Yeah idk what Seek was talking about with the F-15 being the only plane to get AMRAAMs. PLENTY of planes will get Fox-3s - the F-16C being one of them. Edit: The F-16C Block 50 we have in game is also from 2006. Technically speaking the Block 50 can get up to 9Xs and C-7 AMRAAMs, but we're far from both of those. Hell, the F-16A ADF can get AMRAAMs (and almost assuredly will for Italy). The F-16A MLU also gets access to them (technically only getting C's, but I doubt that would stop Gaijin from giving it AIM-120Bs)

We’ve always had some type of power creep. Nothing really new. Only issues is that they need to fix the 100m ceiling for radar, lower play counter or revamp of ARB and maybe add ARB EC w/ Respawn, and simply increase the BR. I personally don’t think the F-15, Su-27/J-11, or Gripen will be broken but I do believe all these types of jets shouldn’t be seeing 11.7 and below jets.
I agree with everything, except that Smin1080p actually confirmed that the 100m ceiling was purposely made for balance purposes. Probably will stay that way for a while.
There used to be a matchmaking split that started around 6.7/7.0 that prevented jets and props from matching together, except when queue times were really bad. I hardly ever saw props when I played the P-80 and Me 262 back then. Gaijin should bring back the split and add a few more.
I doubt they would only give the F-15 AMRAAMs, here’s why. For one, the F-15 can carry 2 more AAMs then the F-16, and it can also pull more Gs then the F-16. That means it pulls harder, while carrying 6 AMRAAMs and 2 Winders. That’s a hella lot of incentive to grind for it

I'd love to see a video where you'd put planes in a tier list, but unlike those that go from S to F tiers, they are BRs going from say 8.0 to wherever it ends up, applying the metrics used at prop tiers. I think it'd give a sense of the scale of compassion at jet tiers.

Lee pointed out in his video about the gripen variants and their armament that the the czech gripens used AIM9Ms. So those missiles for the gripen are a possibility too cause the C variant is basically a all nato weapons compatible gripen

What is so surprising exactly? I thought this was the way the games direction was headed ever since update 1.85, when they added the MiG-19PT and F-100D and first premium jet aircraft to the game?
Well, early F-15s and SU-27s were put in service without the AMRAAM up until F-15C/D (early 1991). But then, when the AMRAAM would be on game, F-16C will be put up in BR since the F-16C (in game) were put in service during the 2000s.
I think these vehicles are being added more in the consideration of giving other nations competitive BVRAAM capable aircraft. Japan, Israel, China, Italy, etc.. The F-15C (yes the C variant) would be a great addition to both Israel and Japan while the Su-27 would be a good all around fighter for USSR and China especially considering how it can only carry R-27ER, albeit six of them and four R-73s simultaneously (not sure the exact number but it has ten pylons). The Gripen C of course is basically confirmed, but then the only other option would be the F/A-18C (or for most countries simply the F-18C), a great multirole aircraft that could come to USA, Germany (Swiss), Italy (Spain), and Sweden (Finland).
What about R-27P/EP(Р-27П/ЭП)? This already familiar missile R-27, but he has a new guidance head (9B1032), with semi-active guidance to the source of radio waves (to the aircraft radar)
4 x AIM-7 Sparrow or upgraded AIM-120 AMRAAM. 6 x AGM-65 Maverick. 4 x AGM-62 Walleye. 4 x AGM-45 Shrike, AGM-88 HARM or AGM-78 Standard ARM. F-4S real life had them so i need them in game

Introducing aim-120 and r-77 with F-15A and Su-27 seems a weird choice considering the early versions of these jets didn’t carry fox3 and could be implemented in the game alongside the F-14B. I hope the snail doesn’t give them a strong fox3 yet. Imo at this stage it would be better if such missiles are given to aircraft with at least some limitations like lightweight fighters with limited payloads (F-16C, MiG-29SMT, Jas-39 and Ja-37) or aircraft that are strong in BVR but ass in dogfight(F-4ICE, F-4Ej Kai, Tornado F.3). Not sure about France and israel.
I don't think people realize how deadly am AMRAAM or R77 is close range, say around 8km, it's a death sentance. I bet a lot of people will favour these missiles over the Fox 2's being that they overlap in the loadout, ofc you would need at least 2 Fox 2's for close range, but I feel like the meta will shift due to the death sentance that is being close to anyone with Fox 3's, ask anyone who plays DCS.

@@J7E_Enjoyer Yeah you'll likely find more success running full Magic-II's (maybe taking 1x SARH just in case). The IRCCM buffs on the Magic-II's are great, so you can still have some success with those. Radar missiles (meaning AMRAAMs) will likely still be hard countered by flying low to the ground, so it won't be too bad. It's definitely a rough road ahead until MICAs come though.

