It took a long time to do 1000 terror zone runs, but I found some AMAZING loot for my troubles.

What people dont realize while watching these short well editted videos, is how long this takes. The effort put in is immeasurable. I have only a few hundred terror zones under my belt so i understand!

People esp the young, never actually play d2r. All they do is watch videos and think they know it all. But that way you won't gain any skill. I've done hundreds of TZ runs and have found exactly 1 MAL. I was happy.
No amount of watching well-redacted slicky videos will give you that feeling.
I'm going out on a limb an say it took 45 hours. I'm not basing my guess on him stating that at the beginning of the video either.

Your ability to find arachnid mesh astounds me. I have an enigma and an infinity on my single player, but still no arachnid mesh. Tons of more rare unique items as well. The rng of this game is what keeps me into it.
I didn’t realize I found 3(!) of them until I was editing the video. Didn’t find a single shako during this for comparison…
I totally agree with you on D2 rng! But it can be frustrating.

I found 2 arachind mesh on the same run in wsk.I find a lot rarer uniques in wsk that's where I found my deathweb

Question, how long did you play in areas where you could find Arachnid mesh? It can take quite a while. I'm playing on and off for 6 month after I leveled my Ama to 99. Also played on and off a year before that. Got 5 Arachs so far.

Some amazing drops in here. I've only dipped my toes into terror zones and I only have one Sunder charm. It may be time to dive in and get some levels and gear. That dual leech ring is really nice. I don't think I have a highlords' even though I have a metalgrid, so that would be a nice find.
That Rune Hold ring from pindle was great. Awsome leach on both
I love your videos. D3 was my first Diablo, and after having such a great time I bought D2R, and loved it even more. Like waaaaaaay more. I got D4 on release, and I've played it a fair amount. I still enjoy D2 way more, and after consideration I think it's because D2's loot (Itemization) is literally so exciting.
D4 has superior combat, and a more modernized gameplay feel but the feeling of getting a good drop in the game doesn't hold a candle to the feeling of getting a good drop in D2. Great video man.

I totally agree with your analysis. D4 and D3 feel good and have more fun combat for sure, but the drops get totally uninteresting very fast while d2 kind of is the exact opposite!
Personally I also love D2 items having different sizes. It's just a minor detail but it makes the game so much more enjoyable for me!
if they can fix loot in d4 that game will be absolute fire tho. Season 2 already is a lot better... I hope they can fix it
D2 it’s the best of the entire franchise.

Nice video. I was excited to find a use for Arkaines Valor, the +2 is great for a Frost/Fire bowazon that doesnt have the HR for enigmas or CoH. The bright red color looks fantastic :)

i used to use an eth 2os giant skull on my hammerdin's merc back in the day. i ran with an act 1 cold merc with an ice bow, gskull with 2 15ias/15 all res jewels, and an eth CoH. i liked the knockback and crushing blow on the gskull, it was good for pushing enemies back and into the hammer's range when i telestomped packs.

I have been farming for months to find a Hoz and Zarfen just vendors his, the disrespect!
I have found 3 Jahs, 3 Griffons, 5 Lo, Deaths Web+Fathom, Mang songs, Astareons and more… but no HoZ… it is a cruel joke. I have 4 Dragonscales too..

I am currently attempting to level a Daggerzon - was not aware of this build previously (not played THAT much D2 or anything). Hit a bit of a roadblock as I am lv28 and struggling in Act 5 normal :) Not great I know. I take it the idea is to level up as a conventional build and then respect into daggerzon? Or does the niche build only work with certain items?

Man.. this has me wanting to start play again...
D2R started as a better graphics overlay with some quality of life changes but new patches have changed how things work and even added new runewords. Too much to summarize in a comment but the essence/base is still the same

Ive been farming occulus for days for my blizz soc and never found it.. stopped 3 days, i grabbed my switch and thought oh lets do a mephisto run.. first run in and dropped occulus 🤣🤣

When you make these videos, you put in the roll chances as you identify stuff (eg 1-3 skills)...do you look up the individual items and put them in as you go? Or am I missing a site/webpage that has it all listed out? TIA!
I do all of that manually when editing. That’s why I sometimes skip some of the less important rolls like enhanced defense on most armor.

Mans found a (spoiler free) right toward the end, HC chars would give their ear for it
Upgraded scalper is actually pretty damn good if its eth, also super cheap to upgrade, just a Lum + Pul. That and a lacerator lets you farm hell super comfortably.

Special thing about Arkaine's vslor is that it was one of the handful of uniques that were better pre-1.09 LoD (like Vampire Gaze). If i remember right it had % damage reduction instead of a regular value, and the +2 skills was static. V Gaze had a set dual 8/8 leech with 25% DR vs the ranges and 15-20% DR in 1.09.. the good ole days
In d2 LoD, I remember going back to earlier patches in single player to hunt for certain items. Valkyrie wing was also very different iirc

I did some players 3 runs when starting the assassin to gain levels faster, but quickly swapped back because runs took longer
I love the sense of humor in these videos.
So after doing all those Terror Zones, do you feel that they're a good addition to the game? Or do they make finding runes items too easy? I've heard people say Terrorized Andy/Meph are too good but I haven't got that far myself yet.

