He died of COVID the month i was fighting for my own life of the same thing, i won the fight but he didnt, i was devastated as this man was the most humble man ever. RIP
You feel every word. you can hear every word.. Meatloaf was great. At 14.. I had a 17yr old bf.. I didn't actually listen to the words of this song because this was our song.. Oh hell no.. It was just like #1 at the time and we would skate to it.. I was so young and didn't actually listen to it.. not that it matters.. he was a blip.. and thankfully I never gave it up till I got married.. Which was rare even back in 1987
Thanks for your reaction! Yes, all of the lyrics to Meatloaf's songs were composed and written by his best friend that you see playing the piano here, Jim Steinman. The combination of Jim Steinman's songwriting and the way Meatloaf could sing, tell a story and make you feel a song will never be matched. Jim Steinman is one of the best but unappreciated and unrecognized song writers of the 1970's and 1980's as he wrote all of the songs for Meatloaf ('Bat Out Of Hell' is one of the best selling albums of all time) and wrote all of the songs for the band, 'Air Supply' as well. He wrote many power ballads for other artists in the 80's and made them into stars with huge hits they received all the recognition for. Sadly, both of them have passed away. I would recommend checking out "Hot Summer Night/Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth" (original live video) to see more of Jim Steinman as he has a rare cameo appearance in the beginning of that video.
I was a teenager too young to go to the bar that Meatloaf used to perform at.. The Stone Balloon in Newark, DE.. I so wish I had seen him in concert.. he gave everything into it...
You should UA-cam "Meatloaf sings the National Anthem." He sang it before an All Star game in the early 90s. After watching him on what used to be MTV with great live performances, this one was the best.
I knew you would like this! He had so many different styles or genres to him. You Took the Words Right Out of my Mouth is another one that you need to check out by him when you get to him again. Thanks for all your reactions!
Jim Steinman (piano) wrote all of the songs on this album. Unfortunately, we lost both of them within a few of months of each other.😭😭😇😇 I still have this album on vinyl. "Yes, I know you're lookin' for a ruby in a mountain of rocks, but there ain't no Coupe deVille hiding at the bottom of a crackerjack box".
We used to road trip to the loaf and bad company 10 from six me and my best friend took road trips totally unprepared . But we wore those cassettes out.
Enjoy watching these songs touch your soul. ML considered himself an actor who could sing, and said each song is sung by a different character. Title song from Bat Out of Hell is my personal fav, with Two Out of Three a Close second. This song has been ripping my heart out since 1977…it matters not how many times i listen to it…
Bat Out of Hell is next, followed by More Than You Deserve, followed by Los Angeloser, followed by I'm Gonna Love Her for Both of Us. Official videos for all, and you'll have a good idea of the wide range of styles he did. Then do his version of It's All Coming Back to Me Now. I'll watch and like it all!
BOOH is my fav. Love your other suggestions… More Than You Deserve showcases his acting skills too, and is delightfully twisty a la Steinman. I’m Gonna Live her us also a fav…a Steinman-silly premise but ML really sells it!!
Hi. You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth was the next single from this amazing Meatloaf album 👍

Love Hot Summer Night!
Great reaction, you definitely need to check out ‘For Crying Out Loud’ it’s a beautiful love song and one of his best vocals
You got to check out "For Crying Out Loud"

Just a piano and ML. Nothing else needed!
Love her for both of us

Objects in the Rearview Mirror and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now are terrific a little older Meatloaf songs to do. The official videos are awesome!
Life is a lemon and i want my money back is a great Meatloaf song😂
So delightfully dystopian! Suggest 1993 Orlando video. Man his backup singers and band were just so talented!
See the guy playing piano? That's Jim Steinman. He wrote this song -- and every song on the album.

@@IRHRRetired songs like I'm Gonna Love Her tell me that if he had looked like Elvis, he would have been as big as Elvis.
You have to do For Crying Out Loud. No video but it's magnificent . Also dive into the Bee Gees, you wont be sorry.
A vocal tour de force!!
There is a video of a live performance somewhere on youtube, search for "For Crying Out Loud" live and it should pop up.
@@johnpearson2316The album version is the best one.
HURT PEOPLE 💔
HURT PEOPLE 💔
"Meatloaf" basically had ONE good album .... and ... that was it
That is not true.
