aug 8, I jumped in with both feet. So far, my weight is already down 2 lbs. And I had been concerned about eating so much beef, as I'm more of a chicken lover. BUT, I stepped out of my comfort zone and am eating beef. To my surprise, I'm growing to enjoy it. And even looking forward to my 2 meals a day. I have been fasting, with a 6 hr eating window, for approx 3 mos., already. So this was easy for me. I appreciate your advice and plain talk approach to starting the Carnivore eating plan. Thank you for sharing.
That's great!!! Keep it up!!
New subscriber. Watched your into vid. Loved it. Came to here, second video watched, and noticed the strikingly beautiful way you look! You're glowing! Glad I subbed. I've lost 46 lbs since April 2019. Have gravitated to Carnivore. Your vids keep me inspired and on track. Thank you!
Great progress!!! Keep it going. Thank you. 😄
I am just starting the Carnivore diet! But I am 63 so I do not know if it will work for me! Thanks for sharing and you look amazing!
I am 76 and yes carnivore will work for you. I am on this journey for healing my inflammation. I had so much low back pain when walking or moving around, i was so determined to figure out what part diet plays in healing. I am so much better with physical movement, and I absolutely have NO cravings. I eat mostly rib eye steaks or beef roasts, bacon, heavy whipping cream with 1 or sometimes 2 cups coffee, hard and pure cheeses. I learned to use salt daily. All my life I thought salt was the enemy. I love water so no problem there. Know your body and what irritates your system and you will be pleased with the results. Good luck with your journey.
@@carolynpumilia1593 do you eat only 1 meal a day? I am 63 and am keto.. Thinking about this way of eating.. It makes sense to me.
mzmargo I usually eat two meals a day. Eggs and bacon or sausage for breakfast. Evening meal usually ribeye steak, or other meat. I eat liver. Fried with bacon 2 times a week. Hard cheeses like Parmesan or full fat real cheeses not processed and heavy whipping cream for my coffee.
Carolyn Pumilia thanks for the reply. This seems overwhelming for me. I travel for a living and am trying to wrap my head around packing 3 days worth of meat/eggs/cheeses and cream. I know I wouldn’t be the first fight attendant carnivor but being fat adapted and only needing to eat once a day would be a plus for my lifestyle.
@@mzmargo Depending on what works for you and your goals, you may not need to pack 3 days worth of food. When I am on carnivore, I tend to just eat one meal a day. Additionally, I find fasting, especially water fasting, for a few days can be quite doable and refreshing. I've always struggled with fasting so this has been quite the surprise. You may also want to look into "preserved" meats such as pemmican.
One thing that has been helpful for me is when I am on the go and don't have a lot of time, I stop at In and Out to order a Flying Dutchman or two. Basically two hamburger patties with a slice of cheese between them. It may not be optimal but I find it much better than many alternatives.
To help keep it from being overwhelming, perhaps you can simplify somewhat. Start out with just meat and water. If you need variety, try ground beef, sliced chicken (I find dark meat to be the best) and hard boiled eggs. I have found some airport food stands have hard boiled eggs. Some burger places will sell you plain cheeseburgers without the bun.
I am a food addict and tried the “eat until full recipe “ and found out that that wasn’t the best way for me to undertake this woe.
I now have learned what “eating until satiated “ means for my body.
I think it’s working! I feel more in control of my eating and feeling stronger! Hooray for meat!
Btw, it took me a while to cut out pork rinds and cheese. Trigger food for sure!!!
Great!! I am the same way!! I can easily over eat but I learned how much I can eat and not gain (or keep losing before). So glad it is working for you!
Herbalcat same here...my shut off hormone doesn’t work so I can eat until I’m suddenly in pain and then it’s too late. Low carb has helped this immensely!
Stephanie Peters omg that happens to me all the time😭😭
If you up the quality of your food you automaticly eat less
I'm still trying to learn what satiety feels like. I tend to overeat. So it would help what satiety felt like. I'm trying to start on the carnivore diet, so knowing what to feel when full or satiated, would help.
