Great fly! have to try it on some local sunfish to see how it works.
Thanks Jim for all your sharing!
Thanks Carlos,
Your doing a great job yourself.

I think I used to tie this one years ago, only the variation I did, I used the yellow body like you did in the video, but I would use a "peacock" estaz chenille material on the back, and a touch of Krystal Flash in the tail. The fun part about fly tying is that there really is no "wrong" way to make a fly, you just adjust it to what works for you. Thanks for demonstrating this one, I totally forgot how effective it was on our local bluegills, and even a bass or two fell to it's charm:-)
Jim I like your videos hope u keep making them !!!
Great simple pattern. Like a Montana nymph but better imho. Like the lead holding technique too. Always learn from you Jim, thanks! 👍😎
Thanks Poalo,
I'm glad you like it.

i love it!my prefer fly for trout ..i use foam
I make a fly almost like that cool ... don t us the legs but black hen tied behind the head and tied to lay down cool !! I have not made one in years !!
I will tie some, today. Would this work on white bass? And clothespins are good for keeping the back legs out of the way.
IT WOULD TEAR UP THE BLUEGILLS!
I was watching your video and all of sudden it quit playing video and went to the advertising.
This sucks for you tube.
This sucks when the video quits playing and the ad. I will not listen to anymore videos by you.

Another great and straight-forward recipe. I like the techniques of layering the black chenille over the yellow and tying on the legs.
Thanks good luck with them!
