In this video, I forge a human skull motif from 3/4"x 3/4" mild steel. This style of sculptural forge work utilizes a few different chisels and punches to "push" the steel into the desired shape. It is often useful to think of the steel as a piece of clay that you are squeezing into shape. Instead of using your fingers, you are using hammers and punches.

Come back next week when Robb integrates this skull into a chalice of sorts.
You should make work shirts with a little piece of your work on the front pocket or on the bottom of the T-shirt I would definitely buy something with Vikings and skulls even hoodies with a little piece of metal pin on it beanies and hats
How long did it take?
Very nice! I think I will give this a go some day!
Let us know how it turns out!
@@ThakIronworks I will!
g % he said he thinks
I would enjoy watching that!
Really nice. I enjoyed watching it come together.
Zer gut.
Great video, that is one of the best versions of a forged skull I have seen
Many thanks!
Yes! This should go viral everyone loves blacksmithed skulls!
Haha, appreciate the enthusiasm!
You know what I hate about Thak aside from his sick dope ass shop or the fact that he probably has a hot looking wife. His whole " Hey look at me make some sick ass cool shit, effortlessly that are highly prized and sought after and on a bad day fetch more money than you make all week! " attitude of his. That's why I hate Thak, Call it envy or call it jealously it doesn't justify Thaks attitude or the fact that he worked hard for many years as I sat on my ass smoking pot watching UA-cam doesn't excuse his behavior. But I'm going to be the better man and not let personal issues cloud my judgement like some people here! I'm even going to like this video as I like all his other show off video's that Thak likes to rub in my face.
This is sick man! Thanks so much for showing the ends of the chisels you utilize. That’s paramount. Subbing now.
Watching this again and wishing I could give more thumbs up.
hellos sir, could you forge one of the skyrim priests masks? thanks for teach us,and share his knowledge.
That would actually be pretty awesome. We will consider it.
Hey....has anyone ever told you that You're pretty good 👍😊

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Skull look awesome. Details on his face look real. You got so pretty chisels👍 looking for next where you are going to use it I will make a good key chain or a bottle opener

Dude, you actually bear a pretty strong resemblance to the Punisher.
Great tutorial!!! Tried my First skull today. Turned out pretty good, considering that this was my First skull and my 6th time on the forge and being an absolute novice!!!
Liked the way you explained the way you do things short and to the point .
Nobody wants to listen to someone ramble on about nothing lol. Glad you enjoyed.

Not sure if you've tried it, but when you finish the eyes and they're still round, have you ever tried turning it into an octopus? Especially if you put more detail in the curl for the scull
Check my cthulu video
