Been watching Others that are ahead of you. Those signs were completely buried when they went through. They keep saying that it seems just because someone doesn't want to put in the work, they start the whole fear mongering thing and others just follow along and go around. Seems that's the norm for the pct. It was definitely a lot of work but it was passable as you saw. Plus, the experience gained is priceless! Careful on those afternoon treks. Some have had the snow let go out from under them and started sliding. Great job getting up and over! Definitely something to be proud of! Personally, I would rather see it for myself and turn back than let someone talk me out of it. Good warm up for the Sierra section for sure! I'm sure it helped build some confidence in you and your gear. Great video as always! Looking forward to the next one.
Frozen, that snow should be no problem for you. remember you’re FROZEN 🥶 🤣🤣
The AT was pretty icy
Don't let the fear mongering jags get to you. You are a Pittsburgh guy 👍
Be alert for Noro ahead of you. Mission Creek/ Big Bear area. Sanitizer showers, avoid humans.
PA fan here! We're rooting for you Frozen!!!
Fuller Ridge Crew would make an excellent band name! Keep up the great videos.
This is a pretty cool section. You go from Trees, mountains and then it drops you back into the desert.
Glad you're not taking the easy way. Valuable lesson learned, you gotta hit the snow very early in the morning. All the good hikers I've followed over the years have done that in the sierras. Sometimes starting early with head lamps and stopping early when the snow is really exhausting. The I-10 where you ended the video is called Banning pass and is ALWAYS windy, hence all the wind turbines.
"Little steps, forward progress." I like that. Keep crushing it man! Your positivity is contagious.
Jason the quality of your video is amazingly high quality!!! Keep on getting it!!!
The snow section was definitely a challenge.
Old guy here, loving your journey. You are inspiring for many folks I’m sure. Be wise be safe.
You did great through all that snow!! Keep on trucking!!
You video maker is doing an awesome job 😊👍
Yo Frozen! My wife and I watched your whole AT trip, we still say "Good morning everybody" to each other lol. I wanted to say how great you seem to be doing. You for sure seem to be in a healthy mental space and your confidence is pretty evident as well. Keep rocking on brother, we're tagging along!
The most memorable hikes are often the most difficult!
When you get to Big Bear Lake, keep a watch out for the resident bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow. They have a huge world following across the globe, via the 2 webcams.
There is nothing better than dry shoes and socks in the morning 🙂
All that snow will definitely wear you out, glad you made it safe and sound
Glad he had a crew with him. Safety in numbers. Happy trails 👣 🌻
Really nice work frozen. Great footage coming back. Please be safe brother
Some of the shots you got were amazing! The cloud moving in was the best for me. Looks like you got a little sand blasted with that wind, crazy. Be safe out there!
Excellent video! Thank you for creating these and sharing your adventure.
I don't get all the skipping this year! I have done this section three times (two of those in record snow years 2019 + 2023) and I had zero snow experience, we never even thought about skipping till the Sierra! It was hard and certainly took me out of my comfort zone but that's what thru hiking is about and the confidence and satisfaction I got from completing these hard sections was so worth it. Embrace the suck people and try it for your self.
Hey Frozen, been with ya from the beginning. Truly enjoying the videos my friend 👊THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT IN PUTTING THESE TOGETHER. I've hurt my back pretty good and can barely work right now, let alone hiking which i love, so im getting true enjoyment for these. THANKS, keep on keeping on. My family sends its love ❤.
Congrats on 200 miles and completing section B! I'm really enjoying following along on your hike. You're doing great!
You are doing fantastic Frozen. Take Care and God Bless
Doing great~! 👌
Awesome! Super happy for you and the crew! Doing some catch up on these episodes.
12 days to I-10 is buzzing right along. Good luck.
Rocked it!! love to hear that. you sure have seen a lot of rattlers wow. nice full Pal Springs experience with the windy desert that is great/ awesome days on the pct thanks for sharing
What a blessing to have your socks and shoes dried. How in the world can you sleep under a highway??? The noise! In California, they call it a freeway.
I enjoy your videos
Keep it up Frozen! Watching you from Copenhagen. I'm doing my PCT in 2028 after my kids have aged out a bit.
Your consistent positive energy & resilience is what makes your videos unique.
One step at a time.
Very good day to have company on trail, especially for us east coast folks who rarely if ever deal with conditions like that. Excited to see how you tackle the Sierras!
Love it.
Grats to you and the rest of the crew. Way to go.
Amazing adventure.
I'm glad you didn't have to sleep under that overpass by yourself!
Looks like you are in Portland! Keep up the hard work.
Dallas Stars WON! Bring on the Avalanche, baby…game 1 is tonight, Tuesday nite!!!
Way to go. You've got this.
There's so much fearmongering on the PCT. You did the right thing in going to see for yourself first. You're ready for the Sierras.
Keep it up man, best of luck to you. Cheers
Awesome brother 💪👍
Love following your journey Frozan!
Yeah I def couldn’t do the overpass thing. They freak me out. I’ll take a windy desert any day. lol. Anyways, keep having fun man.
The real Fantastic Fuller Ridge 4.
Awesome is an understatement. So is legendary!
The snow is epic and it just about looks more like Oregon instead of So Cal.
Way to go!
They need to make a compass hat or glasses that have a colored light laser beam light up in the direction of the trail or straight north or wherever you set it. I got the idea looking at your foot steps in the snow and my Apple phone compass.
When you get to the Stanislaus, stop your trip. Emmigrant lake, buck lakes, Latora lake. Omg!! I did back country trails there... Like it show you some cool stuff out there.
As an ex-local, we pronounce it as white-ly as possible: Cab-ah-zon. Spanish for "large head" (about a fish.) It's where lots of luxury outlet stores are. Also has the iconic dinosaur statues!
Your killing it , just say no to flip flop , continues journey. Happy 500 just a guess. Lol
The number of people that thru hike these trails each year nowadays is a little off-putting ngl. I've been wondering what some hikers think of it
CDT is always not busy and other two I sobo or start early to avoid the bubble.
Does the light hoodie really help keep you cool and warm?
Wow! That traffic noise from I-10 is crazy. I guess you're not really connecting with nature in that place. But the trail was beautiful before that.
never slept under a highway overpass... is it not too noisey there with night traffic
Congratulations, Roadrunner and Lil Chap also conquered Fuller Ridge, and like you decided to see for themselves rather than listen to the fear mongers.
He's going to catch them. That'll be fun!
@@chriskelly6559I dont think Fireball will be his cup of tea however!
How many miles have you gone so far? What is the temp
Is it a true through hike if you volunteeringly skip a section of trail?
Do your own hike
Fuller Ridge ain’t got nothing on Georgia
Does Georgia have 1000ft drops?
