That’s awesome I’m In the middle of a project now I’ve got a 87 foxbody that was 2.3 that I’m swapping a 5.0 in. I should’ve bought the gt fox but I’m working with what I have. Long story short it’s at a stand still and the whole car is getting redone. Big props to the turbo system, especially piecing it together. It takes a lot more than people think, boost control, injectors, maybe a stand-alone ECU and a oil system that has to be made from scratch if u don’t have to the money for a on3 turbo kit or a cx racing turbo kit. I love getting tips from builders like yourself vs the forums because you’ve done it and it works regardless of problems

I've got an 03 mustang with built trans and bottom end since I'm looking to daily drive it. ~550whp is what I'm aiming for, a nice round number to behave on the street, and Cobras have gone 100k miles with those numbers. Of course it can always be turned up if I need to put somebody in their place really quick ;)

Hey, I think you installed the rear lowering springs upside down. I did the same thing when I was lowering my Mustang and had to switch it. The tightly coiled side should be on top.
@@nicorickey4300 yeah it was totaled. I do a bit of a run down on the damage in my 'How to turbo your car' video. I had to get the front subframe straightened out and a new rad support welded in.

People need to give the 3v’s more respect man. So many people think they’re terrible mustangs because they aren’t as fast as the coyote stock. But the 3v motor itself is a great platform and can obviously handle some boost with stock internals and make good power. They’re great entry level muscle cars and you can get them for super cheap these days and have 300hp stock and a great platform to build from.
@@matthewpate154 oh no it's fine, sitting in my garage. By doing the new setup I could get rid of two of the low hanging pipes that came with the turbo kit. I explain it in the video where I build that front exit exhaust.
I have to admit..though my criticism isn’t requested, I hate seeing a turbo kit installed using those restrictive stock exhaust manifolds. I think that’s the first mod on anything. Whether it’s long tubes or turbo headers, manifolds are a travishamockery. I did appreciate your ability to fabricate and definitely enjoyed the video.

Did you add any forged internals? My main hangup in adding a forced induction system to my Bullitt is that the internals are only rated so high. I'm not trying to throw a rod through the block. Did your connecting rods/piston heads hold up to the boost?
The average car utuber will need two 10 minute or more( for that extra add revenue) videos to even buy a turbo. Great project and a blast to watch

I'm on all stock internals and still doing fine. For 3Vs if you stay around 450whp/450wtq the stock internals should be safe.
