Everyones saying Flames fans must be pissed. Couldn’t be farther from truth, i’d say most are cheering them on. For us Canadians we’ll support any Canadian team when it comes to the finals. Flames > Alberta > Canada > anywhere else. It doesn’t happen very often
Edmonton had more scoring chances than actual shots . They missed the net a lot , hit a post , had shots blocked. But so did the stars. The 10 shots weren’t impressive but it was a little misleading.

A Beauty she was, We would have never score this against Vancouver and Doubt we will score this against the Panthers. Dallas's lack of body contact aloowed this absolute beauty.
1983 Islanders taught Oilers what was needed to win a cup. Semenko scored more goals than Gretzky that series. Billy Smith was prime and won the Conn Smyth trophy for it. As much as I am rooting for Edmonton, this feels like Panthers' year.

coffey and knoblauch did a hell of a job this year. whether they win or lose, they turned one of the worst teams in the nhl into cup contenders mid-season. that’s ridiculous.
I feel like I'm the only one who knew that the oilers would somewhow reach the playoffs even when they were doing horrible in the early season. I've been watching the oilers for nearly two decades, and there were so many times where they start off strong in the early season and then end up near the bottom in the late season. But since in this season the oilers had a horrible start, I somehow kept thinking that they might actually have a strong finish, and now here they are in finals.
I don’t think this call of the game does it justice. The Oilers decided to play defence for 40 minutes after going up 2-0. They let Dallas have their blue line for that entire time and still won the game. That is a very difficult way to win and it was not their only option. Their coach just decided to give it a go. After all, they outshot Dallas 26 to 20 winning game 5 by a 3-1 score. They were more than capable of playing a different game, but why not try out playing 40 minutes of defence. They were capable of pulling it off, given the best playoff PK record in the league. If it didn’t work out, there was still game 7. I don’t think Dallas outplayed them. The Oilers played the game their coach asked of them and they won. Cheeky? Very, but victory goes to the bold. The Oilers gained a heaping helping of confidence pulling this off. I was very impressed.
Sometimes a goalie comes along and steals a game. As an oilers fan I never thought skinner would be doing what he did last game.... 971 % 34 saves.... it was a game of just a few players having a really special game and those players happened to be on edmonton that night
From a goalie perspective that goal wasnt even sloppy. I think people overestimate just how quickly you can move from your knees in a spot like that. It was a bad bounce and he did all he could do which was dodge the bank in attempt.
Even from the replay it is kinda hard to see what happened. Basically you just see McDavid coming closer and then the puck is teleported behind the qoalie.
It was a nail biter for sure watching them protect a lead. Going into the third it was clear they were being outworked and looked like the Stars had them where they wanted them. Skinner stepped up and was helped by a bit of puck luck. Thought for sure it was going to OT.
as a flames fan, this is the worst time to be one. everything went to shit after the 2022 win against dallas. oilers playing in the scf, chucky being panthers's franchise player, (although i love him and benny and cheer for them anyway), huberdeau sucking, markstrom having a revival season when we should have tanked, all 3 conditional picks from this year's trades being negated. we are a laughing stock of the league rn it is insane. started cheering for them in 2021, signed up for a huge pile of shit gotta say...
I started cheering for Edmonton in 2021, at least we can share the tender memory of that playoff series between the two. I really wish Oilers/Flames could do the dance every playoffs, it is so nutty when it happens.
@@ryanbaldwin4849 Exactly, this is how I try to cheer up Flames fans: remember, Treliving is the Leafs problem now. (And considering that 3 finalists for Dubas replacements were Treliving, Bergevin, and Chiarelli...lol)
Edmonton needs to set the tone in game 1. If they play soft, if they only play 1 period and coast for 2 as they did in 6 of their loses and in last nights win, they will be done in 4. They need Carrick, Kane and Perry hammering Bennett and Mathew very hard. We await the game 1 lineup.
turtlechuck makes me hate him ... the first time in the nhl in my 50 years i want to see someone with their teeth knocked out or carried off on a stretcher ... thats how negative he is
The stars definitely did not have the universes blessing, I think if they had an easier schedule of teams to beat they may have won but the oilers played well too. And by that I mean their three good players. That team is just 3 guys in a trench coat
As much as I want Edmonton to win, based on how I've seen the NHL "work" shit out in the past, I don't see the cup crossing the border this year. In the NHLs mind, it's almost a certainty that they believe, beyond any doubt, that the US is STILL the "best" market for them to be in. While my opinion is a "bit" one-sided being a Canadian, I feel like Betman will never see Canada as a "worthy" market to peddle his league in any more. Almost anticipating ANOTHER southern US expansion franchise to "pop up" during the off season.
