Torbjörn, I work at an axe/knife throwing range in Canada and we love your videos! I play your videos on the TV in the range and always see people, customers, members, employees getting sucked into watching you create these legendary projects. Thank you so much, I'll keep showing as many of your videos as possible and spreading the word!
I have watched this video many times every time I watch it I picked up some thing else that I missed before you were an absolute artist I’ve told you that several times I enjoy your work. Please keep the videos coming Wish you and your family the best in these crazy times And may God bless you and yours Theron
So I was in the forge reproducing the project and my daughter came in. She started to help me. We stopped and just made a simple hook. We had big fun. She has had many problems over the years, but it all melted away and we made this little hook she was do proud of. Smiting is a wonderful thing, Thanks for supporting this craft Frank
I enjoy your videos, there is something cathartic about watching you work and how there is such a rhythm to how you take raw materials and turn them into something amazing and functional. Your level of expertise is over the top.
Our snowdrops are nearly finished already. :-( Worth a SUB. No brainless music, and no tiresome introduction telling us what we are about to see. An easy 10 minute watch... 20 minutes? Another good sign, well done, keep it up. Perfect YT stuff.
I really like how all of the components of this were forged, including the staples. I'm in the process of opening a shop in Tennessee in the next year that provides custom carpentry, blacksmithing, and other custom products. Everyone makes knives and I've never had an interest in that path in blacksmithing. I prefer more useful products. I really like the large variety of items you make that are useful and can be used as a starting point for offerings. It's also refreshing to watch a smith instead of listening. Your hammer work says volumes more than a running commentary ever could.
Your videos (and workmanship) are fantastic! I could sit for hours watching you work and produce these works of art (and I am...). It's so satisfying to watch a true craftsman at work. Great stuff, keep them coming!!
To go from 'concept' to 'execution' takes care and planning. You videos are rather 'deceitful' in that the 'idea' is rather clear, but your skill in production is sometimes 'hidden' from the viewer. This is rather wonderful skill and craftsmanship on demonstration here, and I love every minute of it. Wonderful you.
100% quality as usual. The Pine Tar looks nice. When I saw the paintbrush touching up where the old latch had been I thought to myself...Then I spit tea all over myself when you had painted the whole door. If you're going to do something, do it right. You do this well.
Somehow your video's are so tranquil. Whenever my mind is racing I look at one of your video's and come back to earth and relax. It is so nice to see the whole process, from idea to completion. I could watch for hours and enjoy every bit of it!
Hello, Thank You very much for Your work, every video is fascinating, it is impossible to break away. I am a car mechanic (coachman), and the forge attracts - as art. It's incredible how a masterpiece appears from a piece of metal. Subscribed to Your channel. All blessings. Hello from Ukraine.
I served my apprenticeship as a blacksmith ,long since retired ,only simple when you know what your doing.👍totally enjoyed it. first thing you do in make all your own tools.
that is just brilliant from concept to execution, nicely done! This its a lost art we ought to get more people reacquainted with, in this UA-cam and people like you sharing your craft with the world truly serve a greater purpose. Thank you!
The thing that always most impresses me about good blacksmiths is they always make their own tools. Whether is a jig or something permanent, it’s always satisfying see you tackle a problem using your own tools.
I have been following you now for quite a while. Impressive projects are the norm. Watching the genius flow from your mind into your work is always a treat. Excellent bit of crafting sir.

You are really exceptional, your mastery of the hammer is magnificent. When I was young, I met an equally talented blacksmith, and he left me an unforgettable memory of his art. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment Mr. ° Ahman
Fantastic work! Thanks for the great extend you take for making this so enjoyable. The learning process goes along! And the plus is that there is no anoying music. Much apreciated.
Ваше видео это бальзам для души! Впечатление от видео как будто посмотрел целый фильм, результат вашей творческой работы заслуживает уважения! В общем так держать! Успехов, здоровья Вам и вашим близким!!!
Sweet! I will have to make one of these for our barn door! Been wanting to do that for over a year and didn't have the right idea! Yours is a great idea and it is not only functional but, nice looking, too! Thanks! I really enjoy your videos!
Blacksmithing has always been a fascination to me and unfortunately I don't have the equipment or the skill to be even a smith's apprentice. One thing is for certain, you sure make it look easy and I really enjoy your craftiness and your videos! Please keep the great videos coming and all the best to you.
I just love your craftsmanship. You make such unique things and even more unique videos. Thank you for posting. I hope this spring brings you and your family happiness.
If there be a Picasso or Rembrandt of forging metals, it must be you. You take ordinary metal and convert them into works of art. Moreover, the very process of watching you work on the metals is an experience in itself. Greetings from India!
found one in the river mud, sometime from 1750 to 1850, 11 3/4 inch long. now rust removed and wax. now, with your video, ii now know what it is. Thanks
Nice to know you like a challenge...You did so much hammer work had to speed it up hahaha...You curled that horn like a champ & the hasp/latch turned out well...You are blessed my friend...God Bless
Minor safety note to all you watching - be careful hitting the face of a ball peen hammer (or any hammer, for that matter). Use a softer hammer to hit it if you can, something like a brass mallet. Hitting hardened steel with hardened steel can send shards flying with great speed and seriously injure you. Great video as always, your work is gorgeous and I hope to one day forge such beautiful pieces.
@@torbjornahman , Daniel Moss is one of the kuulest dudes for sure. He's one of the biggest reasons I am going to drive 1000 miles to meet him at Quadstate in September to watch his hammer classes. I loved your video. No electro-music, no narration dribble, just a man who knows how to forge. Very refreshing.

The thoroughness at the end, painting the door around the new latch, is what separates people who are merely good at something and a true craftsman