Love your videos. So realistic & down to Earth. None of this "YOU HAVE TO eat Grass Fed & Finished, Organic Meats & Poultry & Eggs ONLY" rhetoric. Sure if we were all named Gates, or Buffett, or Rockefeller etc, no problem. But most of us on a limited income or budget still want to eat healthy as best we can AFFORD.
Anyhoo I also watched your Carnivore Journey video, and I could reallt relate to it.
I am a 59 yr old Type 2 diabetic for 20 + years. In February 2018 I weighed 368 lbs. I went on Keto + IF (18/6, 20/4 - My Fave) + 2MAD or OMAD. I lost 100 lbs over the past 16 months but have recently hit a plateau.
So I am going to try the Carnivore diet for a month or two to see if I can break through the plateau.
Your videos help encourage me to feel it can be done WITHOUT needing to eat ONLY the best types of foods. (Organic, G F & F, etc)
I am a new subscriber to your channel.I am binge watching your videos and I love the way you come across with information, simple but informative, your a natural. Would love to meet you someday in person.
Agreed. Every body is different. We all need to be attuned to our bodies :) Cheers from Mindset Melodies.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, when you can add glycine to your carnivore diet it's super important to help the balance between thymine... in boron is pretty awesome also am not just saying this because I think I'm some trainer that knows more than everybody I'm saying it because it is for real important seriously.... it's definitely the second thing I talk to about everyone I train after I talk about salt of course I love Redmond's Real Salt...p.s. I'm 608 days without sugar in 230 days without carbohydrates and I'm training to go on stage... in my lady's doing it with me it's amazing thank you again for your videos I also will send this to people I'm training
Paco Rodriguez how do you add glycine ?
You could take it in a collagen mix or you could just straight-up order through Amazon which is very cheap only $10
Can you explain the benefits of glycine
bravo
thanks for sharing your advice and journey!

I saw your video from 22 of July. Now this video is from the 31st. Why is your face so much slimmer looking? Anyhoo, congrats on your success and your hubbys too. Your vids gave me the boost I needed to start carnivore. It´s been a crappy year for me as my carb addiction took the better of me. Keto has been good for me. Wish my wife would hop on board. She dos´nt understand English all that good so I can´t sit her down to watch your vids;) You now have a follower from Finland. I really hope you can maintain your weight to January. I wanna see you buy something pretty:)
I did a fast between and was very strict. I lost some inflammation I had been holding from eating too much cheese on vacation.
I’m getting started this week!!😀
Laura you are so beautiful ! You are so healthy looking and have such a healthy glow.
I just subscribed! Congrats on keeping the weight off for 6 months! I have struggled with weight for many years, and having to take medications for bipolar disorder has made my weight gain even worse. I lost 30 lbs on keto, fell off, and still off, and gaining weight back fast🙁. I want to try carnivore, but I will still have my tea with stevia and heavy cream, because I don't want to detox from sugar and caffeine at the same time. I get super depressed if I do that. Could you do a video on emotional eating and binge eating? That would be so helpful!
I feel like if I eat lunch then I want to eat all day. I prefer to eat my one meal after 4 pm and then I am more satisfied and can curb my cravings and urge to overeat and snack. I am glad to hear I’m not the only one. Do you think this is related to food addiction? I struggle with food addiction for sure.
Dear Mrs. Spath, does the "carnivore diet" include fish? Seems that you, Dr. Berry, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Baker only eat beef. Just seems that fish, with the "better" Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio should be better for us. Thank you ma'am.
I was wondering the same, like salmon?
@@HousewifeInTheWoods And other fish with shorter lifespans like cod, sardines and halibut should be good for us still; but not longer lifespan fish like Tuna and I think Swordfish. For me the sardines are a TOTAL no-brainer! Each can I get has 1.3 grams of Omega-3s. Pop the top, hit with hot sauce and you've got everything but fat ready to chow.
