Sometimes getting to the bees in a structure takes longer than removing them, and in this video, that is just the case. I hope you enjoy the fun Charlie and I had. Thanks for watching. God's peace to all.

Famous last words! "Charlie, I really, really have confidence that it will be two hours..." Mr. Ed 🤣🤣🤣
Time to get Charlie some catfish and hushpuppies. 😂
Even though Charlie prefers fried chicken, he won't pass up catfish and hush puppies...but neither would I. Thanks for watching. God's peace Joey.
Mr. Ed
You can just feel the good vibes through the screen. Thank You Mr. Ed and Charlie!
Every bee wrangling adventure Charlie and I do is a fun one, and we love sharing the joy and the excitement of saving bees. Delighted to hear of your appreciation for our work. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Nick.
Mr. Ed
Those bees are so lucky to get wrangled by someone with so much respect. I'm glad the homeowner didn't call an exterminator. What a lovely hive.
I'm glad they called us as well, but rest assured, they wanted the bees relocated and not killed. Great bees, and I'm happy to have them up here now. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
Good morning busy bee wranglers!
Hey Robert, have a great day! God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
They seem so docile, there isnt even any smoke.
It is very rare for me to use smoke on bees during a removal. For the most part it is not necessary and it really does stress the bees when it is used. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
That queen if a laying fiend. Wow, no resources bare but lord knows soon they will be a monster hive
Yes! I couldn't believe how much brood came out. Of course that was good for Mr. Ed as he didn't get a honey shower like happens so often in overhead removals.
I love your shows! There are time traveling machines. I know it's true, just by watching your shows. I can be sent back to my adolescent time ( I'm 68yrs old now ) back to when Stupid was cool. Up until Dad got got his Belt out.!!!! Dad was great. Can't wait to Vermont via your shows 😂 Mr Ed and Good Time Charlie , Bless you all ❤
Thank you for your blessings, reminder of simpler days, I remember the belt as well, and for taking the time to watch the video, it is all greatly appreciated. Until the next one, God's peace Gibby.

What a deal......Thanks Jeff and Good Time Charley.....An i am NOT LATE this time.....God Bless Guy's.....

You got to watch early, hot dog! God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
I got to hang out with BEES today. It was a lot of fun, but I was very excited/anxious. They were very calm though - probably calmer than I was, and nobody was stung. They kind of just hovered around us like they were 'watching' us. The hum was a little bit eerie. My brain kept saying 'leave you will be attacked'. The queen has started laying (we only just started getting our blooms here), and I got to see very small and very large larvae and capped brood, some honey from winter stores and some nectar/sugar water. I cant wait to go back and see them for the harvest!
Keep on hanging out with the bees, pretty soon you will bee having your own. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff I dont think my landlords would appreciate bees, but I have been invited back for the honey harvest!
All praise to God. Beautiful queen
Always and forever! God's peace Rick.

What I love about the channel Jeff is, even though we've seen you do all these tasks many times over, each video is fresh, has something different and always entertains. So thank you brother for this. Plus, the final squirrels for the Stuntman made me roar!
I knew Pete would appreciate the squirrels and I just wanted him to know I was thinking of him. Thank you for your kind words and for all the time you spend following along with our bee wrangling adventures. Until the next one, God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
I love watching your videos. Always glad to see people acknowledge their Lord and Savior. God Bless.

Good Morning from Denton Texas and Brushpopper Bee wrangling .
Hey Robert! I was just asked to come speak at the Marshall, TX Bee club meeting on July 12. I know it's a bit of a drive for you, but maybe you could make it, it would be great to meet you. God's peace brother.

What a ghastly ending to that video !
I put it at the end as so many do not get that far, but for those that do, it may have been a bit dramatic. Thanks for watching. God's peace Kevin.

