A few inaccuracies here. The F-117s radar warning receiver is retracted into the aircraft during missions and is non operational as it couldn’t be made stealthy with the technology of the time. The pilots first warning was him spotting the missiles breaking through the clouds below
@@noblearmories1265 I can see that you are confused, so I will give you few details about what actually happened. For the first three days of the war most of the SAM units operated in radio silence, meaning they didn’t communicate often with the main command post, and they didn’t turn on their radars most of the time. As a matter of fact they have turned on their P-18 search radar for the first time since the beginning of the war approximately one hour before they have shoot down the F-117. So the notion that they had some “James Bond” type of intelligence from the mole inside the NATO headquarters, or that they knew the flying routes of the F-117 is just stupidity of the first class! You also can’t distinguish the radar tracks to be able to recognize the type of the aircraft in question, so based on that you can’t specifically make an ambush for the particular type of the plane (in this case F-117), even if you were able to make some patterns (which was not the case in reality). What is worse, the P-18 radar had some resolution problems and was unable to provide the data for distances that were less than 60 km. They had detected multiple targets at the distance between 70-80 km when they have turned the radar on, and one plane started to approach their position, but they had to turn the radar off in order to sort out the problem with the resolution. The second time they turned the radar on, that one target was at 23 km distance and entering WEZ. They have waited for target to get to 16 km from the launcher and then they turned the firing radar on. First two attempts to lock the target were unsuccessful because of the great angular velocity, and the fact that they have limited illumination time to just 8-10 seconds in order not to get hit by the HARM missile. They were able to lock the target from the third attempt at the distance of 11,9 km. Missile was launched and it hit the target that was flying away from the SAM site at the distance of 14 km and altitude of 8 km. The time it took the missile to hit the target was about 28 seconds, and the whole processes lasted around 84 seconds. The reason why I’m giving you the details about the time in seconds (that was needed for the downing of the F-117), is because of retarded claim that the main reason F-117 was shoot down was because of its weapon bays doors?! The position where the F-117 pilot dropped the bombs was around 40 km away from the place where it was shoot down! In reality F-117 takes less than 5 seconds to open the doors, drop the bomb and close the doors, so it is impossible for the SAM unit to use that short time window to shoot the plane down for two reasons. First reason is obviously not enough time for the whole sequence of detecting, tracking, launching the missile, and hitting the F-117, because if the doors were the main source of detection, after less than 5 seconds the radar would loose the lock, and the missiles would go stupid! And the second reason is the distance, because S-125 Neva doesn’t have the missiles with that kind of range (far less than 40 km), it is that simple!
Wooow Modern aircraft stories are so nice We want more like "Desert Storm", "Vietnam Air Wars", "October Air war 1973" & Ukraine air wars if possible like "The ghost of Kiev"
More like they got lucky, they happened to ping it at the exact second. You realize that there is a reason only 1 ever got shot down, ever, despite that they could "see" it
@@alexsawchuk5371Another one was hit and nearly crashed, the US confirmed it 2 decades later. The same missile battery claims it downed a B2, which crashed in a forest in Croatia and was fully salvaged by the US, but this was never confirmee.
This is overdramatised. The F-117 will not maneuver like that as it would give further radar reflections back to the targets, it also does not have the T/W to perform like what is shown. There was also not missile dodging scene with them chasing him. As far as the source from the pilot shows, he was not aware any radar was tracking him or firing at him (no wierd SAM warning) as the F-117 has no RWR. He only saw the missile exhaust trails at the last second, the first missile missed his cockpit and the shockwave coming off it's nose buffeted the cockpit, the second hit him.
Calm down brother... No one is being technical here, it's just an animation. If you want technical stuff then I guess this is not the right channel for you. :)

And was not used on the aircraft activated long before the time of this incident in service. As always you outdid yourself Yarnhub, well done. I find these military stories absolutely interesting. Zoltán Dani's achievement of shooting down an F-117 Nighthawk is not something that is to be scoffed at(granted at the time some would argue it was outdated or dumb luck but it was also a matter of patience also due to the opening of the bomb bay). Everything about this video: the voice acting, the action and most importantly the animation are stellar.
Also, hilariously, the Russians have ever since tried to sell the missile system as a magical anti-stealth weapon and brushed over the MASSIVE skill, balls, and luck that had to come together in one moment for Zoltan Dani to fire a successful shot.
It's a testament to the technology behind the F117, that it has flown over 2,000 sorties, mostly over areas with active enemy radar, and has only lost a single plane.

These spy comments makes me think Serbia had a better spy force than CIA or mossad. And that Zoltans battery was the only one that knew of this apperently, conveniently forgetting that there was a SAM circle around Belgrade and the f117 had to go thru 3 batteries before reaching Zoltans.
Not true and couldn't be possible. It was the third day of the campaing. Belgrade had a circled AA batteries overlaping on all sides, the third battery was relocated outside the ring as an ambush.

A few inaccuracies here.
The F-117s radar warning receiver is retracted into the aircraft during missions and is non operational as it couldn’t be made stealthy with the technology of the time. The pilots first warning was him spotting the missiles breaking through the clouds below
There are few inaccuracies besides the ones you have mentioned, and that is the fact that basically everything about this video is wrong 😉
@@Semendrija123???
Bro this is one of the SICKEST videos I have watched in so long! Thanks!

@@stormjet814 I just checked, supposedly if a conversation I have found is correct it does have 2 RWR or (Radar Location System panel antenni). And was not used on the aircraft activated long before the time of this incident in service. So though it may have had the ability initially, it would have voided stealth quite seriously if both were deployed and would not have been used in bombing runs where stealth was a key factor. And from the story of the pilot himself he had no idea he was being tracked though he knew they were there. He only new he was being shot at seconds before the first missile narrowly missed him.