@@biform13 I have. A really hard time with the taste... they are so so so over the top fishy.... any ideas on recipies or hacks to choke em down?

I am the same way with chicken. Chicken does not digest well with me.
Home made bone broth helps me cut on coffee. My wife has to stay away from paprika as it triggers inflammation markers
That's great about the broth!! And perfect example about paprika!
Pedro Lavigne Bummer 🙁 I love smoked paprika.
Shenandoah Not everybody reacts negatively to paprika (considered a nightshade). My wife does and I don’t. Laura is right when she says: go with what works best for you.
Shenandoah yes smoked paprika! I eat it everyday with scrambled eggs, salt and Cholula hot sauce.
I feel that coffee has anti inflammatory properties on my body
Go get my ribeyes in bulk at butcher. Cheaper and fresher than grocery store. Also, I ask them to not trim the meat of fat.
I have a little more drive I'm borderline diabetic and have 950 Triglycerides, I cut out just about all carbs and all sugar that I could and I've lost 12 pounds in two months. I eat a lot of salads with chicken and tuna no red meats as of yet until I can get my blood work back. If I'm successful I would like to start the Carnivore diet I think I will be happier with that! Thanks for the video you have some great information.
I went from omnivore to gluten free to Keto / Paleo and finally the last stop; carnivore; I eat ground beef with just sea salt and scrambled eggs, sour cream once in a while as a treat, the occasional blade roast (which will last me 3 days) and I have developed a taste for bison liver. I recently made a batch of bone broth and tallow for the first time in my crock pot; drove my family and the dogs crazy lol. Because I live in Canada I'll have to make one more batch that lasts through the winter so the house doesn't smell so beefy lol!
thats great. So ground beef - is it lean. Thanks
Thank You Laura .. This is one of the most helpful videos on thus subject I have ever seen....
Thanks again for being so clear You are unique and we are all scanning multiple YT vlogs everyday. Keep to your own story and don't let so-called experts try to steer you into their way of thinking.
I have been mysteriously stalled for 5 days now so I am going to try just bone broth for the next 24 hours.
Do you have any memories of dealing with a stall?
Yes. I would increase fasting. Try just water for 24 hours.
I have watched a few of your videos and must say that you are so spot on, especially in this video. I love the way you communicate and bring so much reality to this. By that, I mean that I too have struggled with weight and food addiction. It's hell. But, in this video when you talked about sniffing peanut butter (which I've done! 😳) I felt empowered. I felt how that hurt and the reality finally hit me at that moment. I must admit, I'm excited to follow along with you on this journey.
5lbs of steak per day? My kind of girl. 🥰
Hi from the UK Laura, great to see you on UA-cam! I find that carnivore is freeing because of it's simplicity and how you can tailor it to your own needs/goals. Learning my triggers and adapting/improving all the time. ?Funny how nobody seems to like liver in this community, I've eaten it since childhood and I love it! Looking forward to your next post! Thanks and all the best! ☺
i love it
Yes! I love how simple it is. People either love liver or hate it.
Wow you look so beautiful!
☺️☺️☺️ thank you
My first “Love” you say you are STILL researching!!! Excellent for everyone to do their own due diligence.. thanks for sharing what you’ve learned through your journey it does help..
☺️🥰🥰 thank you!!
I eat ribeye steak salt water and Shrimp
Thomas Rooney eww you eat salt water 🤭
@@Painfulwhale360 yes 😂 when I fast I only drink salt water..... 72hrs
Steak and shrimp! Yes!
Excellent video. Please continue. 🌻
Thanks. This helped me. Just wanted you to know.
Thank you! I am so glad it helped
One supplement I'd suggest is cod liver oil. It's natural but has strong doses of vitamin A & D along with great omega 3 fatty acid. A lot of this is missing in muscle meats. I know I don't like organ meats which is what you'd have to eat to get these vitamins otherwise.
Bible Made Simple- UA-cam completely free! Cod liver oil is a lifesaver for those who can’t stomach organ meats lol 😂
I cannot stand cod liver oil, yuck, even though I know it’s good fir us. I just bought some grass fed organ pills, lol.
