BEST Freakin Decade EVER! Gravesend Bklyn, Mini Bikes! Great Food! Smoking Hottt Babes! & Great Rock n Roll! Beam Me Up Scotty! AINT Shit Down Here NOO More!!! 😢
Coolest band ever to exist! Lou had a massive set of balls to tackle the subject matter that he did back in his glory days with VU. Also, if Moe hadn't been pregnant and unable to play drums on Loaded, this is what it would have sounded like. She kicked Billy's ass on "Sweet Jane", BIG time!!
My favorite song of all time. Lou is the king. He’s done this song with so many bands and or orchestrations. Always fun to see how he makes a simple song seem new.
So good to replay this and remind myself that Maureen Tucker, so tight on drums and underpins as all drummers do. Defintely, Cale, the Velvets were so far head of their collective times. The down change from Lous voice into , lyrics " heavenly wine and roses is so good.
What's sweet is that Reed stuck by the people who accompanied him through his rise to "super stardom" - a sign of a sweetheart honest-to-god rock n' roll man. R.I.P Lou.
Can you say thunder? Because that's what I hear. Absolutely relentless thunder. And I never want it to stop. And her style leaves plenty of room in the soundstage (I hate that word, but can't think of a better one at the moment) for vocals and guitar to be easily heard.
Love lou , love this version , lou tuckers drumming (really makes this version outstanding ) this is so simple , so catchy, so brilliant , man we miss you lou ..master of dark emotionally beautiful storys ... RIP mr lou reed ..may you R n R Animal your spiritual life away ....
Today would have been Sterl's birthday, so I had to revisit this. I'm glad they tried this reunion but, like every audience knew, it was more of nostalgia trip than what could have been a new beginning. It's wonderful that we still have the records.
I like Maureen Tucker's drumming. She suited Velvet Underground. Lou Reed appears joyful being reunited With his old group. Sad He & Sterling Morrison no longer with us.
Such a great performance and song . Totally flowing . And from 4:20 till the finish again a totally beautiful ending . And from me . Sorry for being new to this great band .
@@hoselover62 Everything about it. Listen to it, it's unusual. How she uses the floor toms instead of the high hat, for starters. Listen to those fills.
People say Squeeze isn't a Velvet Underground album because it doesn't have Lou Reed on it. I go as far as to say Loaded isn't a VU album because it doesn't have Maureen Tucker on it.
She's the best. Female drummers, probably #2, Sheila Escorado is probably #1, but Maureen Tucker is right there, not flashy, but on point and perfect 👌. I love her timing and beat. It's perfect for the song. It's great anyway, but the drumming is the star for me.
On the album, this was Sprechstimme; but here he shows that, if he felt like singing it, he could do so. A well of vocal energy, normally held in reserve.
Lou Reed NYC and one of the best rock songs of all time, Sweet Jane. I've been told that I sound like Lou Reed 🎸 I regret not knowing him, we'd make a great, Sweet Jane and Renae jam together 😁🎸 Ladies and Gentleman, the Velvet Underground & the Great Chain 🎸
Given the dynamics of a "rock and roll"band in New York City, drift in and out, jamm is on, thinking Lou took commercial potential charge somewhere along that line , interchange and promoted Velvet Underground.to Velvet Aboveground.. Regardless , good stuff. and still listening and absorbing.
saw m in milan, last tour ever. reed in london several times. whT can i say, man was a genius. drugs do not forgive, regardless of how clean u are. i should now, 20 yrs clean and waiting axe to fall anytime. ❤😂
This riff is so simple, yet so beautiful to play. What a song man. Love playing this, transmutes me to the 70s.
Omg! 2 cool 😎..🎸🎶

The most underrated and influential band this world saw! Forever The Velvet Underground!!!
They are the best band in history!
the best american band in the history ......in my opinion
How can you say they are underrated? If anything they are praised at the level of deity
Coolest band ever to exist! Lou had a massive set of balls to tackle the subject matter that he did back in his glory days with VU. Also, if Moe hadn't been pregnant and unable to play drums on Loaded, this is what it would have sounded like. She kicked Billy's ass on "Sweet Jane", BIG time!!
by whom are they underated? Not by me. Don't worry about other people's taste.
Maureen is so outstanding and adds so much to this rendition. So glad l came across this on UA-cam.
This version is so much better than the studio one in Loaded, just because of Mau.
Mo changes it for the better. makes it loaded for single. she wishes she played on Ocean as well.
My favorite song of all time. Lou is the king. He’s done this song with so many bands and or orchestrations. Always fun to see how he makes a simple song seem new.
One of my all-time favorite songs-thanks Lou for all wonderful memories!

Maureen Ann "Moe" Tucker Drum goddess! So Cool so in tune with the sound! So underated!

One of the best songs ever written. It's all there.
Words can't describe this. The velvet underground are and will be forever.
ルー・リードはやっぱり心の師匠。
wow that smile lou shows at the end me teared up. i love you lou and i miss you
R.I.P. LOU !!!.
We´ll neever forget you !!. You made us so happy wth your music.
Salute Janis Joplin from us !!
Best American bands....Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Ramones........the Beach Boys, etc!!!! Lou was a huge fan!!!!
A great era. Loved the Ramones.
this is an excellent live version of a timeless classic
This is like a happy eulogy for a time that will never return
Definitely the pure version , the best !! Rytm riff guitar and drums , unique 💜

i love maureen's drum set-up. very unique.
Yep, quite unique and fantastic timing.
awesome, she hits her bass drum with the sticks? whats she doing with her feet?
i just realised, shes stood up!
She’s effing awesome

For me beatles and velvet underground are the best bands of all time.
The drumming!!! ❤❤❤
Lou, at the end of the song, shows his best in an smile. I will miss a lot

Welsh boy John Cale on bass, don’t get any better than this. He was awesome in the Underground.
John Cleese on lead guitar is killing it 😉
Such a great performance and song . Totally flowing . And from 4:20 till the finish again a totally beautiful ending . And from me . Sorry for being new to this great band .
It’s not important when you become a Velvets fan, as long as you become one! People will be discovering their records for many decades to come.
@@leamanc After you discover their music, you will never be the same. That is just a fact!
One very interesting version of a classic hit from them, the best for ever
one of my preferred versions of this well known Reed's song. The best part is at the end with an smiling Lou looking to the camera.
2025? The undisputed greatest band in world that added feedback & distortion to rock's vocabulary.
Lou!
Bought your first, bought your last.
R.I.P. Bro, we miss ya.
Rock on in Heaven, brother, you have good company.

Always
Fear street 78 ?

Mo was and is still the perfect drummer for the V.U. As evidenced by this
So little use of the cymbals; and when she does hit one, it's a statement.

Everybody loves Sweet Jane.
Cause we all have a Sweet Jane somewhere in our lives.
Phuc 😮
I saw him in Mannheim at Rosegarden....a long time ago...!
Sencillamente sublime!
This is likely the only rock & roll band created in large part by a great visual artist.
