Years ago i tied up a bunch of Skip Morris Flies called the Predator, for a fellow down your way. I just thought they would make a nice pattern for panfish and they did ! They zeroed in on it and he landed what he called nuclear Blues. Your pattern is very similar! Great job!!

used this pattern on my local Bluegills here in Louisiana and they cant resist it..
Nice! I like to tie this pattern with a straight eye hook.
You can but you just have to stop the foam short of the eye. The bent eye is perfect for a spider.