In Iranian service I'm skeptical if Iran scored more than 3 kills against fighters throughout its entire stint in Iran-Iraq war. Only F-14 drivers would ever say the AIM-54 was ever useful in A2A as a fox-3 against fighters because they were butt-hurt about it constantly getting sidelined and cucked by the AMRAAM later in its service. Given how many AIM-54's were probably fired in Iran service my guess is that it's probably less than 10%. The AIM-54 is simply not designed for fighters and no amount of evaluation of anecdotal evidence will ever change that.
Stealth is a whole new pandoras box. Idk how it can be implemented in the game. Sure, the F-117 is harmless, but that can’t be said for literally every other stealth aircraft. Most nations didn’t have stealth aircraft up until the 2010s and some don’t have them even now. It’s a similar situation to heavy bombers where they can’t be implemented in a balanced way.

You seem to forget something. All F-16s in game are already capable of carrying the AIM-120, just like the 12.0 Mig29s were capable of carrying the R-73. None of them got it though. What is far more likely is that there will be something like a Mig29 Late and a F-16 late, which get AMRAAM support.
Wt can't have late variants of f-16c (block 50) and mig-29smt. Because both came in service with its fox-3 weapons stock. Also gaijin didn't preemptively put (early) designation in their name already, unlike a-10 and f-14. Which for f-14, literally only the early airframes has functional canard-thing that deploy at supersonic speed
The idea of the 15, 27, and Gripen combo is something I called 6 months ago. I said to my squadron, "I guarantee the christmas update will bring those three because they'll flesh out a base for most nations to get ARH missiles."

@@darktemplardelta268 I think the chaos of 16v16 is somewhat balancing the game, because every missile gets at least some chance. 8v8 will really favour BVR planes. Just think about Sweden or France or even Britain in an 8v8 environment.
15A and C can carry 8 total AAM's, all of them can be AMRAAM. Otherwise up to 4 winders and 4 sparrows. the 120 is the only one able to be mounted on all AAM hardpoints.
Being completely honest F15, Su27 don't make a whole lot of sense as of now. We have a ton of planes (JA37D, Mirage 2000-5F, Tornado F.3, F-16, J-8F, Mig-29) that can outright carry active missiles or were the whole point (upgrade packages, see 37D for example) of producing the variants. Either gaijin just flat out adds much better planes to only some nations while compensating with active missiles (France, China, Britain), pushing the planes up even when they are already not too competitive, or hopefully, gaijin takes the opportunity to add stuff like the gripen as its inclusion would now be justified. However its gaijin so who the hell knows, add F-15 and Su27, leave britain with the F.3/4...
Britain is CNBT at this point. Idk why they are held back so much. The FGR.2 was carrying AIM-9L but the snail refuses to add it even if the plane has been nerfed and powercrept into oblivion and desperately needs it. The tornado is an absolute joke as well. Literally worse manoeuvrability than a WW2 bomber for some reason. Most nations get a patch or two to shine, but Britain has been consistently shafted for years.

Before you call it “fake” please back it up with A how did he move the cdk files over to the hanger (you literally cant as a player) B how did he rotate around the aircraft like that with the mouse visible. You cant do that in a user mission. C why did the country list react to the mouse when it hovered over the names? Quite extreme edits for a game leak? Introducing aim-120 and r-77 with F-15A and Su-27 seems a weird choice considering the early versions of these jets didn’t carry fox3 and could be implemented in the game alongside the F-14B. I hope the snail doesn’t give them a strong fox3 yet. Imo at this stage it would be better if such missiles are given to aircraft with at least some limitations like lightweight fighters with limited payloads (F-16C, MiG-29SMT, Jas-39 and Ja-37) or aircraft that are strong in BVR but ass in dogfight(F-4ICE, F-4Ej Kai, Tornado F.3). Not sure about France and israel.
It woud be a slap in the face to the F-16C B50 if it didn't get the AMRAAM, as that's what the B50 variant was largely designed around.
I don't think people realize how deadly am AMRAAM or R77 is close range, say around 8km, it's a death sentance. I bet a lot of people will favour these missiles over the Fox 2's being that they overlap in the loadout, ofc you would need at least 2 Fox 2's for close range, but I feel like the meta will shift due to the death sentance that is being close to anyone with Fox 3's, ask anyone who plays DCS.

@@neobrandeggenalso don’t forget that DCS is as close to reality as WT, devs of both games mostly only guess how those systems/arms work(DCS is just a bit more complex)
DCS is really really unrealistic about how it handles BVR combat, but you are right that close range AMRAAMs are scary.
They should make a special BR/Gamemode ONLY for F-15, F-16, Mig-29, Su-27 and other modern jets.