LUNCH. Good Time Charlie is ready for sure. Nice job guys!
Has anyone tried spraying Kilz or Bins primer over those old comb sites to stop them from attracting future hives? Just thinking those stain sealers would maybe trap the odor as well.
It may slow the return of a new swarm down, but nothing will remove the smell permanently. God's peace Mark.
Mr. Ed
Very nice colony of bee's! They didn't like the area near the facia for the hive they wanted. God Bless you both!!!!
They wanted me to work a lot harder to get them out of there, that's why the moved further back. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Phil.
Mr. Ed
ThNk you Jeff and Charlie ,keep making more.
Good morning Mr. Ed, have a blessed day Brother.
Thank you Brian, fly safe and bring me back some peanuts from the snack tray. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
That was a big queen. Firm but light-colored comb, do you think it was just a few months old? Younger than the squirrels, that's for sure.
Hard to say about the age, but guessing by the brood pattern, she was a last year queen. Poor squirrels.....not! God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
The beauty of wild and free honeybees! Not feral new evidence proves!!
To me, feral or wild, they both make honey and they certainly are amazing. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Richard.
Mr. Ed
I’m always amazed at the darndest places these gals find to establish a nerd hive. I know they send out scout bees, etc., nonetheless, the darndest places…attics, fascia/soffit, and who knows what all else. Good thing there are folks like you and your team to “rescue” them from houses and give them a new, perhaps even better, place to live.
Bees will find the weirdest places to occupy, and very often, like this one, they make my job harder. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Paul.
Mr. Ed
the bees sure work fast
tanks again
When there's a good nectar flow on and there are a lot of bees in the swarm, the bees can work wonders. Wait till you see next Friday's post and see what those bees did in just 8 weeks. Thanks for watching. God's peace Randy.
Mr. Ed
As always, another great removal to enjoy watching!
Another grdeat video, a great hive of bees with a good queen,God bless everyone. I see a few bees every day in the garden we have few if any flowers on the plants.
Awesome hive collection! I enjoy watching your videos, and I'm always amazed at how calm the bees stay! Great show guys!
Good job getting those elusive bees👍👏
Another great removal! I still have the first two removals of the season to do yet. Hard to get to them due to all this water that the lord keeps blessing us with.
Hope your in-laws are fairing well with all the weather. Downtown looks like a war zone after last nights storms. Even the glass in the buildings was shattered.
Since Mona is from Tombal, we have been keeping in touch with family and weather there, you guys are really taking a hit. I hope you are taking care of yourself and the recovery is going well. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff Lauren is from Tomball as well. The constant raining each week was one thing, them winds Thursday took it to a new level. I was told there is billions in damage there in Houston, here in Waller, just a lot of broken trees.
Mug up from the Lakes region of NH, where we have bears, and I'm on bear watch. Yogi came back a couple days ago and found a weakness in the forcefield. I'm on the coffee break time for the bear. 7-10am seems to be the time the bear come through. Let's see if I made any improvement in my electric fence and if it really matters to the bear. Now for the show!.... Well, no bear yet, but I got some windows cleaned. Watching you guys doing cutouts never gets old, thanks for sharing, peace, Brice

Mr Ed, that was a fine looking colony. I hope it does great for you. I can’t figure out if that Queen was “a good old big one” or “a big old good one”. lol. What do you think?
To me it makes no difference...as long as she is a layer. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
That was awesome thanks Jeff. Here where i am at the sweet clover is coming back. so i will have millions and millions of blooms on just it alone. and then there is the Choke Cherry blooms and oh wow all along my creek and trees like little bunches of grapes all white.. and then yet hahaha the Wild Plums Holy smokes wish you were....... so closer you don't have enough hives to handle what i have here, that is for sure. Mike Berry, the Dirt Rooster and JP with all their bees would still never handle everything i have.. but i pray one day you can come here on a blooming year and see for yourself.. it is amazing for sure.
Love to see it for myself as well, God's peace Gary.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff you to jeff may you always be in the lords hands.
UGH, squirrel carcasses - almost as bad as finding mummified dead mice! I'm surprised that the homeowner left that smelly mess and damage. At least when they repair, they can get that whole area cleaned out! That's a prolific hive, though not a lot of stores for the amount of brood in progress. And drones from a new hive? Isn't that a bit unusual? But they will be in good hands at the abbey.
It appears to be the pattern lately in removal, lots of brood and just a little honey, I think the bees know something we don't. For sure these drone came from this hive, and there were a lot of them. Thanks for watching. God's peace Karla.
Mr. Ed
Always a good videos, thanks for more videos.
She had an amazing laying pattern! So few gaps in some of those pieces! Thanks Jeff and Charlie! Another successful removal! Enjoy lunch!
You guys are amazing!👍🏻🐝
The first heat signature in the video is probably because heat is drawn off the cluster and out the entrance, warming the space on the way out. A good test would have been to feel that surface after you opened it. I have the same IR camera, and I'm still learning to interpret the images. Most of the time, it's a good indication of where the bees are, but since the laws of thermal conductivity are at play, we can get fooled. I still think about your video with bees around a through-the-wall air conditioner when the thermal image was a hot pipe.
I'm with Charlie all the way; one of the joys of life is lunchtime. When noon comes around, I eat.
Pete probably turned it off before you could show him the 2nd carcass! 😂😂😂
...or passed out. Thanks for watching. God's peace Jason.
Mr. Ed
Jeff and Charlie work so well together. Love to watch them work on these cut outs. Would like to see you setting these up when you get back to the Abby sometimes.

