Excellent review! A lot of reviewers make no mention of the back straps that are included with some guns, but you started right out by giving all the necessary info on the back straps. In my own opinion, all of the GX4 pistols have a great CCW trigger, short take-up with a short travel clean crisp 5 - 5.5 pound break. Keep the videos coming! New sub.

I want I want. If I hadn't just got a Hellcat Pro a few months ago I would've got this and have been perfectly happy with it from all the reviews I'm seeing.
Looks like what Glock should’ve done with their g43x/g48. The bump on the front of the grip is nice - my gx4 an obviously didn’t have one from the factory, but the Hogue grip I added made all the difference with grip for me. As for aiming your pistol, I’ve found that front sight focus (I know, a lot of shooters mention this, but not clearly explaining) and firm pressure with off hand keeps rounds on target for me. From what I saw in this video, you know and practice this. Your wife might benefit from slightly altering her grip with off hand and hooking her index finger on the flat front face of the trigger guard. I’ve found it helps me mitigate muzzle flip, and with practice I’ve improved speed and accuracy. Overall, great review.
Initially I was going to get the Taurus GX4 but having the G3C and the G3 I Iove the way the G3 feels in my hand. So I am looking at getting the GX4 Carry (TORO) because of the longer grip like the G3. Great review. Thanks much.
Great format and production! Plus, really good shooting for a new person to the conceal carry/defensive shooting game! Glad you wife made those comments. I wonder if she rented a GX4 (regular or XL version)? That is why I have the original GX4, as it feels great while holding in hand, carrying on myself and shooting. I do wish Taurus made a 380 acp or 30 super carry version of any of its GX4 series though.
Great video young man and young lady!! I bought a used like new gx4 to conceal carry it's a sweet little gun at 69 im not a steady as i once was but it'll get the job done. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun
I have said this on another video about this gun,but if Taurus does a slide comp version of this that would be awesome and be less than half of the 365 slide comp X-macro.I’ll definitely be looking into a smith doing the work, think that would be cool.
So you mean make the slide longer for the integrated comp or u mean comp the current length because than you’ll need to port the barrel too to get the real benefit.
You may not believe this but I can show you the txt I sent my stepdad to ask him about my Sig P320 not being reliable. Keeps doing different dumb stuff. I love it tho. I shoot it well when it lets me. But I just used my PDP Compact and Hellcat Pro for the rest of our range day today. Wow, can't believe you made this video today. Awesome f'n timing bro. 💪🏾
She initially got the p365-380 and then a few months later, she got the Ruger Security .380…she loves the Ruger..easier to rack, softer shot and more accurate but she doesn’t like that it’s bigger.
Dimensions near identical to Hellcat Pro I bought same day I also bought an original GX4. Was later surprised the smaller GX4 shot slightly more accurately in rapid fire. I'm thinking due to superior trigger, more defined sights, and a more swept back grip angle (much more like Glocks I've been used to shooting for years. )
I am thinking about picking one up.. i always stayed away from Taurus but last year i bought a tx22 and ended up loving it.. so reliable im blown away for a rimmed cartridge too.. i carry as a xtra sometimes if the situation calls
Yeah I’ve always heard how bad Taurus was but all my research and stories lead back to change at the highest level in 2019 I think when they started the G series pistols and it’s been great reviews since then. I fully expect them to jump into the 500/600 price range for their next series
The finish hold up for you at all? Have heard a couple say that theirs is good, but it seems like the vast majority of people that carry them say they wear really bad really fast. I usually recommend that people consider the cost of Cerakote as part of the guns cost when they buy one, because they'll probably end up refinishing it in a couple months anyways when the gun looks really beat up from just a couple months of casual carry (not with any abuse of hard training or anything like that either). I wish the Graphene Cerakote could be purchased, so people could refinish their own guns with it. I'm not certain that it's as durable as they claim... but both Cerakote and Graphene are extremely tough materials. (I just hope it don't sparkle or shimmer like some of the pictures online. In videos I've seen it looks good/normal though, so I think it looks good and it's a nice dark gray color).
It’s held up ok but I don’t carry it. But yeah they finished if worn daily or moved a lot will scuff. So a decent cerokote will be needed IF…you care about them staying clean. Everybody’s different
Thanks for showing the difference in back straps definitely helpful seeing the difference. I agree the mag should’ve been completely rounded out instead of notched.
