Thanks for the video man! I’m a service tech so I rarely use it and normally I forget how to use it. So I learned a lot with this video. I have the same one and I love it!
Awesome man, glad to hear the cps bender works good for you. I’ve had mine for a little over 6 months and use it almost everyday, it has yet to disappoint me.👍
Sorry for not responding sooner, there isn’t a mark on the bender, but down below I provided a new video showing how i bend my copper effectively using the cps bender How to bend copper using center method ua-cam.com/video/anaaenmJFqw/v-deo.html
I see they don’t put the index marks on the mandrel for bend to center take out, neither does Hilmor. Yellow Jacket puts the reference marks on theirs. With out the marking it I’d difficult to make accurate center to center bends. Beware.
True but with a little practice its super easy to figure it out. I have used the cps and Hilmor bender to do multiple bends in same piece of copper, and lined up perfectly for my application. Also the newer yellow jacket bender is now available with the aluminum colored mandrels as well not sure if they incorporated the index marks. Thanks for commenting 👍
Both hilmor and cps work good, my go to bend has been the hilmor since its quicker to set up with the snap on features vs the wing nut on the cps. The cps does show you when you reach your 90 degree bend though. I don’t think one is better than the other they are both very solidly built, I haven’t had any issues with the cps or hilmor bender.
I was working with this boy that still lived with his momma so he was always buying cool shit like this. Well he quit an wanted to go back to warehouse work, I just got mine for 120 from him an it’s only been used like 3 or 4 times. Fucking love mine!! All I use is this an my swaging tool also!
good explanation but I'll give you a question, this tool allows you to perform doubles with precision of 45 and 180 degrees respectively ..? or only allows 90 degree doubles.
I bought the same tubing bender however it kind of slips on me when I’m bending. Idk if if there is something wrong with the ratchet can you let me know if I’m doing something wrong?
When I first used mine it would slip a few times as well but i continued using it and it eventually stopped slipping. I would say use it everyday for a week if it still keeps slipping return it, and get a new one. I use mine daily with no issues, but you probably jus got a bad one unfortunately it happens.
Awesome man, yea when I first started I thought the same as u, so i bought me a Hilmor bender without the reverse bending attachment. I was super happen but then within the first week of doing installs i realized that by not having the reverse bending attachment i had limited myself from being able to perform more complicated bends such as making a (U-bend), also helpful when bending around a corner, as well as bending ur copper from first to second floor on a 2 story. The better u are at using a bender the less u need to braze, which also means fewer potential leak points. 👍
No problem, the link for the bender is down below its usually priced around $180-$200 www.amazon.com/CPS-BTB300-Premium-Ratcheting-Reverse/dp/B06Y2L19ND/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=32AB5XG0FJADF&keywords=cps+blackmax&qid=1654738850&sprefix=cps+%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-3
Just got mine. You have to be hulk to ratchet 3/4 and 7/8 with one hand. My first bender, but i think this thing is a piece of crap! Cumbersome and to clunky mechanism. Wish i had my money back
Yea I usually use the bender with one hand till i get about half way then i use 2 hands, also make sure its soft copper for a/c. I usually test any tool i buy for a week, if it doesn’t meet my expectations I return it for a refund, i think most places give u up to 90 day to return it.

No problem man, glad to hear this video was helpful for you 👍
I love this tool, I use it all the time!
Bought mine about a year ago. Love it with the inverse bend add on ad well
Awesome man, glad to hear the cps bender works good for you. I’ve had mine for a little over 6 months and use it almost everyday, it has yet to disappoint me.👍
Is there a mark to line up the bender to a mark on the pipe where I would want it to bend.?
Sorry for not responding sooner, there isn’t a mark on the bender, but down below I provided a new video showing how i bend my copper effectively using the cps bender

Thanks for the review. just bought mine from amazon as well $165.
No problem man, and that’s awesome 👍

Mark up a piece of copper and do a couple practice bends. Shits easy.
I agree reference marks would be nice, the manufacturer should have done the practice runs and marked their tool
Just bought this hope the quality as good as it seems
I’m looking into a set to purchase. What your take on Hilmor? Are they better or?
Both hilmor and cps work good, my go to bend has been the hilmor since its quicker to set up with the snap on features vs the wing nut on the cps. The cps does show you when you reach your 90 degree bend though. I don’t think one is better than the other they are both very solidly built, I haven’t had any issues with the cps or hilmor bender.
My only concern with this is how far you have to reach to bend the copper, im looking at this or the hilmor curently
I thought you're supposed to lube it to prevent wrinkles in the bend? Didn't see you use any though? Do you not?
Yes you can lube it for better bending results, I didn’t lube it in this video. Yes I do use lube when I am working but not during demonstrations. 👍

Harbour Freight has the exact bender set under Doyle brand for $129. If you have 25% non exclusion coupon then it will be under $100.
That’s exactly what I did today, same tool!
I’d rather spend the 240$ and have somethin that lasts forever
that's their bs marketing campaign at work, it's not the same tool, not the same quality. their bender leaves pronounced ripples.
good explanation but I'll give you a question, this tool allows you to perform doubles with precision of 45 and 180 degrees respectively ..? or only allows 90 degree doubles.
Thank you for the video, I didn't see the silver one for bending 1/4! Is that included as well?
Yea the 1/4” bending mandrel is included in this set. 👍
Great video! Were you using soft copper (coil) or hard copper tubes (the tubes for plumbing)?
Thanks
Thank you👍 and I was using soft copper.
Wow, I really Like this bender
Excellent video !!! Looks like it works pretty good !!! Thanks !
Yes it works great, and your welcome 👍

@@AZSolutions92 thank you for your reply!!
I'm new to this field. looking to get this tube bender...but what is the reverse bend for? a bend is a bend right?
Awesome man, yea when I first started I thought the same as u, so i bought me a Hilmor bender without the reverse bending attachment. NEVER buy one that doesn't have the reverse bend attachment. You'll be wasting money because YOU WILL need the reverse part!!
Will this do hard drawn copper
You have to heat up and anneal the copper first to bend hard drawn copper.
How mech price
Thanks for this video. Could you tell me the price of that tool? Please
No problem, the link for the bender is down below its usually priced around $180-$200

Lol, thanks for noticing 👍
