Thanks for the video. I learned that I could edit the favorite list (FL) by right clicking on it and not have to go to the Edit Menu, Pick Edit FL, and then pick the FL from the list provided. Your way is easier and more direct. I create a lot of my FL from scratch because some of what I listen to is not on the Data Base. I like to listen to radios used in small stores and Malls and Colleges and hospitals and buildings Public Safety, just to name a few. I use Close Call or Search to capture the frequencies and then add them to the FLs. Thanks again.
Good walkthrough. I also think a video like this covering the 'Profiles' function of Sentinel would be extremely helpful. That function doesn't seem to work like many people feel it does or should. A detailed walkthrough of what different Profiles affect and don't affect would be great.

Is it still necessary to load updated data base/firmware from computer to scanner with scanner in Mass Storage mode and connected to Windows computer prior to any programing of new or updated favorites list? By turning on scanner after loading to scanner after then turning scanner to Mass Storage? 73 THX
I really appreciate this video, I bought my SDS100 a couple of weeks ago and had been scared to death to touch any of the keys! This video explained everything perfectly. I was able to create a favorite list in no time at all. The Sentinel software really makes it easy. I currently am using the 8GB sd card that came with it, is there any reason to replace it with a higher capacity SD card? Thanks again!
What is the point of selecting the service types? For instance, if you fail to check Railroad service type but have created a railroad favorite list will it not scan? Why not select all their service types and be done with it?
I love the Sentinel software, but let’s talk about that selector knob on the 536hp😮 After getting it fixed it started again 8 months later. I like the newest desktop from Uniden, but now I’m afraid to buy it because they knew the 536 had problems but did nothing about it.
Is the Sentinel software free to download to your laptop? I paid for the radio reference subscription, but I don’t know how to use it looking for a little Info thanks.

Very blurry focus. I've noticed the blur and the choppy audio on your channel. Audio trails off and sounds very digital. I thank you for doing these videos though.
Very good how-to. Too many of them are not as clear as yours. One mistake I saw you makes was when you manually entered a frequency in your favorites list. You left the modulation type as "auto". You NEVER want to do that or the scanner will try each type of modulation for that channel which greatly slows down scanning speed.
Couldn’t you just leave sd card in computer and write to sd card then remove sd card from computer and insert in scanner that way you wouldn’t have to connect computer to scanner.

Can you toggle the full data base on or off from the scanner itself after programming favorites lists?
I followed the steps but when I unplug the scanner and it boots it says "scan mode, nothing to scan".

Hello, I have a 436hp, and I deleted the memory card by mistake, and my radio is not showing up on my computer. What should I do to recover the data?

@@MrTommy001 I've since figured it out. First...you need the favorite list open in the radio, then you can use the quick key.
The new 160 and the 260 do not work with this software and uniden said not to look for it anytime soon. So sad.

So I run an older desktop. I run windows 10. I downloaded the software but when I connect the 436HP the program doesn’t see it? Any suggestions?