Yes I think they’re a great addition! I probably wouldn’t run just TZones like I did in this video though.
Andy especially feels a bit OP but since you can’t control what zone is up I don’t think it’s a problem.
Great drops! also assassins don't need keys to open locked chests, saw keys in the stash, so was just wanted to point out.

For future reference, the colossus voulge will always get 4 sockets from larzuk.

i remember last year before i stopped playing the lightning damage and -lightning enemy res was only for other skills but not for traps, does it work now?
It was fixed in a patch but tbh I didn’t test to confirm 😅

Yes, that is correct! So ethereal items are always superior on mercenaries

Last time I played the traps didnt get the bonus dmg from griffons.
Yes! They changed that in d2R in some patch. Though I haven’t tested it myself that it works 100%.. they failed to implement it for traps at first when they introduced the change 😅
would be interesting to see a run of 'killing all monsters in all areas only once' and see how the level/gearing progression goes!

I have over 10 mule characters right now in single player. I should clean some stuff out but it’s so hard to decide what to keep and what to throw away 💀

Why is -70% considered perfect on a sundered charm when it can roll to -90%? Does it lower the players resistance?

That’s right, it’s the player’s resistance that is lowered. When I first saw them I though it was enemy monsters resists too and I was like WTF is this OP charm?!
I think the concept of items with good and bad modifiers is interesting.
My friend and I where playing and I was playing my fohadin and him his sorc that dropped like a week into ladder that being the arachnids mesh eathreal and I gave to him cuz I was tanking it lasted almost long enough to get a non eathreal one lol it was pretty epic I mean it’s nice if you got a gold wrap on instead lol
Is this P1? I am always curious if these montages are P7 with increased drops. I can barely do p1 hell and i just respeced from orb to blizzard due to my lack of damage.
This was 95% players 1. I tried doing some players 3 when I switched to the assassin, mostly for experience since she was so under-leveled, but I didn’t stick with it because of the slower clear speed.
Its unfortunate you cubed the eth cv, cv's max sockets is 4, would of been perfect for socket quest.

Yo Zark you can infinite respec in single player settings on bnet screen put -enablerespec in the line and hit the stat points button and boom respec 4 EVA,
I thought -res from items didn't apply to traps, was this changed in d2r? Havn't played d2r too much, so I don't know all the changes

@@zarfen oh, and by the way, I don't remember if it was in this video or another, since I watched a bunch of them, but you said you were "still looking for an ethereal lightsabre". Phase blades can not be ethereal, so unless there's some mechanic about uniques getting ethereal I don't know about, ethereal lightsabre does not exist :)

I tried some higher player settings runs right when I started the assassin to get her some levels faster but quickly switched back because I didn’t want to lose too much speed.

Yes!
Well I haven’t tested if it ACTUALLY works tbh, but a recent patch changed so that traps benefit from it :)

Because it’s your resistances that get -(70-90), not enemy monsters.

even befor watching your video I said hell yah. i found a bow for my amazon sky strike, blood fist, 2 venom grip 1 of is etherial. and other set stuff it was only 50 run. i play 2years to get the stuff I just got from the original diablo 2. Its so much easier on resurrected. Also i just got the game all my charater are on normal

I must apologize to the Ormus. At the time I hadn’t tried the new bow sorc, but I recently made one and I love her. The Ormus will be awesome to use in the end.

I play single plyer for 6 months. I got coa (2/15/27/150 lol), nightwing’s 13, maras, soj and 6 hrs (vex vex ohm ohm lo sur) and some other but still didn’t find things that supposed to be easier to find and i need them like silkweave, thundergod’s vigor and herald of zakarum

I think it’s a great remaster. I really like the graphics, they added some cool new things (like terror zones) but it’s still Diablo 2 LoD underneath
the terror zones i always see are shit like cold plains, kurast bazaar, maggot lair etc
then ill look on discord and people on at like 4 am post the drops they get from Andy
i dont need to be the "perfectionist" here but i only run with the barbarian for find item body pops, i have found insane stuff in just 2-3 hours of running thanks to double drops
I finally have a grief after this video, so I might actually be able to make a decent barb now.

Am i missing something or is he confused when he refers to the % rolled on the -resistance of the grand charms as "perfect" when they are the lowest they could roll?
The -% resistance on sunder charms applies to you, not enemies, so the lower the roll the better :)

Arcaines valor got nerfed in 1.09 before that it was much better especially considering that the gameplay was much different back then

Hence a massive life boost

Haha 😁 I’m an Emilio fan at heart, but it wasn’t available when I was hiring and I wasn’t patient enough to reset for his name. Not a big waheed fan myself, but zahnari (I think it’s like that) is decent. Emilio uncontested #1 though for sure

Griffons doesn't work for assassin's as her turrets don't count as "her" damage it's turret damage

I’m running tz hell Andy non stop I’ve gotten all the display aura sets and a bunch of other good stuff but during one hour of play for some reason the game reset the stuff I lost was devasting. Griffins eye , a 5/5 light jewel , 20/10 necro circlet , berserker axe and more all gone
griffons +x% Lightining damage and -x% light res doesnt affect your traps tho as they are considered minions. Assains wear a griffons eye mostly because nowaways its the only way to reach 102 fcr breakpoint with a dual claw setup