Oilers should buy Zack Kassian a ticket right behind the Florida bench and get him to wear a turtle costume for Tkachuk.

He's gonna win it and retire. How many guys win a cup in their first and last seasons?
I was pulling for the Rangers, love Z and the bread man!! I think most Oiler fans were as well. Florida won't get sand in Lord Stanley's Cup!!
Kings? Dethroned.
Canucks? Beached.
Stars? Fallen.
SCF Ticket? Punched.
La Bamba? Fuckin play it baby.
FRICK YEAH 💯 💯 🔥 🔥
i remember the oilers fans dogpiling on the canucks for their low shot totals - sometimes it happens and you still get the W
If you win, you can brush it off, if you lose, you might have something to work on.
Going to be a great series I'm excited, it's a win win for hockey fans one team can get its first ring another can finally being the cup back to Canada since I think 1990
myohmy 😱😱 the space Connor created on that goal... Maneuvered his way inside the dots, Toe drag, through two defenders, pulling the puck, forehand to his backhand, up stairs.
.. thanks for coming Dallas Stars 😅
Dude I've listened to your Star Wars content for years, now hearing u talk about the Oilers is blowing my mind 😃
Let's go Oilers this is the most exciting season in a long time
Everyones saying Flames fans must be pissed. Couldn’t be farther from truth, i’d say most are cheering them on. For us Canadians we’ll support any Canadian team when it comes to the finals. Flames > Alberta > Canada > anywhere else. It doesn’t happen very often
Why’d u have to bring up the flames thing 😢
Edmonton had more scoring chances than actual shots . They missed the net a lot , hit a post , had shots blocked. But so did the stars. The 10 shots weren’t impressive but it was a little misleading.
That Mcdavid goal was so filthy
I am German.
I love Canada.
I am a Leafs fan.
I cheer for the Oilers for weeks now! They deserve to end the season with hardware. I'd love to see Leon get a cup, but I want Connor, Zach and Cody to shove it to my Leafs as they suck for 8 years with the kiddie club....
But fuck the Leafs. Other topic!
GOOILERSGO!!!
McDavid is going to be on another level this series and Barkov is going to have to match him
30 shots to 8 is crazy and being down 2😭😭😭
A Beauty she was, We would have never score this against Vancouver and Doubt we will score this against the Panthers.
Don't you get it? The Oilers can't play D! Everyone here told me so! :) Oilers in 7, it will be a great series.
As an Oilers fan who didn't think they'd make it past Dallas... I say anything can happen
I can't imagine Benny getting away with a sucker punch on McMagic. Ironic these are the two teams I was rooting for when the Conference Finals began. I'm leaning a bit to the Oilers side only bc they're a Canadian franchise and there are 23 Canadians on the roster. Go Team Canada!
Corry Perry is back in the final should have known once he got picked up
Let's win the Cup for Canada!
Great season boys see u in the fall😢🫡
Shaq Hyman with the snipe, what a gem
Florida carrying America while Edmonton carries Canada, as a Cats fan this is going to be a true fight; North vs. South 🐀🐆😎🏝️☀️
If the Panthers can’t stay out of the box, this could get ugly in a hurry. The Oilers special teams are insane.
I'm just nervous that they might go out of their way to 'make em count' - their penalties that is
On the flip-side, the Oilers might be able to take an extra penalty or 2 each game if they feel like flexing the pk.
Oil in 6!
Certainly hope so. But, Im thinking Panthers in 6
No way.
Florida will beat Edmonton to pieces, Cats in 5/6
@@frederickglass1583people having been saying Vancouver or stars in 5. We welcome being doubted
@@frederickglass15836 maybe. 5 is pretty unlikely, by the numbers, unless there's a big goaltending mismatch. The data says the Oilers are almost as good as the Panthers defensively, and quite a bit better offensively. It's going to be very close.
@@frederickglass1583how do ya figure? Neither team has faced the type of team they will be facing next, in these playoffs. Sure Florida will give em a go but if u wanna break it down, I'd be glad to help ya understand why
Now we wait and see how long it takes for Skinner to turn back into a pumpkin.
This comment has me ROLLING😂
coffey and knoblauch did a hell of a job this year. whether they win or lose, they turned one of the worst teams in the nhl into cup contenders mid-season. that’s ridiculous.
0:38 - nobody seems to notice that he’s backhanding the puck out of the air.
