this is really great talk. all make so much sense. thank you!
the doctor mentioned something that sounds like 'marcus meditation', step no. 5 after breathing for the covid cure. can you tell me what meditation that was? thanks....

Imperial I feel less anxious with each of the breathing techniques. I am trying to find one that helps my sleep quality.

Roy Hightower idk much about the methods wim hof practices, other than what i have observed in his introductory set of videos and read in this piece: oxygenadvantage.com/wim-hof/
to break it down quickly, his technique begins with hyperventilation, which decreases blood CO2 until the urge to inhale isn't felt, increasing breath-hold times and causing blood O2 to plunge. this can lead to dizziness, numbness, tingling, blacking out, nausea and vomiting as the acute symptoms of low oxygen come on. in the longer-term, respiratory alkalosis from low CO2 can lead to these symptoms and more.
breathing techniques that focus on gently raising blood CO2 -- and tolerance to it -- are much more (surprisingly) tissue-oxygenating, calming and generally health-inviting. slow nasal-breathing can even prevent or lessen sleep apnea, while it invites the body into a parasympathetic state.
patrick mckeown can lead you, via his ted-talk videos, through a simple, calming "exercise" to increase your CO2 tolerance and usher you into a good state for restorative sleeping.

@@imperial6434 I have been doing the Wim Hoff breathing for two months and have had many inflammatory markers decrease. It's been quite amazing. I highly recommend reading James's Breathe book, Wim's book The Wim Hoff Method and finding a podcast interviewing Wim, it's very intriguing. I do box breathing if I wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety and it knocks it right out.

Messy sentences, vague statements and half-truths. I expect more from someone presented as "expert".
