Just about to embark on several month across the globe with my 40L so this was most helpful. Have done 3/4 weeks before but new respect for this longer trip across continents and climates…
We are really happy you found our video helpful! What we have learned is that as long as you have the gear for multiple climates whether it’s a month or 6 month the gear is the same. As long as it’s good quality so it last and you do some washing you will be good 😊 have an amazing trip!!! ☺️
@ yes, figured that out when I went minimal on the multiple week trips but also truly understood the importance of great gear and so grateful for your authentic reviews and tips. Also getting a lot of itinerary inspo from your other videos ☺️
Thanks folks for the video! Indeed super helpful! ❤ Helped me pack for 9 months into America! One question I was having though is, if you’re ever bringing a second pair of shoes (in case the main ones get wet)
We are so happy you found our video helpful and it helped you pack! :) For shoes, we always bring one pair of closed toed shoes (usually black running shoes or trail runners (if you plan to do a lot of hiking) as they can be sort of dressed up and are good for exercising). Then a pair of teva sandals (we will wear them out if we know its going to rain as they dry fast). I (dev) also can fit Berkinstocks as well.
We have a few items from North Face that we love. We’ve heard of Arctyrex, would love to have some items from them but currently out of our budget 🙈. We haven’t heard of the other brands we will have to look into them :)
Those are luxury brands. When you're travelling, things can get lost so they wouldn't be smart choices, however, if you're going to Dubai or Monaco it would be ideal so you would fit right in.
@@Tearoze ever heard of EBay? Poshmark? Goodwill? Who said it needs to be bought at retail? It will be slightly more expensive than Amazon brands, yes, but these brands’ products last a lifetime
Excellent video and advice. The thing about packing your bag the same way each time is so important. I travel so much that my packing is almost by rote. I went on vacation with my husband and at first thought I'd take a bigger bag than my usual carry-on rolly bag, but I couldn't get my head around how to pack it, lol. I went back to my smaller bag.
Thanks so much Jeanne! It’s so true, once you have your way to pack stick with it. It’s definitely helped us a lot, also to make sure you don’t forget anything! Thanks so much for watching 🥰
Never taking laptop.last time managed to think dont need photos as on cloud and mem stick but cloud ones also vanished and mem stick was corrupted!! Dont know how didnt just stock to my memory cards!!!! Go figure. 30l 1 bag is my aim...1 stumbling block down jacket wasnt warm enough in worst winter for 50 yrs in Turkey had to get whole new outfit which had to be left behind finally .love your helpful detailed hints..
We are happy you liked our video and found it helpful! We travel with laptops because we have to work on the road, but if you do not need one, defiantly don't bring it as it is a valuable and extra weight! :) Thanks for watching!
Do you have one backpack for toiletries and clothes and another for tech gadgets? Wondering how would the airline allow carrying all these in the cabin.
No we both carry our own clothes, and toletires and tech gear. Our camera gear goes in keiths personal item, the 6L peak design bag: peak-design.pxf.io/DK3kx2I also carry some tech gear in my personal item the purse: www.amazon.ca/shop/keithdev/list/1G27F2BU3V82A?ref_=aipsflist_aipsfkeithdev. If you watch the end of the video we show how we pack (in fast forward) or you can check out our how we pack video (we have downsized a bit since it was made) ua-cam.com/video/OpArSZWrLPA/v-deo.html. We also give getting on the airplane tips at the end as well.
Thanks Anna! We got them through sidebyside, here is the link to the website but it does look like they are sold out at the moment sidebysidegear.com/products/travel-kit-01 also we do have a 10% discount with them if you use (10% off with code KEITHANDDEV10) at checkout :) Hopefully they are back in stock soon
You guys are super cute, love your video. We are planning on a 2-3 weeks trip to Spain, Italy, Croatia, and Finland for summer 2025. So your video on how to pack for different climates is perfect. On your packing for how long did you plan it for? ❤
We are so happy you found our video so helpful! :) for your question do you mean how long were we away for? Our trips are usually between 2 months and 6 months at a time. If thats not what you meant let me know we are happy to answer any other questions.
