Im gonna have to try this out. My gbc ips screen doesnt have the flickering issues, but it will shut off randomly and my red led light flickering.. fresh batteries wont flicker but half way dead, it starts to flicker
Sounds like the same issue I had here. Cleaning the switch should fix it nicely. Make sure the board is also insulated with kapton tape, anywhere it could short out as well.
@KeiRetroGaming yessir, I just cleaned it, (not this way, but a different way from a different video) and it worked out. Light is solid now. I did the quick clean, but thanks to this video, it helped me solve the flicker like in this video! Happy camper now!
Another thing you can do is just use a hot plate and remove the whole switch. It's much easier and takes only a few seconds. It will save alot of headaches.
Loved this! Great Video Mr.Kei!
Thanks!
Watching all of that gunk come off was very satisfying 😂
I had a lot of fun cleaning it up! I love restoring devices.
Dam that was dirty, I’m surprised the issues were not worse than what was showing.
Was that worse than what you typically see?

@@KeiRetroGaming thank you sir!
Remember everyone! Use high percentage rubbing alcohol on electronics. 95 to 99%. Great video!
I found 99.9% on Amazon!

Interesting! I don't have a hot plate but that sounds much easier.
