Now that you have started posting these clips I have now started doing a lot more than just listening to it! Thank you for the video. I especially appreciate you not having the "beeps" on for the demonstration. Just a heads up. The Database does not have everything in an area. It will have Police and Fire and EMS, but not more local frequencies like a small store or agency that bought Handy Talkies and are using them to conduct business.Most people buy scanners to listen to Police and Fire and EMS but I prefer to listen to my Condo security and mall security and stores in my area.
Just ordered my SDS 100 a couple of days ago and Zip Scanner said it will be as long as June 15th before I get mine. I guess they as selling really fast. So when I get mine I will go over your videos again and get it going. The part about turning on/off the services or links was fantastic. Hell don't stop your videos are by far the best I have seen, keep up the good work. Thanks SO MUCH!!

Right I bought my whistler trx-1 from them and the first day I got it arrived non functioning, they said no refunds or exchanges, send it to whistler🤬🖕🏽Know nothing scamming thieves.
Great video. Just one suggestion. If you are focusing on a brand new user, don't assume they know how to turn on and off the service types. Something as simple as that can throw a new user off pretty quick. Other than that I learned a lot from this video. Thanks.

Just purchased the sds 100 . So far been very impressed however i still believe it was easier just entering the frequencies of just what you want to monitor. My question is, i followed these instructions to the letter but when i gave the new favorites list a quick key and selected it, it still loaded everything within three counties. Even forestry services etc. how do you just narrow down to just what you want to hear locally? The purpose of this video was to achieve just that so im thinking there is a step somewhere that got missed. Thanks and great videos

Hi, I am seriously considering a SDS 100 but I am visually impaired and I am wondering what do you mean by backing out of a menu? It’s hard to see on the screen. Do they have good directions for this scanner? I really want to purchase one because I am in a simulcast area, but I want to be able to use the scanner without having to use Sentinel software as much as possible or as little as possible
Very informative video I’m new to the scanner world so I got off to a bad start I purchased a new WS1040 because the reviews were great and I didn’t want to buy a cheap one but once I got it home I found out that I need a Phase 2 for my area not a phase one so anyway I’m picking up the SDS100 this week so I’m just trying to educate myself before I get it.My question is can I just put my zip code in right out of the box and program it or do I need to do install something? I saw another video that said you need to update the firmware and upload the most recent national database if so how do I do that?
Hi sorry for the delay and hopefully you seen my new video that shows me reset and reprogram right from my truck. The SDS100 lets you program easily with your zip code or auto location detect. Its already got the Radio Reference database built into it, so its ready for the whole USA and Canada out of the box. You'll love it if you hate normal programming headaches. Thanks for the great content. I have a "specialized" question that I hope you may lend some help with. I'm taking a long, round trip on Amtrak. From Chicago to Emeryville (San Francisco), then to Seattle, then returning back to Chicago. Instead of creating ZIP code favorites which I would have to manually switch in and out, is it practical to let the GPS select the favorites within range? I do have a GPS "Puck" that the SDS100 Scanner works with. I don't know how to create "Local" lists that the GPS may select when I'm within range (say 30-mile radius). I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I think we are a long ways from total encryption and this is the best of the best in digital so I would say yes 100%. I also found a good airband antenna for it too so it’s perfect all around for my uses. I mainly listen to DMR and p25.

The Federal Government and Police Department in PUERTO RICO (US TERRITORY) has block their frequencies so we the different media are blind in the past we here their frequencies y we move and cover the situation for our different new paper or t.v. estacion, how can these tool help me resolve these problem

How do I manually search for a frequency on the SDS100? I’m specifically looking for FRS & GMRS frequencies!

how do u stop it from scanning all the city's and just to stay on 1 city?
As more and more agencies turn to encryption because of online broadcasting of transmissions, would you still recommend this scanner today?
