The MIGHTY Microcarpa and the Fukien Clump - Try Bonsai

In today's video, I repotted and root pruned my Mighty Ficus Microcarpa, and my newly acquired Fukien Tea clump style planting. I've done work to this microcarpa off camera developing it as a mame broom style bonsai, and today I potted it into its first official bonsai pot. Then I potted a Fukien tea planting that naturally grew as a clump-style planting. As mentioned in the video this was part of a much bigger forest planting Errol ‪@bonsai_sikko‬ and I dug out from our friend Evelyn's yard.

Very nice root work on this MM. Dr. Banner in surgery. In your care, the ficus will survive. Nice choice of the blue pot. Reminds me of a tree on an island surrounded by water.

nice mighty tree! once you get the potato roots growing you can notch or carve it like nigel did to that one ficus ginseng he has. i did it to one of mine. it works well