McDavid is about to play out of his mind to win this cup
As a stars fan, I'm still not over this. If ever there was someone who deserved to win a cup, it's Pavs. Now it looks like it won't happen.
Rangers not in the finals while “McGoon” is in the finals is just poetic.
I thought Dallas played way better. But that first goal was just unbelievable. Let’s hope they take cup home.
Sometimes a goalie comes along and steals a game. As an oilers fan I never thought skinner would be doing what he did last game.... 971 % 34 saves.... it was a game of just a few players having a really special game and those players happened to be on edmonton that night
Wow a Canadian team in the finals
From a goalie perspective that goal wasnt even sloppy. I think people overestimate just how quickly you can move from your knees in a spot like that. It was a bad bounce and he did all he could do which was dodge the bank in attempt.
Even from the replay it is kinda hard to see what happened. Basically you just see McDavid coming closer and then the puck is teleported behind the qoalie.
Its McDavids year for sure!
Макдэвид суперзвезда привет из Казахстана
I think panthers will win it but I wouldnt mind endmonton winning ether. Like the star players of both teams
I don't think I've ever been so cut up about a player who doesn't play for my team not winning as I was for Pavelski. This one hurts.
Crazy that so many people still consider Matthews to be a better player than McDavid
I think Edmonton's going to take this series, but its going to be physical and hard-fought all game every game.
My head thinks Panthers in 6 but my hearts desire is to hear La Bamba in game 7 !
Oh Canada … Go Oilers !!
It was a nail biter for sure watching them protect a lead. Going into the third it was clear they were being outworked and looked like the Stars had them where they wanted them. Skinner stepped up and was helped by a bit of puck luck. Thought for sure it was going to OT.
"squeaky bum time" apt description lmao
Connor McDavid is like the Michaela Cava of the NHL
God I love my Oilers!!
as a flames fan, this is the worst time to be one. everything went to shit after the 2022 win against dallas. oilers playing in the scf, chucky being panthers's franchise player, (although i love him and benny and cheer for them anyway), huberdeau sucking, markstrom having a revival season when we should have tanked, all 3 conditional picks from this year's trades being negated. we are a laughing stock of the league rn it is insane. started cheering for them in 2021, signed up for a huge pile of shit gotta say...
Cheer for the Oilers. Edmonton and Calgary at like sister cities.
I started cheering for Edmonton in 2021, at least we can share the tender memory of that playoff series between the two. I really wish Oilers/Flames could do the dance every playoffs, it is so nutty when it happens.
Don’t sweat it. You will experience sweet sweet schadenfreude now that treliving is the GM of Toronto
@@ryanbaldwin4849 Exactly, this is how I try to cheer up Flames fans: remember, Treliving is the Leafs problem now. (And considering that 3 finalists for Dubas replacements were Treliving, Bergevin, and Chiarelli...lol)
Sid grabbed it and got three Connor. This might bite you as Florida gonna be a great series (I hope).
Phantom tripping call on that first PP
lol, thats the definition of tripping
Edmonton needs to set the tone in game 1. If they play soft, if they only play 1 period and coast for 2 as they did in 6 of their loses and in last nights win, they will be done in 4. They need Carrick, Kane and Perry hammering Bennett and Mathew very hard. We await the game 1 lineup.
Mr. ´big-knob’ 😂
A Flames fans worst nightmare has already happened in 2022, this might beat that though
As a Flames I will now be cheering for the Oilers because Oilers are the only Canadian team left and I hate Tkachuk
turtlechuck makes me hate him ... the first time in the nhl in my 50 years i want to see someone with their teeth knocked out or carried off on a stretcher ... thats how negative he is
The biggest goal of McDavid’s life so far
Let's get a cup for a Canadian team PLEASE!!!
LETS GO OILERS 🎉🎉
The stars definitely did not have the universes blessing, I think if they had an easier schedule of teams to beat they may have won but the oilers played well too. And by that I mean their three good players. That team is just 3 guys in a trench coat
Awesome
As much as I want Edmonton to win, based on how I've seen the NHL "work" shit out in the past, I don't see the cup crossing the border this year. In the NHLs mind, it's almost a certainty that they believe, beyond any doubt, that the US is STILL the "best" market for them to be in. While my opinion is a "bit" one-sided being a Canadian, I feel like Betman will never see Canada as a "worthy" market to peddle his league in any more. Almost anticipating ANOTHER southern US expansion franchise to "pop up" during the off season.
Flames fans rn: “What, the actual fuck.”
It's sad to know that Joe is gonna end his career with 201 playoff games and not a single cup alongside 2 playoff series, which is an NHL record