@@TSunshineful Carlson brand Cod Liver Oil has no taste. What are you taking?
I'd love to hear from those who are dealing with insulin issues ...

My type 2 diabetes is reversed completely. Now off all meds. I am 70 years old.
@@jrowlove7328That is awesome that you've gone off all meds and reversed your T2 Diabetes.
What range (Before & After meals) are your blood sugar levels at now?
I'm 59 & have been a T2 Diabetic for over 20 yrs. On Lantus & Humulin R insulins for 5 yrs. Been on Keto + IF for abt 16 months. Before I started my HbA1c was at 14-22 mmol. Now it's between 4.8 - 5.4 mmol.
My insulin dosages were 35/12 (Lantus/ Humulin R), and now I only take 8 Units of Humulin R. I went off all insulin for 3 weeks but my fasting blood sugar levels went from an average of 4.7 mmol/L to an average of 5.8 mmol/L; and I prefer/want them 5.2 or lower. ( Preferably below 5). So I went back on the Humulin R.
So I'm going to try the Carnivore diet for a month or two to see how it will affect my blood sugar levels.
@@jrowlove7328 thank you for your input in regards to high sugar.
I was diagnosed with T2 Diabetes on July 27th this year. My Keto life began on the 2nd of August, lost almost 20lbs so far and I haven't looked back.
I'm able to manage my diabetes through diet and exercise
My biggest concern has been whether a change into the carnivorous diet would somehow spike my sugars.
I will keep you in mind and will try the carnivorous diet with the hope of fully reversing my T2 Diabetes.
Thank you

You will get awesome results. Good luck.

God bless you. Listen to your body. We do NOT have to let type 2 diabetes kill and maim us.
Good for you and your husband! I eat all kinds of meat including organs and I love the pork hocks. Most of my cooking is in a slow cooker except steaks, and everything is yummy! Salt and pepper are my only additives, well that and butter! Good journeys !
Awesome advice!! Way to keep it simple.
You from Philly? Just detect a bit of our accent. Love your channel.
😂 I lived in Chicago before Arizona
I found your video so encouraging! What kind of an adjustment period can I expect if I were to just eat meat only from this meal forward?
I would say 30 days is a great time to feel your best. How long of an adjustment depends on what kind of diet you are coming from.
I found your channel randomly and you are the most relatable person’s videos I’ve ever stumbled upon. I watched your diet history video and it was the closest anyone has ever come to saying how I feel about “dieting”. The part where you said you are good at restriction but don’t know moderation is ME to a T! I was hardcore successfully keto for months, had one cheat meal and stopped keto for almost a YEAR! I’ve been back on keto for about 3 months at this point but I feel like I’m stalled and bloated, just not 100% 😔 hence the research on carnivore.. and you are the one that’s convinced me to go for it. All this grass fed organ eating talk is super intimidating even coming from a minimal carb diet but you make it seem so doable! Thanks for being so awesome
What are some non dairy sources of calcium
Beef
Reality isnt A choice three oz of filet mignon tenderloin has 8 mg of calcium
I eat a wide variety of protein to stave off boredom and have done very well. Easy peasy!
Still take all my usual supplements just because I want to. Can't overeat because once I've eaten to satisfy, then I'm done. No cravings whatsoever.
GREAT video! I've done carnivore before ... off and on several times... mostly to get immediate reduction on inflammation... works every time... for me, even with cheese, mayo, etc.... but this time, I want to long haul it for weight loss and overall health... I LOVE your videos! They are so helpful and encouraging! Thank you!
I really like your approach and I thank you for the simple yet effective change from keto to carnivore. I want to go from 2 light meals a day to one carnivore and you've described the basic way to do it. Thanks!
This woman is stone beautiful!
Haven't gone carnivore yet but whether you are doing keto or carnivore I do think you should do the best you can and not trip up on purity.
purity?
