I only cook pasta for my husband as I’m not a fan of either tomato sauce or cream sauce But I had all the ingredients in the fridge/cupboard and made it for our meal tonight We both had second helpings I loved it, not sure if I’m a complete pasta convert, but if anyone can convert me, you and your amazing recipes can! I cooked this last night but used shredded bbq chicken instead and added mushrooms 😊 it was so delicious! Everyone ate it and I have 2 containers of left overs. I will definitely be cooking this again , thank you for posting this!

The way I make it is I just put pasta the sauce the chicken and bacon in pirix dish put in over let it cook then wait half way thro I add some grated cheese mix it in then let it cook when about ready I put cheese on top let it melt and blend in and hey taste good I’ve always made it that way and everyone loves it even when down my friends house he always ask me to make it for him and his family and they all ask for more so I make extra I don’t add peppers garlic spinach or creme that u added
Love your channel. And I really would like to prepare this recipe. But I don't like double or heavy creme. Do you have a healthier alternative for double creme? Thanks in advance.
Thanks really glad you like our videos :). I wouldn't say that this recipe is the healthiest one but you could substitute in some creme fraiche instead of the double cream.

Can you suggest a substitute for the pasta? I'm trying to avoid all wheat products. Do you think I could replace it with potatoes? Have you tried it as a chicken and veg bake (broccoli, potato, beans, squash etc)?
I love these recipes but a bit iffy about how things are cooked properly on stovetop such as the onions and peppers and chicken. Imagine if the chicken was seasoned and seared first and then the onions and peppers allowed to soften till fragrant, garlic added to the mixture then; followed by tomato paste - sautéed for a tad till aromatic then the canned tomatoes added, simmered for a touch before adding the heavy cream. Wow the flavours would be mind blowing!! Imma make it like this.
I've seen various videos of a chicken pasta bake, but is there much difference if i cooked the chicken first then add the onions and garlic etc or if i add the onions and garlic then add chicken to the pan?
I just made this and found I didn't have the troughs to cook it in. Huge meal. What a mess lol. If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, halve it or get some huge pans.
You’d have to make a lot more than that for it to make leftovers after the four lads that work on our farm had seen it lol that probably counts for anything with chicken and bacon in it though 👍

It is a wonderful , very tasty family dinner....but of course, you can do a different recipe, more in keeping with your sophisticated palate...however most of us will thoroughly enjoy this...
Try adding some stock powder/cubes or salt and cook raw bacon with the chicken so the bacon flavor gets more incorporated into the dish. Also black pepper!
I even added Worstershire sauce and smoked paprika and it was unfortunately still bland. I think the recipe definitley needed more than a "pinch" of salt and pepper. But we are a curry household and this just wasn't up to par, more for those with bland palates I think! At least I'm not the only one.. ;-/

Use brown rice pasta!! Works well, just be careful to cook al dente.

Jake Taylor more than likely the juice from the cans of tomatoes. Strain them or add more cream.

Advice on pan SIZE would have been useful . However, a very good recipe.
I imagine you could have figured that out by yourself...

Salt the pasta water before cooking.
Same here....tasted very much like something was missing. Pretty bland
I've used chicken stock since the beginning and it's been quite nice imo
I paused it after 18 seconds to rush off to get a pen and paper.
