What you really need is: - Your basic airsoft gear - inner layers matching the environment (heat/cold/humidity) of where the milsim is - Rain cover if forecast predicts rain/snow etc - extra socks - footwear that matches your environment - a beanie (or similar) if cold - water and a few snacks (food too, if not supplied) - potentially basic medkit if milsim is in a very remote place or lasts multiple days - sleeping bag and mat (if milsim does not offer accommodation) that's about it.
Turns out I have most of this kit. Apart from the radios and airsoft pew pews (and spare cammies) I have it all. Nice to know I could do a proper milsim game in the future.
Hey Trashy. I really enjoy your videos and find the info you provide very useful. You definitely deserve more subscribers! A suggestion for a future video: I know it might seem super basic to you but being a total milsim beginner myself, I sometimes find videos describing softshells, hardshells, sharkskins, ponchos, smocks, bivvies, thermal gear, layered gear etc confusing as I don't know what is used and in what combo for each specific weather/temperature situation. I've educated myself to what I feel is a decent level of knowledge now, but a video describing how these individual pieces of clothing are used/layered/needed/worn together would be helpful for newer players who don't have any milsim or outdoors experience. Again mate, love your videos. Keep up the good shit.
Cool video. I stopped skirmishing in 2010 when I got sick of idiots cheating or just not working as a team, with everyone been a loan wolf sniper with a pink gun. lol. Milsim could tempt me back I've still got a ton of gear and guns and looks like it would fit what i enjoyed the he most about airsoft. Team work and variety of tasks, forcing you to think on your feet.
gaiters? poncho? shemagh? eye pro? grenades smoke flash? yay dpm would you recommend boot studs for extra traction. you know, the ones you buy for walking in snow that attach to the sole of the boot. my boots slip on fallen wet trees etc. Also what gloves are good for climbing moving sharp thorn bushes out the way.
Great stuff. As you said I believe that keeping your feet dry and your head covered - no matter if you play in a wet and cold or dry and hot weather - is mandatory. BTW How much does all of the gear weight?
Mean while I had to grab a remains of a 80s US Rig that actually saw action from Grenada and a bunch of those non military small packs were you store food water and other stuff and strap it on the rig's belt area. Which on planning to use in the future. Edit: It was free lol
I personally prefer to always take my helmet, even if it just hangs on my rucksack. I kind of want to protect my noggin so I don't lose my brain on the field.
I think I'll get an all black Typhoon outfit for night ops, and maybe order a Ghillie from Sprinter Custom Ghillies. Thanks for the advice, I am excited to get into this shit! subbed :D
Hey I noticed the sniper rifle you have in the gun case which one is it it looks like the Well mb04 but do you use a Ghillie suit when you go to milsim because I'm not sure if it would be useful there, this is my first op and just wanted to know Thank you and you just earned yourself a new subscriber
Where in Britain are you from? Also, no helmet? Finally, would you recommend an expat from USA moving to the UK? Lol, I know random but just wondering.
I have a house in the us and Australia but if I live in Los Angeles how would I get to an American milsim if it's in a different part of the us but without me driving and going on a plane and bring airsoft gear and guns
When I watch this kind of fancy video I think of so many tactics to use, however I feel hesitation to play milsim cuz I get pressured by others indirectly on my horrible gear... Guess I should go for Ghillie I I get paid.
good video bro the only problem i have is some fields dont like battlefield smoke grenades but when i go to milsims they allow it can you please tell me why.
if your in cold weather you want summer boots, if you are walking or running and rucking all day what happens, your feet build up moisture in your boots, summer boots filter that out, thats why theryre summer boots, but winter boots dont, so guess what, if its cold enough your feet will sweat then they'll freeze, my DS taught me that, just a tip
Hey I subscribed ages ago like a year ago maybe or so. this has really helped me with my events that I'm gonna go to would a p90 2 tone with a scope and night vision scope for night be good for mils I'm as I havnt gone to a milsim befor and need to know thanks for the help ☺
Maybe I havnt really tried it with a M4 but I will try it some time I can't find that many milsim events in the UK eather can you recommend any? Thanks for the help I enjoy your videos alot keep up the good work ☺
@@harveybritland3112 What case was it? and since you asked so long ago did you end up getting one? How did you like it? Have you tried any other sizes that you preferred better?
I would love some NVG's but they are super freaking expensive the cheapest decent ones I have found are like $600+ but most are $1200+ when my whole kit costs less than 3k together. Edit: This is the longest I have ever used a video mainly because I do not currently have a loudout but I have a list of everything I am going to get for my loadout and my primary is taking me for freaking ever to figure out what I want to get, mainly because I despise 90% of AEG's I really want a GBB but it is hard to find a decently priced one.
Rifle choice question here I use a PTS Masada GBBR I run 10 mags with it. Using nuprol 4.0 gas with a built in npas. Thinking to HPA tap my mags with Russian CQB valves so I don’t have to use green gas and do away with any risk of cool down effect problems. On the down side I can see my self having to bring a small scuba tank for refills or a second hpa tank for back up. On the up side I won’t need to bring a back up rifle as I have two MASADA’S so all I’ll need to bring is a spare barrel or two. bolt carrier assembly and maybe a lower receiver just incase my trigger box goes for what ever reason. Has anyone noticed any problems running hpa guns on a milsim ?. Should I just use green gas any feed back plz.
At milsims are there certain gear requirements (eg: helmet, certain camo, single style even if your being a light scout you still need to wear the same as someone with an aeg)?
Randomtrashey I new to airsoft I am getting all my gear for Christmas but I don't have extra multicam is that ok and should I bring a backpack to carry things I have a aeg I was just wonder thanks
This is probably going to sound like a stupid question, but do you have to take all of that with you on the field or is there a place that you put it during ops
If you're going to go to milsim then this should be your ABC, l can only add, socks, lots of clean, dry socks, a large tent if needed and maybe a poncho. Other than that plenty of high carb food, tuna, sweetcorn, chocolate them fucking cereal bar things. Great vid...
Nice, i wasn't trying to be a dick. Just giving my feedback. I'll subscribe so i can check out the new intro. Videos are awesome though. Maybe think about getting a better camera. Once again not trying to be a dick.

Check with your field/event runners. In the U.S. its usually 16 but it depends. Some are 18, some are any age
You shouldn't be advising on kit if you think losing heat from your head is a lie 😂