Question: Do you use or have you used rubber/nitrile gloves instead of the leather ones..if so how many mils should it be to prevent stings getting through..thanks
I wear two different types of gloves when working bees. Leather ones when working hives in our yard, and PVC coated rubber ones when doing removals, with nitrile gloves underneath. From what I understand, even a 9 or 10 mill glove will still allow a stinger to penetrate, but not as easy as a 2 or 4. I know with all certainty, the rubber gloves I wear on my videos will never allow a stinger through, but leather ones do. Thanks for watching. God's peace John.
Mr. Ed
Great video as always. Technical question for you….. When you look at a hive do you guesstimate it’s size compared to say a deep box to decide if you just collect into one vacuum bucket vs 2 or is it more temperature dependent? I’ve had a couple of removals when there’s been too many honey covered dead bees in the bucket & I’m wondering if it’s overheating ~ hot day or too many in bucket => getting too hot??? 🧐
Over heating of the bees is the biggest factor to consider when vacuuming bees. For me, what determines whether I use 1 or 2 buckets is the outside temp AND the number of bees in the hive. Since it's always better to error on the side of keeping the bees alive, when in doubt, use 2 buckets. Thanks for watching. God's peace Rachael.

I have a cousin in Slidell!
Why no smoke? Smoked bee's load up with honey and are amiable and less aggressive as long as you don't squash any! surprised that your wrists and lower forearms are not protected! I've only collected one wild hive many years ago so haven't got the experience you guys have so my comment isn't meant as criticism, just trying to learn👍👍👍👍
It is rare for me to use smoke on a removal as smoke stresses bee very bad, and since the removal is already stressful for them, the less stress I give them quickens the recovery time from the removal. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Justin.
Mr. Ed
curious why you frame up drone comb/brood?
Normally I would not. However, because there was so much nectar in the comb, along with the drone brood, I put it in a frame. Thanks for watching. God's peace Howard.
Mr. Ed
Does a queen ever reuse a cell that has produced offspring?
Yes, over and over again. A good queen can lay up to 2,000 eggs a day and with that many eggs being laid, cells are reused all the time. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Susan.
Mr. Ed
why aren't you vacuuming comb?
I want to keep the bees on the comb to allow them to continue tending the brood. I have been doing that recently and it seems to help get the hive up and running after the removal. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Ray.

Mr. Ed
I am sure you answered this before, but I missed it. What is the mortality rate of the bees when you use the bee vac?
Extremely low due to the design of the bee vac and it's variable suction ability. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Michael.
Mr. Ed
Why don't you want the drone brood?
They use hive resources and during the recovery for the removal, their presence would be a drain on the limited resources that are present in the hive. What type of vacuum do you use? Is it especially made for bees? It seems like the small attachment would be really hard on them.
The vacuum I use is called the "Everything Bee Vac," and I use it exclusively to remove bees as it is such a great tool and does such a great job. You can find out all about it by going to:
