The rabbit team is fixing and working on things very quick, so I have hope - even just comparing to how quick it is for me now, and looking at some of the reviews from a few weeks ago, it's so much faster. I think the whole "Why isn't this just an app?" discussion at least partially misses the point. I mean, yes, it's an APK that you can put on your phone, but it seems like they're positioning the software more as an interface than as an application in its own right. (Think of the desktop managers for Linux, for example, or how Alexa lets you have "skills" that interface with other apps.) If you look at it that way, you can see pretty clearly why it's not on a phone: A phone interface is 90% touchscreen. The Rabbit R1 is 90% voice. In a more mature form, the Rabbit R1 would have a bunch of apps it could connect to, but none of them would be on the device itself, making the interfaces those apps have unnecessary. Now, we're a long way from that, obviously, but I think that's where it's going. They just need to improve the hardware and get more apps connected, as well as fix the communication bugs between the device and the apps. The most common complaint I've seen is that the DoorDash and Uber connections don't work the way they should, which is a software problem they could fix.
I have the rabbit R1 and I love it! Its about convenience.... Alot of these people giving negative reviews dont even own one! Everyone that has played with my Rabbit R1 has been like WOW! I think its great. Its missing a few features now but lets give it some time.

Mkbhd actually said the "worst product I reviewed so far" about the Humane AI Pin. He called the Rabbit R1"barely reviewable" based on its current state - and for good measure, it's hard to argue with that. He reviewed it right around the first update, so the battery life was around 5 hours, and only later got better, the actual agents that are available (4, counting in DoorDash, Uber, Spotify and Midjourney) didn't work as advertised, heck didn't work at all most of the time. The AI assistant didn't respond with actual answers a lot of the time and even confidently gave wrong information multiple times and insisted on it when corrected by the user. There was no way of shooting pictures or recording video, no alarms or timers, no calendar, the touch screen can't be used in most situations although it's there and for a lot of things you just have to go to your PC and to Rabbit hole. To basically sum it up, I can just quote what he said "don't buy a device based on a promise of future functionality".
It's not very well-made, but it's not much worse than the first generation of the Apple Watch. Just look at the difference in how influencer channels treat the two; they are much more lenient with Apple. Thanks for your review, I just ordered one.
The fact that you can't use the touchscreen & that you have to charge it at least once in the middle of the day is the biggest deal breaker. Plus any phone that can still be updated to the current OS, even one that has no SIM card (ie, no interruptions, or the main reason ppl give for using the R1) can do literally everything already the R1 does, plus a crapload more, with vastly better battery. Get a Pixel 6 Pro or S23 FE for about $50 more, even as an extra device... 🤔🤷
@@OfficialGamesky Ok, well I've been using a Wi-Fi only Android phone for years, it's far from "useless". I guess the R1 is for all those ppl who just need a Chat GPT 'assistant' outside the Wi-Fi areas that can answer questions or play music with about 30-50% accuracy. I still call it that this kind of device won't last, unless they fix the many glaring downsides of the R1, including the very limited touchscreen & ability to navigate thru the device's screens...
Oh great, another phone plan charge. Or carry your phone so you can do the hotspot. But if I have my phone, then I don’t need this. But it might be an OK toy if you are bored and want to spend money. It’s just a little bit too early.

I love it so far
I’m sure it’s nice if you’re sponsored, but it’s way overpriced if you paying yourself. It’s just more expensive than less capable device like a phone.
I explained that I bought this. Not sponsored at all
Oh it’s only $200, though you’ll still have to carry your phone, which can do the same thing and more. In my case, I often use a digital audio player DAP so I’d have to carry three devices.
So, a music listening device that is useless on an airplane. Got it! 😂
You mean a music listening device that would rely on the same wifi your phone has to rely on when it comes to planes...yeah, you got it
Mkbhd actually said the "worst product I reviewed so far" about the Humane AI Pin. To basically sum it up, I can just quote what he said "don't buy a device based on a promise of future functionality".
i wish it was a phone
smells like paid review
Well...you're wrong
★★★★★☆ its 001 so it will get better. I believe so. G. Forever
💕👍 like ur trying to
You should watch Linus’ review on short circuit. This is unhealthy 😂
Can it connect to smart bulbs too
Not at the moment
💕
Finally A Reviewer With a 🧠...Someone that understands that a Large Language Ai needs To Learn to Be any Good 🤷🏾♂️
Coffeezilla
But those devices are useless outdoors without a sim card which would then allow for interruptions
Recommending a product which is essentially a scam destroys credibility in your capacity to review things.
You are too quick to judge and same for people on the internet, if they wanted to build a phone, they would have built it, this isn't a phone, it's a handheld assistant, though might might not be perfect but it's a start
@@dr_success theres literally evidence that its a scam. Your inability to critically think is your problem not mine.
@@amazinglyshookare you a bot? If not, don’t state statements as ‚facts‘ without providing any proof. Otherwise YOU loose all credibility.
@@toreon1978 they literally promised LAM which has been proven to not be what they originally advertised. What part of that is not understandable to you?
@@amazinglyshookThe LAM is groundbreaking and I think the industry up shake it has caused is epic. Not a scam. Where is the citation that the LAM is a bait and switch. This is a buy out war by throwing the r1 under the bus.
You just look at this guy and know he voted for trump
You're right. He looks straight and not like a pedophile.
sponsord video
Because my opinion is different? This video isn't sponsored...in fact, it cost me money. I bought it
Damn, the amount of bots in the comments on a paid review is just…wow
Can't our cell phones do the same?
Yes, but my reasoning for not wanting to use the cell phone is the distractions that come with it. It's a great music companion too
@@OfficialGameskySounds like a you problem rather than the justification for the existence of the half assed inferior garbage to even exist in the first place.
Thank you for the opinions and stuff.
It's good to hear a range of opinions from good to bad
Lmao cope
Unpopular opinion: i got paid to endorse this piece of garbage
Popular opinion: i like to comment without actually watching the video (I explained that I bought this myself, not sponsored)
This is waste of money
It's really not you're saying that because you can't afford one 😂
