For me, Neil Young and Bryan Ferry are the best entertainer and composer who has been transforming reality into poetry for decades. The music is able to make me happy and free me from bad feelings. He is authentic and has the formula that touches people with his music and makes the H2O atoms in the body vibrate. In 1976, our father left us when we were 9, 11 and 13 years old. Cancer. Our mother had to work nights to give us a “nice” childhood. When we were alone at home, we often listened to music like Neil Young's "Harvest Moon." Songs like “Heart of Gold” gave us hope and confidence. Today, 50 years later, people have definitely lost their way - climate change, Ukraine etc. 4 days ago I heard Neil Young's live concert in Chicago, 1992 | for the first time PBS Center Stage on UA-cam by "depleis" where he plays "Like a Hurricane" on the harmonium. We had no money for musical instruments, but we did have an old harmonium from our grandmother that we played a lot as children. This new video touches me very much because I define “Like a Hurricane” as one of the most beautiful songs and pieces of music in cultural history. When I'm feeling well, I listen to and watch Bryan Ferry's "Nuits de Fourviere Live in Lyon - Like a Hurricane HD" by "dp" on UA-cam - absolutely great, radiates happiness and makes you happy. When I'm sad or angry about what humans are doing to our planet, I listen to and watch "Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Like A Hurricane - Live 1986" by "billyidol68" on UA-cam. It helps me extremely well to detach myself from these thoughts. The energy of this 2 persons makes me completely unhinged with the video from Chicago 1992 and with the Video from Bryan Ferry. Thank you, Neil Young and Bryan Ferry with band. With your music you are one of the greatest gifts in my life.
I'm a huge Neil Young fan and this is a fantastic cover of his classic. Have been playing it non stop in my car for 3 days now !! A great group of musicians and vocalists.
I've noticed with current videos of concerts in many parts of Europe that he looks very serious. That he has lost that.....animation, looseness, that beautiful smiling face on stage that subtle flirtyness he use to have. Yes, he's older now but.........gosh, that presentation of youthfulness seems to have gone. His orchestration and stage presence has become very sophisticated and polished now, it blows me away. He is professional in every way. I love the guy. One day they'll all be gone...........and so will we. So thank you Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music for everything past and present.
Listened to this again after 12 months, my god, to be a member of this band must be such an enjoyable experience. Every me,berngiving 200% and looking as though nthey are enjoying themselves

What a production. I am 73 and have heard his song many times. I have never heard Bryan Ferry's version. His production is sensational. The band and singers are very tight; however I would like to highlight a few. The lead guitar players are both very good, the singers are excellent, and the lady sax player is great. I have seen this video a number of times and will continue to watch it many more.
The "eternal" Bryan Ferry!! Such a sweet voice, nice lyrics, good tunes... I tell you what: when the time for Bryan comes to leave us alone on Earth, we'll lose a giant. The world will not be quite the same without him. For decades, he has brought us some good music and a certain definition of pure class. So let's enjoy his very presence right up until that fateful moment!
100 percent true. If you binge watch the evolution of Bryan Ferry, he has always been different than the rest. So authentic in his music and such the gentleman. I hate death but we're all going to die sometime. The legacy Bryan leaves will influence the future vocalist and musicians for along time. I love evey minute. I would love to hear Bryan in a small venue. What a delight. Until then. I wil listen On the radio or search him out on UA-cam and listen.
What a great version of this song. I must confess I didn't expect much as it's Neil Young's song and who's going to compete with him right? Well Bryan Ferry is without the gimmicks of smoke machines, fake explosions and nightclub lights along with a superb backing band of 2 lead guitars, a bassist, 2 keyboard players, a pianist, 2 drummers, 4 terrific backing singers and a knockout saxophonist. The saxophonist/keyboard player really steals the show, she's a wow, I mean that is cooking. I ordered the DVD pronto and when I put it on the big sterio it was me that was blown away.

I've always loved Bryan and saw Roxy in the 70s but came to this late. He's like a football coach or conductor who recruits the best soloists, and brings on the young, Oliver and Jorja. He's been doing this cover since the 80s and is still going strong. He ages like a fine wine. The epitome of cool. A working class boy from the north east who became a country squire and James Bond. A legend. Genuine music lovers never retire.

Emocionante, mucha energía transmiten!
Brian ferry he's great
100 percent true.
@@paulabaker8403 Same here. In the meantime, let's enjoy his presence with us and, most importantly, his music and class.
Beaucoup, beaucoup d'émotion se dégage de cette magnifique interprétation, une véritable révérence au génie de Neil Young.
Bryan's still a genius decades later...(pretty hard to admit coming from a Yank) and what a great band, they are all super!!
What a band of fantastic musicians the sax player off another planet wow
the sax alto and the lead guitar are the best on stage
True! Absolute amazing performance! Replay every evening and can not apart...like drug...

I agree did you notice the smile on Brian’s face
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it's done!
We saw Bryan Ferry sing this in Edinburgh Castle esplanade a few years back it was great
Love Neil Hubbard's guitar solo at the end - soulful, magnificent!
Fantastic guitarist wow you don’t get a lot better than that 😊
Think this was one of his best shows over a long period and probably his best band.
I've treasured his music for so may years and tonight see him at the LA Forum with St. Vincent opening. It'll be a fantastic rock show!
Remember seeing Roxy on the Avalon tour doing this in 1982 , I actually cried with emotion, that’s the power of music, brilliant musician ship👍
I love you brother and i'm not gay 😀
Bryan Ferry and the late Robert Palmer - two of the classiest gentlemen in rock music.

@@michellerjackson5776 Well, you are in luck! Robert Palmer is (sadly) no longer with us, but Bryan Ferry is and still tours! Keep checking his web site.

Class from the heart. He was raised in very humble beginnings.
every single band member and the singers give a flawless performance...and Bryan gives every one a chance to shine....

At 2:58, the look on Jorja's face, like, 'yeah, we got this'. Love her talented heart.
absolutely professional...
Fantastic! Bryan is wonderful, we have attended his concert in St. Petersburg, it is still warm in my soul !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfect. Impossible to do better or even the same. Just seeing this song live is more than enough to justify the ticket. This version will go down in the annals of music history.
Yes Best Sax and Guitar solos I have heard for years.
Marvellous, long live to them all...
Sept. 26 and 28 in San Fran and LA.
the perfect complete performance
I've always loved Bryan and saw Roxy in the 70s but came to this late.
He's like a football coach or conductor who recruits the best soloists, and brings on the young, Oliver and Jorja. He's been doing this cover since the 80s and is still going strong. He ages like a fine wine. The epitome of cool. A working class boy from the north east who became a country squire and James Bond. A legend. Genuine music lovers never retire.
100% in agreement in all you have put in words.
@@josephpower4136 Thanks. You send out your thoughts and hope they mean something to somebody. The internet can be, but is not always, wonderful.
Of all his live sets, Lyon is my favorite by a mile. Everything is just right, and Oliver Thompson is on fire throughout.
Excellent. Great band put together by Ferry.
Talented in every way.
Nobody does covers better than Bryan. And what a guitarist. Wow.
and Jorja Chalmers on Sax
Bloody hell, what an eye for talent and a genius for musical chemistry.
i Think so
It's Oliver not Christopher and it is Tara Ferry Bryan's son on drums
sorry, my fault, its Oliver of corse
Сейчас такой музыки нет,это шедевр❤❤❤Браво!Браво!Браво!Это жизнь,глаток чистого воздуха❤❤❤❤❤
Bryan is one of the most underated musicians in the UK. A showman a true performer.!!
