Indy can wear disguises, lure enemies to different spots, cause distractions, move unconscious bodies etc. It sounds very promising. Hitman has one of the most complex and fun NPC systems I've ever seen.

As someone who was there, 3.000 years ago, when Last Crusade and Fate of Atlantis came out, and someone who later played Machine Games' Wolfenstein games ... I am absolutely looking forward to this! Also: Troy Bakers's Harrison Ford impression is pretty neat and a nice touch.

My first contact with Indiana Jones was about 2008, when I was 5-6 years old. 16 years later, I still love Indiana Jones as much, he is my childhood hero. Hope this game can makes me feel like the boy I once was watching the classical trilogy.
The ruins was more than happy to just let Indie take the artifact from its pedestal and let him leave. And then he had to break the artifact right in front of it. That's when the temple said "That's enough out of you!"
This looks, sounds, and feels like a Raiders or Last Crusade game SHOULD be and I don't think I've been this excited for a video game since RDR2! They have the sound effects (That classic punch sound!), the music, and Troy Baker sounding as close to Harrison Ford as I've ever heard! Lets hope the gameplay lives up to the hype!
Literally not a single popular comment has seen what they are showing us here. This is a serious throwback to immersive sims. (Will never near their complexity though) The inspiration is glaring.
I don't know if you felt this, but it also felt like a point and click adventure game evolved into an FPS adventure. I'm kinda hoping that there will be some puzzles that can be solved in multiple ways.
I love the attention to detail. they could have cheaped out on so many things. Like unlocking doors usually just pop open in 1st person games but they added the hand animations. Whip swinging kicks out to 3rd person, they could have kept it 1st person. squeezing through tight walls shows him in 3rd person when they didn't have to. You can whip people in the hands or legs which is cool. Machine games went full AAA on this one.
The whip looks way more useful that I was anticipating. At first my thoughts were, combat won't be that great but the rest of the game will. I seem to be wrong because I actually enjoyed what combat they showed. Looks very versatile with a nice range of animations. Like when he poked that guy with the bar instead of wacking him with it. There's some "stiffness" to the walking and moving around but hopefully it won't be too bad or possible improved upon. Graphics look fn amazing too. Could you imagine an RT version? RTGI, Shadows, and lighting would go even further. However what they've shown looks gorgeous as is. Can't wait to play it.
Looks a lot like Chronicles of Riddick, Escape from Butcher's Bay! Also would be pretty cool if we got a Star Wars game like this(and not made by Ubisoft!). At Indiana Jones type story based in the Star Wars Galaxy would be awesome. The Nazis would replaced by imperials, and instead of artifacts of ancient civilizations you're instead chasing sith or Jedi artifacts.

Indy didn’t see what happened in Raiders. I think he likely in his gut knew it was supernatural but since he didn’t directly see it, all he knows and can confirm is that the nazis who were looking at the ark all mysteriously disappeared.
As a lifelong fan of the saga (I've seen the first and third one at least 50 times each) this is the closest I've ever seen to an actual Indiana Jones game. I loved Emperer's Tomb but this looks perfect : the disguises, the look of the brawls, the use of environnement, the sounds, the voice acting...
I feel full 3rd person would have been stronger, Indy is all about the cinematic adventure, im not sure POV is indicative of that. Disguises especially, seem lost in 1st person
@@mikeglasswell-gameplay i think it was important for them for the player to feel like they are Indiana Jones so they went with first person, it's more immersive that way. I think also some of the tight spaced environments wouldn't translate well with a third person camera.

I'll never understand the decision to go first person. Every time the game cuts to third, it looks fantastic. The first person feels like a VR game. I have to assume it's to avoid Uncharted comparisons, but Uncharted is a great game. It showed that an Indiana Jones game could work. It's okay to be compared to something great.

I have a feeling that changing perspectives like that is a bit of a mistake. If there are sections where Indy has to swing across multiple platforms, it could get really disorienting. Especially if we have to worry about momentum. Although MachineGames seems to be making accommodations for it, adventure games like this don’t really work that well in first person. But if this game takes cues from Mirror’s Edge, it should be fine.
This should've has a primary 3rd person mode. First person should've been primarily used to examine items - artifacts, puzzle hints, maps, journals, etc.

Apparently it also looks really cool that they did everything like in 1940. Most game makers don't make quality games. It's more about the money. Hate how everytime you use the whip to swing or climb it switches to 3rd person. I think the whole game should’ve been 3rd person but if your going to do 1st, make the entire game 1st

I have a feeling that changing perspectives like that is a bit of a mistake. If there are sections where Indy has to swing across multiple platforms, it could get really disorienting. Especially if we have to worry about momentum.
Although MachineGames seems to be making accommodations for it, adventure games like this don’t really work that well in first person. But if this game takes cues from Mirror’s Edge, it should be fine.
Probably to make it easier for people that experience motion sickness.
This should've has a primary 3rd person mode. First person should've been primarily used to examine items - artifacts, puzzle hints, maps, journals, etc.

@@shredd5705 The way it switches perspective is most certainly not a reference to Uncharted or Tomb Raider but to the Chronicles of Riddick games which some of these developers worked on.
As a lifelong Indiana Jones fan, I'm loving this already. It may turn out to be the best 3D Indy game since "The Infernal Machine" released way back in 1999.
For a Bethesda game it looks amazing. Don't think we'd be requiring mods for this one.

Apparently it also looks really cool that they did everything like in 1940. Most game makers don't make quality games. It's more about the money. In the past on PlayStation 1 and 2 two, such games had done quite well before that time. The only thing I might see as an area for improvement is that you can also set up another Camera so it is also beautiful but is just personal
