This song is so beautiful.. It's like hearing leaves blow in the wind in the first day of spring as look into the sun thinking how beautiful she is right before a cut my wrists.. So pretty.

Jim Steinman (piano) wrote all of the songs on this album. Unfortunately, we lost both of them within a few of months of each other.😭😭😇😇
I still have this album on vinyl.
"Yes, I know you're lookin' for a ruby in a mountain of rocks,
but there ain't no Coupe deVille hiding at the bottom of a crackerjack box".

According to a Meatloaf Interview, he was singing a talking about the same Girl. They were together years earlier. She left him because she wanted more than him. She came back Years later. He couldn't Love Her like he did before, only the Girl he was with Years earlier, before she Broke his Heart ❤️

Enjoyed seeing you feel this song. It’s been ripping my guts out for 40 years…. No one writes’em like Steinman, and the combo of MLs voice and his emotional delivery is just unmatched. Many good suggestions below. Bat Out if Hell is my fav, and Hot Summer Night is another banger…I can feel the sand and the breathlessness of it all. Official videos a must for the full ML treatment.

Good reaction. You noticed all the little things that make him such a great performer. This is one of the world's perfect songs. Other mind-blowing performances include Bat Out of Hell. You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth, Dead Ringer for Love (with Cher!), Peel Out, Surf's Up, More Than You Deserve, Read 'Em and Weep, I'll Kill You if You Don't Come Back, I'm Gonna Love Her for Both of Us (real Elvis vibes here) and Los Angeloser is fun.

For Crying Out Loud, from the same album. No video but it is a magnificent song. He has a lot of other great songs from other albums. My favorite non Steinman song is I Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself.

And in the end turned out to be a Trump supporter. Not sure how that happened but it was very disappointing.

Thanks for this! I haven't heard ”two out of three " in a long time. I don't remember that he had a lot of songs but they were great. Bat out of Hell should be next.
Years ago I watched a movie about his life on VH 1. His father was an alcoholic and ridiculed him about his weight. He hooked up with the woman that was his co singer and his friend who was a co writer for his music. I'm trying to remember this and my memory is not that good anymore. This is getting close to 40 years ago. Possibly Google would be a better source than me. Lots of good memories though, I haven't forgotten everything! Thanks again. 😊

The way he looks? He was one sexy good looking man. And he had a lot of charisma. In 2006 he was elected as "sexiest man alive". He used to make fun of it at his concerts. But imho they did nothing wrong with that vote. 🥰 Meat was married two times and has two wonderful daughters.

Rock opera bro... You are an intelligent dude. Automatic sub. I'm sure you love pink Floyd The Wall..and Tommy is beautiful. Many musicals are considered a rock opera, grease and phantom of the opera, rocky horror picture show.. Even heavy metal.. It's a classic cartoon movie back in the day.. Love meatloaf. Bought my dad bat out of hell 1&2 on record this week for his bday.. He's been re collecting records.
. Happy holidays, best wishes to you and your love ones

Meatloaf is a talented man but it reminds of my Moms boyfriend when I was 14 and regularly having to throw hands with a fat, drunken, hair pulling bit&h of a man…(I had long hair) he he liked Meatloaf …. Sooooo… anyways lol… keep up the good work friend ✌️👍

1st comment.... the way he looks. Back before us boomers invented and built the internet, no one gave a shit about "looks", or dance moves or visual BS. Music was pure audio. The music industry forgot that, or decided there was more money to be made dumbing down music to not much more than rhythm. Sorry kids, but rap has no soul. 100% produced and packaged junk noise. Like junk food fails to nourish the body, junk music fails to feed the soul. Never surprised by the positive reaction of kids to decent music, like Meat Loaf, Allman Brothers, Leon Russel... the list goes on in SO MANY GENRES!!!!
