I saw this tour at a stop in Tinley Park Illinois. Red Rain was the first song played. There was a torrential downpour happening during the song. It was raining and blowing so hard that I got wet in the middle of the covered seats of the venue. Just as the song finished so did the rain. Peter Gabriel is an English musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer who rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the progressive rock band Genesis. Born on February 13, 1950, in Surrey, England, Gabriel embarked on a successful solo career after leaving Genesis in 1975. Gabriel's solo work is known for its innovative and eclectic style, combining elements of rock, pop, world music, and art rock. His music often incorporates complex arrangements, thought-provoking lyrics, and a diverse range of instruments and sounds. Gabriel is renowned for his distinctive and emotive vocals, as well as his theatrical stage performances.
Ged Lynch absolutely thrashed the drums on this tour, giving a much harder feel than other Gabriel live performances. Not that I'll be complaining when Manu is back in the seat this summer!

Tony Levin playing bass and keyboard, Rachel keeping some extra bass notes down, Melanie as a younger 1972 copy of Peter, and the rest of the band with full devotion.