Smin1080p confirmed the MICA is too advanced to come this patch. It will definitely come in the future, but it's been "denied" for the December patch.
@@Blanchboi but super 530Ds are possibly the worst SARH at top tier, its gonna be so bad using them against aim-120s, guess its time to put my mirage 200 in its hangar for a few months and wait until mica is added so i can be competitive again albeit probably in a nerfed state, they will find a way to make it 10x worse than it actually is and not share where they got the info from, aka they made it up
@@J7E_Enjoyer Yeah you'll likely find more success running full Magic-II's (maybe taking 1x SARH just in case). The IRCCM buffs on the Magic-II's are great, so you can still have some success with those. Radar missiles (meaning AMRAAMs) will likely still be hard countered by flying low to the ground, so it won't be too bad. It's definitely a rough road ahead until MICAs come though.
@@Blanchboi yeah true, i already take either 4 magics or 3 magics and a super 530d but withy AMRAAMS the disadvantage of having to maintain a radar lock could see SARH being used much less just because people with ARH can fire from relative safety as they can defend as soon as the missile leaves the rail

In Iranian service I'm skeptical if Iran scored more than 3 kills against fighters throughout its entire stint in Iran-Iraq war.
Only F-14 drivers would ever say the AIM-54 was ever useful in A2A as a fox-3 against fighters because they were butt-hurt about it constantly getting sidelined and cucked by the AMRAAM later in its service.
Given how many AIM-54's were probably fired in Iran service my guess is that it's probably less than 10%.
The AIM-54 is simply not designed for fighters and no amount of evaluation of anecdotal evidence will ever change that.

Stealth is a whole new pandoras box. Idk how it can be implemented in the game. Sure, the F-117 is harmless, but that can’t be said for literally every other stealth aircraft. Most nations didn’t have stealth aircraft up until the 2010s and some don’t have them even now. It’s a similar situation to heavy bombers where they can’t be implemented in a balanced way.

Dude, UK top tier is 2 phantoms with 4 9G and 4 skyflash(aim7E2). And Tornado F3, worse to the phantoms in flight performance and gun, only better in missiles, but skyflashTEMP is not better that AIM7-F

All F-16s in game are already capable of carrying the AIM-120, just like the 12.0 Mig29s were capable of carrying the R-73.
None of them got it though.
What is far more likely is that there will be something like a Mig29 Late and a F-16 late, which get AMRAAM support.
If the source of these leaks wasn’t so credible, I’d consider that.
Wt can't have late variants of f-16c (block 50) and mig-29smt. Because both came in service with its fox-3 weapons stock. Also gaijin didn't preemptively put (early) designation in their name already, unlike a-10 and f-14. Which for f-14, literally only the early airframes has functional canard-thing that deploy at supersonic speed

The idea of the 15, 27, and Gripen combo is something I called 6 months ago. I said to my squadron, "I guarantee the christmas update will bring those three because they'll flesh out a base for most nations to get ARH missiles."

It does not make sense for the flanker and eagle to come this update, gaijin has been hyping up the gripen so much. And if the flanker and eagle come the gripen is not going to be competitive against them.

@@darktemplardelta268 I think the chaos of 16v16 is somewhat balancing the game, because every missile gets at least some chance. 8v8 will really favour BVR planes. Just think about Sweden or France or even Britain in an 8v8 environment.

15A and C can carry 8 total AAM's, all of them can be AMRAAM. Otherwise up to 4 winders and 4 sparrows. the 120 is the only one able to be mounted on all AAM hardpoints.

Being completely honest F15, Su27 don't make a whole lot of sense as of now. We have a ton of planes (JA37D, Mirage 2000-5F, Tornado F.3, F-16, J-8F, Mig-29) that can outright carry active missiles or were the whole point (upgrade packages, see 37D for example) of producing the variants. Either gaijin just flat out adds much better planes to only some nations while compensating with active missiles (France, China, Britain), pushing the planes up even when they are already not too competitive, or hopefully, gaijin takes the opportunity to add stuff like the gripen as its inclusion would now be justified.
However its gaijin so who the hell knows, add F-15 and Su27, leave britain with the F.3/4...
Britain is CNBT at this point. Idk why they are held back so much. The FGR.2 was carrying AIM-9L but the snail refuses to add it even if the plane has been nerfed and powercrept into oblivion and desperately needs it. The tornado is an absolute joke as well. Literally worse manoeuvrability than a WW2 bomber for some reason. Most nations get a patch or two to shine, but Britain has been consistently shafted for years.
Well we already saw a leak showing a video of the f-16C equipped with aim-120s they are the A/B version with the C camo.
