Amazing how that column came apart in sections and the bee's took advantage of the space they had. Great hive and comb but the bee's will let you know they are not happy. Nice seeing Ralph again doing a nice job as usual. Great video Mr Ed!! God Bless you both!!!
Wish I could post pics LOL I did one the other day at a church. The bees were inside the wall at the highest point they could be! About 30 feet up. But we got them ! Also ended up with a couple gallons of some of the thickest honey I have ever seen!
Thirty feet up is way to high for me. I hope you had scaffolding or a lift. Happy to hear it went well for you. Thanks for watching. God's peace Gary. Mr. Ed
It really was like a hollow tree other than it split with no effort. The Three Amigos will be riding together very soon, stay tuned. Thanks for watching. God's peace David. Mr. Ed

This year has been a very unusual year, it seem so many of the queens and her workers are producing better than ever. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I'm late to the wrangling party as just able to catch up. Nice of Ralph to step in and help whilst Charlie got to take a break fishing. I hope the fish were biting well for him.
Charlie always catches fish which is great because he loves sharing the wealth. And yes, what a blessing to have Ralph being there to help me on this one. Thanks for watching. God's peace Suzanna. Mr. Ed
I've done that before as well, but since I knew she was in there and I was not coming back to release her if I had caged her, I just let it ride. Thanks for watching. God's peace Rodney. Mr. Ed

Because I knew the bees would not be in the vac for long I used only one vac. Had I had to transport the bees back to the abbey I would have used 2 for sure. Thanks for watching. God's peace Suzanna. Mr. Ed
They did get me pretty good when we first began, but as you saw, they calmed down in the end. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Phillip. Mr. Ed
There was not a thing to worry about when we moved the column except the very good possibility the bees would not appreciate it at all....and they did not. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one. God's peace Gilly. Mr. Ed

Even though there were not swarm cells formed already, there were several cups built up ready to become cells. Thanks for watching. God's peace Andrew. Mr. Ed
So good to see you and Ralph wrangle those bees and re-hive them for the homeowner. I hope Charlie had a great day of fishing! Fun video! Cheers! - Jeff
I have to say this, Charlie does love wrangling bees, but given the choice, he'd rather go fishing....especially when the big trout are running. What a great time it was working with Ralph again. God's peace Jeff. Mr. Ed
The bees on that lid look like the swarm that was 75' up an oak tree at my house yesterday. They left their bivouac yesterday afternoon and flew off across the swamp. Lots of big trees around here and hopefully that swarm found a nice cavity. Black Locust and white clover in bloom, so it's a good time for them to build a new home. Good to see Ralph. Hope Charlie brings home the fish. Always a pleasure, peace brother.
And I vacuumed the bees from it 3 or 4 times, lots and lots of bees in this colony. Now you understand why I needed another box. I did find a few cups being built so these girls were thinking about swarming. Hope your flow is a great one, God's peace Brice. Mr. Ed
How many stings you take Jeff? Never seen you walk away before they must have been a sweet on you instead of Ralph for some reason 😂.Glad everything went good and always keeping it positive !Thanks always.
Even when Charlie does not catch fish, and that is rare, he has a great day, he just loves getting on the water. This was a nice removal except you had so many bees and didnt find the queen but it seems she was in the bee vac. It was great to see Wreck It Ralph but I missed seeing Good Time Charlie, however Id have gone fishing too, lol. I hope he caught a lot!❤🐟🐟🐟
A big one for sure Terry, and after the bees calmed down, it all went very well. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

Bees are so clever and amazing. You and wreck it Ralph did a fantastic job wrangling those bees. I love your channel and I find bees so interesting. Great job, God bless you.
Like you, I find bees amazing. For such a small insect, their importance to our very survival is so important. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Janet. Mr. Ed
Nice of you to give Good Time Charlie a break so he could go fishing. Great to see Wreck It Ralph on camera again! That always amazes me when the robber bees show up and the hive bees, like you said, have GPS to where the entrance is/ was. Mr. Ed, as someone who drove a firetruck for 20 years, that park job had me cringing - you'd never see the Rooster park so close lol
Nice removal Jeff ! Did a big hollow fallen limb last year similarly we sliced it open and saved the colony . That’s really an enjoyable type removal! Charlie catch any fish ? Hope your Tallow flow was overflowing !
I've done a bunch of tree removals and they are very interesting to do, but I assure you, there is a lot less work when you are only dealing with a wooden column that is falling apart. Our tallow and privet were outstanding, best in 10 years. Thanks for watching. God's peace Edward. Mr. Ed
MY HERO RALPH! and you too, Jeff! Still getting them by the ton or yard. Glad you had Ralph to shotgun. Barehanded as usual. Sir. Charles missed out again. Yall have a Jesus weekend and God Bless Yall!
Thanks Mr Ed and Ralph for a very interesting, educational video again. Those girls looked very angry. Well done for keeping your cool all that time. Keep on making the videos, I'll keep on watching. Bruce in Saddleworth, South Australia.
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch the video Bruce. I really think it's so cool that so many from Australia follow along with my bee wrangling adventures, thank you very much for being one of them. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
That's really amazing to see bee's in a column, like a hollow log, they were a bit grumpy, but I'm sure will love there new home & bee happy 🐝🐝🐝 Love ur work blessings ❤
It was exactly like bees in a trunk of a tree except that it was so much easier to get to the bees in the column. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Karen. Mr. Ed
And it's always a pleasure for me to hear when viewers enjoy watching what I post. Know for certain, I love sharing my bee wrangling experiences and I'm grateful to all who watch. Thanks for watching, and until the next one, next Friday, God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Great way to do a cutout no ladder work and no getting up and down 400 times . Wish I could put all my cutouts on saw horses. LOL Nice bunch of bees, congrats.
He was and still is, the big trout are still running by the train tressells and Charlie is chasing them. Thanks for watching. God's peace William. Mr. Ed