@@KeithandDev it is perfect, I found your packing list PDF and it is so detailed it was just what I needed. I love watching your videos. Congratulations on your wedding🙂
Great questions! You will always be able to find some form of coffee but in certain places unless you find a nice cafe it will be instant coffee. We like to have some with us more for early morning travel days or when we are moving quickly :)
Thank you for this video. I am planning a 1-year trip for next year and this helped me a lot create my own packing list. I have a question about printing vaccinations. Did you have to print everything you have done even vaccines when you were children?
Glad it was helpful! The vaccines we have printed is our covid vaccines and then certian places need certain vaccines. For example in a part of Colombia to enter the national park you need your yellow fever vaccine papers. You dont need to have all of them printed :)
Thanks for watching :) Currently our souvenir policy is sadly not to buy much unless it is jewellery or things we will use and wear on the trip. Or if we know we will be heading home soon we might by a few small things for family :) We do often say we hope one day to go back to a lot of places to buy things for our future home (but currently thats a dream haha)
We got them through sidebyside, here is the link to the website sidebysidegear.com/products/travel-kit-01 also we do have a 10% discount with them if you use (10% off with code KEITHANDDEV10) at checkout :)
We actually address this in our video, and talk about the weight of our bags and our tips for how to get on the airplane with a carry on bag that’s more than 7kgs. :) it’s in the timestamps
Moving stuff from one bag to another doesn't work. The carry-on and personal item are allowed to weigh 7-8kg altogether on most airlines at least in Europe, so if they weigh bags, they weigh both.
For us we like to have all our gear with us, it also is usually cheaper and we can be faster when we get to a destination as we do not need to wait for a bag. That being said everyone travels differently and it is whatever works best for you :)
We have, and Osprey bags can be good for hiking. I have a 26L Osprey bag which we used alot when we had the van driving across canada for day hikes. But we find when you are living out of a backpack being carry on only we like peak design a lot more. The way you can organize the bag is really nice and they look sleeker and the shape always fits perfectly into airplane over head bins, where we have seen people struggle with bigger osprey bags. That is just our opinion, we really love our Peakdesign bags :) It is expensive but worth it, we got ours during black friday a few years ago and there was a really good sale peak-design.pxf.io/nLLBKM
Almost bought the Peak Design bag. But been hearing from a lot of people that the Straps are uncomfortable and the Backpanel will get sweaty very quick because it is not well ventilated. For the asking Price that is not so Great. Inotherwise the bag has so many features.
Thanks we are glad you liked it. The packing list is at least split up in to his and hers. Our last packing video we did do that and we meant to to it for this one but honestly we were in the zone filming and we totally forgot! At least there is the packing list to see everything separately :) sorry about that!
We only took them for a week, when we were in Laos. We will only take them if it’s a red zone on the world Malaria map which you can find online. Our stomachs might have been a little off but other than that no side effects.
Hi Olive, we are sorry you feel that way. We wanted to be short and precise as we have other longer packing videos. We do have a full detailed packing list with all our gear. And if you have any questions about anything we bring we are very happy to give you some detailed answers :)

But how you get your carry on to way 7kg? Most airlines does 7 kg carry on only other wise you need to check it

I put my toiletries in a LLBean toiletries bag I also use a check in suitcase much easier than a carry on

17:11 not totally true, you can get a Bluetooth transmitter like the AirFly and use any Bluetooth headphones you have for the plane infotainment
Neat! We had never heard of that before, we will have to look into it. Thank you 😊
@@KeithandDev my pleasure 👌

Saw on your list - Do you take the malaria meds? I have never taken them bc I have heard the side effects are so terrible.
We only took them for a week, when we were in Laos. We will only take them if it’s a red zone on the world Malaria map which you can find online. Our stomachs might have been a little off but other than that no side effects.
disappointed - not enough detail - too much in a hurry
