    I bought a Jessner peel and a TCA peel from Platinum Skincare. These are peels you can do at home. Their Jessner peel is 13% of each of the 3 ingredients. You really only had 1 layer, she only touched up certain spots on the second layer. You can do more layers of Jessner and you can also add a TCA peel on top of it. It's done in a video by Platinum Skincare. At home, you can do up to 3 layers of each peel, but not your first time; you need to build up to that. A light peel like that may as well be done at home, IMO. I just don't see the need to pay someone else to do a light peel when I can do it myself at home.

      Fully agree. With platinum it's so easy to learn how to do this at home

      Mee too. I bought them last May.
      I did my first peel ever, yesterday at home, a Jessner peel.
      Can I use Vit C about 30 mins after the procedure? and every day after the procedure?
      Can I use CERAVE Retinol Serum from tonight?
      Do you know anything about this?

      @@Gian-ni Things you aren't supposed to do after a peel are other aesthetic procedures like micro dermabrasion, micro needling- you're supposed to wait 2 weeks for things like that. You might want to stay away from things that dry your skin like retinol products since you will be peeling, retinol could add to the tightness and discomfort. The others seem okay. I recommend watching Platinum Skincare on YT- they go through the whole process including prep and aftercare.

      @@Gian-ni call them. They are super helpful. No actives at all until you are done peeling. PSC also has a Jessners video here on YT. If you don't prep correctly before the peel & don't follow their exact instructions the peels will not work

    I had 2 layers of jessner and 2/3 layers of tca peel on my treatment, which is much more effective and peels quicker than a jessner alone.

      Yes you layer it … degrease apply jessners first (how many layers are applied depends on your skin type sensitivity and skin prep ) then you apply the tca again the % and layers depend on your skin factors. I’m a licensed esthetician specializing in chemical peels

      Our neck has very thin skin( like the eyes) few bones and little muscle so as we age the underlying structure weakens and the skin on the neck starts to fall and wrinkle. A chemical peel isn’t going to miraculously give you underlying structure to your skin. On the neck you should wear SPF daily to protect the deeper layers of the skin to prevent deep wrinkles. If you already have wrinkles you can have filler injected in the lines, or extra filler just under the chin to pull it tighter or can have surgery by getting a neck lift. Prevention is better than cure: protect you skin, get plenty of sleep (7-9 hours every night) whole foods and water daily and don’t gain or lose weight quickly which can increase wrinkles as your skin doesn’t have time to adjust. Lots of exercise and weight training will keep your metabolism and circulation high, healing your skin. Genetics play a huge factor as do lifestyle factors (smoking, lack of exercise). Accept yourself and your skin and make it the best it can be, don’t expect esthetic treatments to erase time. (I am a Master Esthetician).

      @@kismet256 I have successfully used jessner's and tca on my neck. The peels have helped with the rough texture and lines. I've been doing these peels every three months since 2018.

      @@kismet256 If you only have a couple of spots on your neck, I’d use a cotton swab and just treat those areas. I also use jessners on my elbows, top of hands, and feet. Good stuff.

      To go out in public during the process…It is hard to stay home bound for 7 days. My doctor recommends using vasoline as a moisturizer which makes for a very greasy look. I’m glad to see that you used a regular moisturizer, I am also using a tinted sunscreen during the day which acts as a foundation. I am 64 years old so need all the help I can get.🙂

    I sort of peel like this too (and by that I mean not much) I got a professional peel and didn't really peel either, I'm fair skin. I truly think it's my years of Tretinoin, perhaps skin is more tolerant and thick from it? Because I think Tretinoin truly acts as a gradual peel anyway.

      tret thins the skin. you prolly didn’t peel as much because you are someone who is regularly exfoliating the dead skin due to using tret

    • @STARSAPPHIRE91
      @STARSAPPHIRE91 Рік тому +4

      No, it doesn't. Retinol doesn't thin the skin at all (it actually has the opposite effect, it builds collagen making the skin thicker), and it's not an exfoliant at all. It increases your cell turnover which is what causes the flaky skin you get when your skin is first acclimating to it.