Mr. Ed, this has been another very enjoyable video in your stories of a bee wrangler in action! Not sure how you are able to be so successful, but your Good Time Charlie-less series continues in grand style. Here the ease with which the column opened to present you with a good population of bees sure seemed to make for an easier removal. I wonder though, just what kind of a honey glazed fish dinner Good Time Charlie will serve up on his return? Could there be the start of a new series: "Mr. Ed Dines With Good Time Charlie?" As long as you keep making videos, I am sure to keep watching! -Bob...
HELLO MR. ED, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW THAT IF THERE IS ANYONE IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAS JOINT ISSUES ARTRITIS, OR OTHER PAIN WITH BENDING AREAS. I SAW A SPECIAL SHOWING BEES BEING PLACED IN THAT SITE AND ALLOWED TO STING THEM. MANY PEOPLE STATED THAT IT WAS LIKE A MIRACLE FOR THEM. THE PAIN WENT AWAY AND THE SWELLING WENT COMPLETELY AWAY. PLEASE TRY IT OUT ON WILLING PEOPLE TO SEE IF THEIR LIFE OF TROUBLE CAN TURN AROUND TO A LIFE OF FREEDOM OF PAIN. I ENJOY YOUR SHOW, IM A CHRISTIAN ALSO, SO NICE TO SEE A FELLOW BELIEVER BEING PROUD OF HIS RELIGOUS CONVICTION.
I am very familiar with this type of treatment and I know of at least 3 people who are presently using it with very good results. Thank you for you support of my beliefs and for taking the time to watch the video. Also, I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Michelle. Mr. Ed
Whenever possible, I do not use smoke as it stresses the bees a lot, and the removal itself is so stressful already, I hate adding more stress. Thanks for watching. God's peace Karin. Mr. Ed
You are very welcome, and thank you for taking the time to watch the video. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 14 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace William. Mr. Ed
I love and appreciate you for what you do and the energy and the vitality and the exuberance you bring to the entire process. Also, esp for the detailed & personal reply to each query. Pray, God will continue to give you strength and health to make a difference, 1 person at a time ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🖖🖖🖖 What's your charge for removing the bees from the post?
Generally no, the bees do that all on their own, but sometimes I will go in there and do it for them. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Gary. Mr. Ed
Jeff, pray tell where do you get those king size rubber bands to hold the comb at a diagonal? We use the elastic bands women do to wrap around a pony tail hair do. They are just right to go left and right, but obviously slower than your method. Also, when you put on an inner cover or lid, DO NOT just slap it on the box. Instead put it on at an angle so the corner of it sticks over the side of the box a couple or three inches. Then slide it in place. Which gives the bees a chance to get out of the way rather than just crushing 'them. Other than that, I enjoyed your video. James Rish, Florida beekeeper
I use a 7 X 1/8 inch rubber band I buy from Amazon. The cris crossing of the bands is very fast, easy, and effective. To date it is the best way I have used to secure the comb to the frame. Thanks for the tip on the lid and for watching. Also, I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace James. Mr. Ed
All the columns on the porch are being replaced by square ones. You can see them located at the end of the porch in the video. Thanks for watching. God's peace Larry. Mr. Ed
Always love watching your videos, I am actually local and was wondering if the Abbey you work at sells its honey. Would love some good quality local honey for our homemade breads.
We do sell the honey that our bees produce right here at the abbey's Gift Shop, and that is the only place that it is sold. If you are interested in getting some, let me know before hand and I'll even throw in a tour of our honey operation. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed
I'll be going to my first cutout next week. I looked at a new townhouse development where bees have found homes in either the eves or a decorative arch. The builder was once a beekeeper and is going to borescope the entrance to determine where we have to go in. I'll be working off of a GLG lift, and plan to vac the bees and cutout the comb to put into a cooler. When I frame up the.comb what size rubber bands do I need to use?
Good luck on the removal, I hope it turns out well for you and the bees. The rubber bands I use are 7 X 1/8 inches that I buy them from Amazon. They come in a box of 200 and I usually buy 4 boxes at a time as I go through so many of them. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Fred. Mr. Ed
They were initially, in fact I took several stings, but soon afterwards they calmed down as was evident by the fact that we took off our suits. Thanks for watching. God's peace Joanna. Mr. Ed

