    Big thanks for comparing all 3. Can't tell you how so many reviewers fail to simply state what the difference is between the models in the line. Or even explaining the different kinds of plates. Great video.
    Sounds like the Flight is built for race day. But would they do for training as well? I don't do many races/timed runs on trails. I do long runs however quite frequently every week. So I would like to keep just one pair of shoes for both training and racing as opposed to when I run on the road.

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      Thanks Tony! Glad you liked it. The Flight can for sure be for training, especially if you end up liking the fit more than the others. The Infinite has an oddly sharp heel collar so the Flight may just feel better overall. I didn't feel much of a difference in cushioning between the Flight and the Infinite and I run in the Infinite all the time so I think it's just fine.

    Very informative review, I'm opting for infinite but are they true to size? I'm using 40.5eu road and 41eu trail shoes on hokas do you recommend staying on this size for the infinite? Thanks

    How's the grip on these? Especially on the Enduris?
    PS: Got your self a new sub! Great vid!

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      Thanks! The grip on all three were surprisingly solid in my opinion. They aren't the most aggressive lugs compared to something like the Saucony Peregrine but they hold up really well and I've had no grip issues on any of them (All three have the same outsole) .
      Also, I appreciate the support! There's a chance I move more in-depth reviews like this over to my own channel at Behind the Run just so I can cover more topics but still figuring that out because I'd like to crank a lot more out.

    thank you for the review.
    Is the enduris a good choice for (fragil) ankle support?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      It's a pretty standard fit so I would compare the ankle to support to other top styles such as the Speedgoat or Peregrine. The Flight has a sock-like fit so that might feel more supportive around the ankle so we would recommend trying them on to compare.

    Hi, I’m new here, great video with the drone footage. I found you because I was looking for a review on the Vectiv. I want to get back into running. I got arthritis in my metatarsophalangeal joint (connects big toe to foot), mostly from running. I have the pain under control but my foot doesn’t flex much anymore. I’m trying to figure out which shoe is the best to help keep my foot flex down to a minimum. Can you please help?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you Jeremy! If you're looking for trail shoes with minimal flex then I think the two best options would be any of the Vectiv shoes or something like the HOKA Mafate Speed. The Mafate Speed is a pretty stiff shoe that maintains the stiffness throughout the life of the shoe, whereas some of the other HOKA models start out stiff but begin to flex more as you break them in. The Vectiv shoes are on the stiffer side because of the full length plate but the plate is so thin that there is still some flex to it. Overall, the Enduris I think would be a good balance of stiffness and cushion. The Mafate Speed would probably be your best bet in terms of stiffness though. Hope that helped a bit!

    is fit true to size? i am 10 but like snug fit, would it be ok to buy 9.5?

    Awesome review, thanks! Which one would you say has the most room in the toe box?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      Thanks! None are especially roomy but I’d go with the Enduris as the roomiest. DEFINITELY not the Flight. I think the mesh of the Enduris helps it out but the Infinite might be ok.

      @@RunWithUs thanks for the input... I really like the Altra Lone Peak 5s for easy days on the trails but they are a bit too floppy for harder trail runs where I'm doing uptempo/fartlek/hill surges etc. I'm torn between the Vectiv Enduris and either the Hoka Torrent 2 or EVO Speedgoats for faster and/or longer trail runs.

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      @@IndianaNaturalDog I can totally see what you mean on the harder efforts. The Enduris is quite a bit of shoe depending on the distance so the Torrent or Infinite seem like great options for that. It really all comes down to what distances you’re looking at because then the Enduris and Speedgoat would be great for longer efforts.

    hey thanks for the review! now a year later how did they hold up?

    • @BehindTheRun
      @BehindTheRun 2 роки тому

      Hi Teresa, personally I really enjoyed the shoes. I know that sales weren't great overall but I think that had more to do with North Face not really having their shoes priced properly compared to what the competitor styles were.

    Does the enduris wide foot accommodating, and true to size?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      It feels true to size and it really feels like an overall standard all around fit. So, I wouldn't say it's the most accommodating for wider fit and the upper on the Enduris has the most going on, whereas the other two feel a little more forgiving. Overall, I think it's a good fit but it will vary for wider feet. Something like the Timp or Olympus might work better in that category.

    does anyone use these as everyday shoes? was thinking of buying them for the winter / wet months of the year for general daily use. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

    • @BehindTheRun
      @BehindTheRun 2 роки тому +2

      Hi TL, yes they’d be completely fine as everyday shoes for wet months. Just a heads up that the outsole is really good so it makes this kind of tacky noise on some floors.

    Is infinite better than Salomon speedcross 5?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      Sorry, missed this comment! That’s a tough one to answer because I really think it comes down to preference. Salomon I always associate with firmer and amazing traction like in the Speedcross, whereas I think the Infinite is more of a balanced shoe with good cushioning and traction while not being so aggressive

  • @Kalvi

    Which are the most stable of the three?

    • @RunWithUs
      @RunWithUs  3 роки тому

      Hi Kalvi, they're all equally stable and have the same general design elements. The Enduris is the one with the largest midsole, so it's the softest of the bunch and if there was one that was maybe a little less stable it would be that one just since you're higher off the ground.
