- Hey guys here’s my first impression after going fishing with my new pelican Catch mode 110 and my first impression are good 👍 mostly lol 😂 I will include a link to the rubber feet for the seat to Amazon or Home Depot 🤙

Not trying to be rude but I have the same kayak and I have a 2.5 hoarse mortar for it but regardless they gave a extended handle you can buy for the trolling motor lol
I purchased a 4 pack of rubber chair tips from Ace Hardware for under three dollars, the size you recommended, and they fit perfectly with no sliding around. Thanks so much for that!

Cant you just flip the seat to the raised position and sit sideways to get to the motor?
Finally, Pelican little did inventions something better than 110 hdrii for the seat and removed the paddle drive. It gives more room to stand and plenty of spaces…I am still pissed off about mine 110…….it’s gave me nothing but headaches and tiredness after a fishing trip. Why is took them longest time to comes up with some decent models instead headache 🤕😡

Use a heat gun to get those rubber stoppers on the seat feet. Just heat them up for 5-10 seconds and they will stretch on real easy
You do know that you can buy an extended control handle for a few bucks that will extend the handle so you can easily reach. That's what I did and have mine mounted to the back, I just sit on the booster when using it.
Then how do you pull up the motor in shallow water or wen you get to Shore??
@@patdud1979 I got a rope tied to the release lever, pull the rope to unlock them use the extended handle to push down to raise the motor.

Hey! How about paddling with Mode 110 against the current? Have you tried it? Since its fairly wide I suppose its rather hard to paddle against the current?
Not that great since it's made to be more stable. But for a kayak made for fishing you don't want to spend all your energy on paddling!!

Just purchased recently, relatively new to kayaking and a moderate fisher, this is a fantastic kayak for the price and I can occasionally fit my 90lbs dog in the front comfortably, would love to put a little motor on as dogs aren't great at helping paddle
Look at my diy motor mount gen 2 if you want to put a motor on it and I would go with a lithium battery from Amazon for the battery the weight saving make a big difference for balance.

the motor shouldnt go below 15 inches below the boat if i were to rig anything it would be a steering system on the side like those 3000.00 Kayaks. that makes it nice and neat and not in the way . there are you tube videos on how to shorten the shaft on the motor. but great Ideas you have the side mounts ive seen on Canoes

Catch pwr 100 is the solution, 360 swivel seat makes it much more comfortable for a trolling moter in the rear

I just ordered the catch classic for 500 and they accident gave me the catch mode 110
@@urmom69610 awesome! Good catch. I ended up ordering the 110 for the full price, but it's worth it. Went with Amazon for the free shipping. That Aerosport shop has some great sales, though they only last a few hours. I saw a couple of 2000 dollar kayaks on there for 50% off, and while I was debating the 3 hour each way drive the sale ended.
