Thank you, Miss Tina! I've had the same cookbook (I believe, the same) for years. You've encouraged me to pull these ingredients together and can this. Yours look amazing!!! ♡ Thank you ever so much for sharing!
I've been following you for years and I believe this is the first time I've ever commented. I appreciate you, and all the work you put in your videos. Much love from Texas, USA. ♡

Hi there... would like to try this recipe & glad you posted this video! Wondering if rather than ham you or anyone has or would consider using chopped hot dogs instead..? I know sounds corny but I'm a bit of a rebel canner & thought it might be fun..

Hello. I would stay with ham or bacon even. I’ve canned beans and hot dogs before and it was not good! They got a odd texture to them and they took on the taste of the beans. It’s on my, I will never can again list.

Both would work. It just depends on how you wish to freeze them.

Hi Tina, the camera angle on this is fine, nothing wrong with it at all in fact I like the over head view when you are cooking and then the side view when you are putting the beans into the jars.... This recipe looks amazing and am definitely going to be trying this.... 🤗

Looking forward to hearing how the kids liked the beans. I've made the Ball recipe before and didn't care for them. If you like this one well I'll give it a try. The fact that the sauce was yummy even before canning is a big plus. Thank you, Tina!

So how did the kids like them? I have been looking for a good baked bean recipe for a long time. I am asked to bring baked beans to almost every time I need to bring a food item. But I’m still looking for a recipe that I love not just setting with😉. I do love the Amish Canning book!

I always use navy beans for beans like this. Clean simple taste.

Those beans look so very good. How do you store your empty jars, lids and rings ?

    • @wholesome.heartfelt

      Jars in boxes
Lids stay in the boxes until I use them. I toss them once they are used.
Rings I store in a big bags.

You could have let your beans soak at least 24 hours and not have to cook them. Everything else was on spot. Oh put your beans, plain, in jar then fill to the bottom of rim with your liquid.
