Great view of that mola mola. You keep catching all those elusive reds. They didn't get the memo they were supposed to be on the watch list. Just like last year. You'd think they would open the season to 4-5 days and still not do any damage to the population.

I've always been fascinated with those Ocean Sunfish. Learned about them as a little shaver in Grade School. I spent 14 years in the Navy and a lot of time out at sea. Never did see one. That would be truly memorable.
This was actually my third encounter with one...they are truly amazing creatures
If you're ever stranded at sea pray one comes near you. They'll keep you afloat as long as you're stroking them. The reason they come up is to get parasites removed by remora, birds and sunlight. There are multiple stories about them saving shipwrecked sailors

Great video! Today I caught my finst snook and sheepshead in Sebastian , FL . The snook was on a live shrimp. the sheepshead and a few mangrove scanners weere caught using a “Bottom Sweeper Jig” with live sand fleas.
SNAPPERS instead of scanners, I hate auto spelll corrrect!!!!!

Very cool seeing that Sunfish, l've seen 2 in my lifetime but never that close. Bloody Red Snapper, crazy how they're so protected but in plague proportions. l'd like to know the reasoning behind the restrictions, makes no sense. l'd love to be there even tho' they all go back.
