Hi John it wouldn't matter the space just doesn't make enough volume for the subs to perform. Fiberglassing the storage pods with a wood top would make the most space and volume. It really makes no sense to spend this amount of money on this setup only to have a box that produces at best a average sound.
Im sure it'll work just fine... You lost a ton of air slace ny making the walls of thos "pods" an inch and a half thick lol, but hey... Good job if it works the way you want it to
The stacks were staggered so it was not a full 1.5" wide. These enclosures are very in efficient and not recommended I caution people not to use this method or try to use such big subs in this space. The customer requests were fulfilled. I no longer entertain these requests.
No you are not the only one , his dirty camera made getup walk across the room looking at that spot like ,what the hell is that on my tv, even tho I i knew it wasn’t my tv , trapeze fact that the mark followed him from one scene to the next ,I had to wipe at that mark , smh ,lol ,, also I thought this gentleman had a lot of skill , but he clearly over thought this I ran a cnc for ten years , currently I have two years of running Hass 3 axis lathe,there is so much more he could’ve done with the cnc , all because he didn’t want to get his hands dirty with fiberglass ? Wasted all that material ,,smh
The fox audio boxes use a very stiff fairly thick piece of formed plastic fir these tubs that screws to the main box . These boxes sound pretty decent and they fit fairy beefy 12s like the DC level 4 . The boxes run around $430 shipped the boxes are actually about $320 but shipping is about $100 . These come coated and the brand logo on the box like a Ram truck will say RAM on exposed portion . They come with seat spacers and you can option a couple items . My fully optioned box for 2 12s was $430 shipped . I feel if you're going to do anymore than this you may as well skip the under seat box and remove the seat and put a box there for 15s or 12s . If I get tired of my 2 12s I'll be taking the seat out and selling my the box and go 4 12s or sell box amp and subs and do 3 15s . I had 3 15w6 in my Grand Cherokee so I'm used to quite a bit more cone area than a pair of 12s provide even 4 12s has about 80 square inches less cone area than 3 15s ...So time will tell if I've gotten ...old enough... To where 2 12s will keep me happy or when I have more spare time the system gets bigger .
How is this faster than a chicken wire frame that you fiber glass over for shape? This seems a million times slower more expensive and less air volume ?? Maybe I’m just loat

Seems like the inside could be shaved or routed to make more room for a sub with larger diameter magnets.

i feel like at this point is is more cost effective, cleaner and easier to do a fiberglass box and the weight difference

It's not It was a pain to make but I don't fiberglass so I thought I'd try the wood way and it's too complicated one and done for this technique.
