So easy to just pull the grill out from the front without even opening the hood. Took literally five minutes to replace my grills and no damage whatsoever
Did you use trim panel removal tools? What method did you use?
@@rairadrai I just got a firm grip with my hands and pulled straight out. No problem, no broken tabs
Did the same thing. Hold on the inside with both hands and pull hard. The grille comes right out without any damage. No tools needed.

Thanks for the video. But after attempting this myself, I can safely say that loosening the front bumper and reaching in from the top is unnecessary, takes longer and is harder to do. Even if you attempt this method, when it comes to removing the bottom clips, you still can't reach in to push the tabs, so pulling and brute force was required anyway. By far the simpler method is to use a plastic pry tool. Slip it in-between the bumper and grill and pry the grill off, one clip at a time. As long as you are gentle, the clips just pop out without breaking. The most useful thing to know is where the clips are so you know where to put the pry tool. The bumper and gill are all plastic so there is enough flex in the materials for this pry method to work.
Great way to change the grilles according to your instructions! It doesn't take long and beats just pulling on your grilles especially if your vehicle is 10 years old. Things break easily as some vehicles age. Good job!
Funny, it took me about 30 seconds to install both of them without any of that.....
A warning to everyone! The bottom clip is almost impossible to unclip with the bumper still on. You'll have to snap the bottom middle one to get these out.
Tried this, there's no way to reach the grills from the inside once you remove those screws.. not sure what year this BMW is but my 2016 F 10 550 is not the same.
@anonymous devil dog - this is 2015 and it's same as 2016. Since u have a v8 ,u might need to unscrew the covers for dual intake and then get to outside cover and top of bumper.

@camden Friedman - properly do from the top buy removing those plastic housing, or you can remove entire bumper( little over kill)
Can you just pull them out by a lil force without taking off the screws ?
@justificable - I am sure you can but depending on how well they are situated, you might rip out the holes for screws. Bc u do have to push tans down and than just push from inside or pull from outside.

Lol u don’t need to do all this extra shit. Just pull the grills out and snap the new ones in simple as that. Literally takes like 3 minutes
Are you referring to the method of pulling out by force to break the tabs? I did that on my E60 because it was older.
@@rairadrai ive done it over 5 times never had a problem. Just don't yank them out use steady force till they pop out
