If you want survivability without kiting - rings and amulet of Replenish life; Shapeshift into werewolf 1 point (no need to attack - go for Lycanthropy) and invest in Oak Sage. You get a large jump to life and you don't have to attack anything. Also, skulls in the armor.

For the average player this is possible with a teleport item and tons of gold to recharge it. However all Ubers will be invincible to you without literally the rarest items in game.

Never made it to level 99 since i only played hardcore and my Internet had a habit of failing in critical moments, but still one of the best games ever!

Nostalgia :) -- the first Diablo fight could be so easy after knowing the mechanics and the fact that therefore 'reduce magical damage' is OP. ;) (e.g. Nagelring) The ugliest Diablo attacks can be softened even nullified. :) Because: if, for instance, a 'breath attack looking like fire but is lightning (? IIRC ?)' does - just as an example - does 200 dmg a second; this damage is split into the 'frames'. D2 was calculating with = 25 frames per second = 200 / 25 = 8 damage per frame and THEN … the 'damage reduced' items look completely different. :D (two Nagel each -3 + stealth armor = -9 summed up - and you can stand right in front and relax ;) ) Granted: i cannot remember (and havent looked up) the exact values necessary - just as a reminder. ;)

When using diamonds, they have to be inserted in the right order into the items, or else the other damage will overwrite the better, longer lasting poison damage. When i play, it becomes random, which creaturevwill get fire, cold or poison. It's better to give a hired archer fire damage diamonds, she will take out other opponents. The hero will remain with the cold damage, that often cracks the opponent, if not, then the poison will last long if the enemy is left alone. Other diamonds will not affect the cold or the poison.

Beating D2 on normal - don't really count it beating it. Nightmare, then we talk. Hell is meh in general, but nightmare is where playtime actually begins for me. I do like that you did think about teleport charges when stuck behind doors instead of going the ungabunga way most ppl do "I do have break the rule this one time"

Idk man, this challenge is just more and more vendoring / gambling in town then playing the game at a higher / more skillful level. Its more a slog town fest by the looks of it. You should do a "melee only barb" hardcore run or something that envolves more then just vendoring for RNG to have fun.

Poison creeper is a great skill. Cast it as an active skill rather than as a summon and it’s even better. A lot of people don’t understand how OP it can be if utilized properly.