No doubt people have asked you this question before, but here goes: how do you close up areas where bees like to make hives so they go somewhere better?! Is there a spray to deter them that doesn't kill but just makes it so they stay away?
It may be quite the challenge to seal an area that bees are using as an entrance because unless you seal the entire area around the entrance, bee can find another way in. For that reason, it is very difficult to do on older houses as there are so many cracks and opening due to the age of the house. No, there is no spray or covering that will mask the smell forever. The first person who come up with one will be a millionaire. Thanks for watching. God's peace Ruth. Mr. Ed

Thanks so much for taking the time to watch the video Bruce. I really think it's so cool that so many from Australia follow along with my bee wrangling adventures, thank you very much for being one of them. God's peace brother.

Great video and that comb fit perfectly in the frames. It was great to see Wreck’in Ralf. God bless Brother.

Always a pleasure thanks for the video and your hard work.
You guys work so well together it’s a pleasure to see. Thanks for sharing it with us even without your expert cinematographer.
Great way to do a cutout no ladder work and no getting up and down 400 times . Wish I could put all my cutouts on saw horses. LOL Nice bunch of bees, congrats.
I hate working off the ladder, it really is dangerous. We did catch a break with this one and I was grateful for that fact. God's peace Dennis.
Mr. Ed
Massive amount of bees, that was amazing 👏 🙌
Great to see you Wreck-It Ralph vacuuming bees and assisting. Is Good Time Charlie out catching speckled trout on Lake pontchartrain?
He was and still is, the big trout are still running by the train tressells and Charlie is chasing them. Thanks for watching. God's peace William.

It's not a just a state, it's a state of mind. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
-Bob...
He's making a trout almandine, honey glazed in honor of missing this adventure. Thanks for watching. God's peace Bob.

@@JeffHorchoff My goodness Mr Ed! Being a bee keeper sure has some mighty fine and tasty rewards!

Wow what a hive
That was a different removal,
Every once in a while I get a really interesting one, and what made it more interesting is Ralph was there helping. God's peace Larry.
Mr. Ed
That was a huge colony. Probably why they got so mad…they had enough to spare 😂😂
Even though they were a bit angry initially, they calmed down. There certainly were plenty to spare. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
You were so gentle with the bees. You didn't use any smoke??
Whenever possible, I do not use smoke as it stresses the bees a lot, and the removal itself is so stressful already, I hate adding more stress. Thanks for watching. God's peace Karin.
Mr. Ed
Beeutiful!!!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 It's all the buzzzzzzzzzzzz😎
Some of those bees weren’t camera shy, they crawled all over the lens 🤣
For whatever reason, bees will fly right into the camera. I think it has something to do with sound frequencies. God's peace.

Thanks Jeff for sharing this amazing process and your efforts to save the bees
What do you charge for this removal
You are very welcome, and thank you for taking the time to watch the video. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 14 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. I hope you will check out more of my over 600 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. I love and appreciate you for what you do and the energy and the vitality and the exuberance you bring to the entire process. Also, esp for the detailed & personal reply to each query. Pray, God will continue to give you strength and health to make a difference, 1 person at a time ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🖖🖖🖖
What's your charge for removing the bees from the post?
Do you eventually remove the rubber bands? Man you have the greatest smile! Thanks for another great video
Generally no, the bees do that all on their own, but sometimes I will go in there and do it for them. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. God's peace Gary.
Mr. Ed
Love your videos.
Thank you, and I will keep on making them for you and everyone else to watch. Until the next one, God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Jeff, pray tell where do you get those king size rubber bands to hold the comb at a diagonal? We use the elastic bands women do to wrap around a pony tail hair do.
They are just right to go left and right, but obviously slower than your method. Also,
when you put on an inner cover or lid, DO NOT just slap it on the box. Instead put it on
at an angle so the corner of it sticks over the side of the box a couple or three inches. Then
slide it in place.

Wow spectacular!!
love ya wreck it Ralph xoxoxo
Who is going to fix the column and put it back in position?
All the columns on the porch are being replaced by square ones. You can see them located at the end of the porch in the video. Thanks for watching. God's peace Larry.

Not hardly, more like 7 including travel. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.
