Friday was an afternoon bite down here oit of sebastian, Saturday they bit good for us. Definitely a crazy time to be on the water, we rented a slip for the weekend to avoid ramp ragers
Been away from fishing awhile. Red snapper rule 2 days? Wonder if the people who made those rules are the ones pushing electric vehicles. Mike that big boat that went by was likely on his way back to Jupiter. I think this is where they develop and multiply. Nice kings!

Nice job on the Kings! Crazy how you can't get away from the red snapper any other day you're out there. I agree about the crowds though. I knew I wouldn't be going out there with that many yahoos around. I rarely go on the weekends...prefer during the week when there's a lot less traffic.

The amount of boats making a mad dash…… guess this is what happens when Atlantic season is so short. I mainly fish on the gulf side, it’s a much relaxed setting when going after ARS.
Mike D, I hate to say it, but that boat you pointed out at 2:43 might be a guy who has a bass boat to use in freshwater. Around here, I think the only speeds on a bass boat are trailer, trolling motor and wide open. Even on smaller lakes, they don't seem to care if you're on a pontoon, 12 ft aluminum boat, or kayak, they run past at full throttle. That's my answer to your question of, "who can tell me the reason for that....."😂

That was a pretty good haul mike, l'd be happy with those Kings, don't need 50 fish to put meat in the box. 2 Red Snapper days seems crazy to me, after the second day l bet the buggers will be coming for you. Some boaties are pretty careless how they drive near boats fishing, it happens here too, tight lines brother 🎣 🐟 🇦🇺
That boat is just fine. They were far enough away. That water is nothing compared here in the gulf off Tampa.

I only went outa Canaveral 1st day..
Took 5 spots and all morning to get 3 twenty ponders.
2nd day when I left the port I turned around. Too rough 😞
Yeah it was sloppy
It was sloppy and slow on Friday. I lucked out and got a 25” on the first drop free lining a squid with some cut grunt chum. Took me 6 hrs and two different reefs to get the next one about 17”. Only other fish caught besides the reds was a keeper vermillion. Crazy day.

Mike curious what size boat that is? I ask because I fish out of Ponce and my Montauk 190 definitely does not handle the slop as well as your boat seemed to fair. We got out of the inlet and turned right around.

Can't always get the big ones. You did get a limit tho. 2019 I believe you caught some hogs. All 3 were smaller than 1 then.

Such a load of crap 2 days i fished out of ponce inlet my uncle lives in port orange we were allowed 6 the first day and 7 the 2nd day and every fish we kept was over 20 and we had 3 over 30 so there must be a shortage of them caught our limit in less then an hour both days
Ill send you some numbers if you want them we caught our limit off them both days we caught a few small ones but we didnt keep anything under 20

Three is better than none. It's just ridiculous how boaters these days think their entitled to do whatever they want. It's half the reason I sold my last boat. Assholes at the ramp, on the water, throwing their anchor 15 feet from where I'm fishing. You know...

On day 2 I had to take the boat off spot lock and throw the engine in reverse or else I would have been hit by a boat drifting. Literally came within 3 ft because the entire boat was drift fishing and not paying attention. After we moved the guy came blasting by within 15 ft and waked us out to reset his next drift. Absolutely stupid and unnecessary but that's red snapper season.

It seems it's just like stupid drivers. I watched 3 cars turn left in front of a car that had right of way to come straight thru. People are becoming more and more selfish and don't care who it affects. Until it bites them but then it's your fault not theirs. Sorry you had to put up with that but at least you're fishing.
