A very simple way of popping up dead bait that is removable by simply unhooking the dead bait. Easy, quick and very effective.

I have some thin foam tubing and cram that inside my dead bait and it works fantastic, coupled with elastic banding to secure the fish to my trebles
Also a great idea! I sometimes use my own balsa sticks and insert them into the mouth and down the throat 🎣
I use the plastic balls in Guinness cans... I have lotsa spares... 🙄..😂👍☘️🍺

Once you set the hooks and if the fish throws the bait, woudn't you loose the pop up rig?
You would yes but that is why I recommend you use bait floss to the the shank :)
A small square of elastic band can help keep the popper loop on the treble.. 😎👍☘️🍺
I put a bait flag on to stop the popper coming off, never lost one yet

Thank you!! It varies depends on the size of bait I use, I’ll start with a 1/0 usually and then go bigger or smaller depending on bait choice
