Yeah, but they didn’t say his name. So if you don’t know, it’s just a nickname. The fact that it says “Kelsier” in the text is significant when it comes to cross series spoilers. I always tell people to read in publication order, with the exception of Elantris which I put betweeen hero of ages and warbreaker, just because it’s a weaker book, so I think it helps to trust Brandon before going into it.
They use the term Lord of Scars and Hoid talks about how he's punched Thaidakar before, true, but if a reader hasn't read Secret History yet, then it's not much of a reveal. I think it's definitely a big clue for Thaidakar's true identity, but still leaves some intrigue.
@@ExploringTheCosmere but we do see him in the prologue as wel, and lost metal pretty much confirms it’s him. I also think that people should read era 2 before they read secret history. The reveal that Kelsie’s is alive isn’t as tantalizing when reading secret history

I have a friend who is reading through the Cosmere for the first time following this reading order. I'm doing a full Cosmere re-read following along with him. Wow, that’s awesome. You got sponsored if you were sponsored in previous video I am very tone deaf to them, but congratulations and that’s amazing.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Here is another take on the Ishar thing: What if Ishar is not helping the other heralds but actually the cause of the madness? What if he has been playing his own game all along? Ishar is like a wild card but I've felt suspicious of him for a while now. His madness might be an act to lure Dalinar in a trap. I'm thinking Ishar might have been behind the Recreance and even the Hierocracy. Him experimenting with bringing Spren into the Physical Realm and his Control over Connection set him up for the perfect Villain. This would also explain the "Contest in the West"': Kaladin / Seth vs Ishar
This was more than I expected to get on Cultivation and it explained A Lot without explaining very much🤣. And this lovely Todium... teah, bring back Rayse, I don't think he was so bad anymore. Cultivation...I do not think she ganna make it and if she does, 100% back half villain.
I think the secret about thaidakars identity was going to become common knowledge eventually. The impact of BoMs reveal will never be the same. I feel like it's too much of an ask to read 7 Mistborn books before wind and truth, unless you're very invested in 'the order'
There was so much foreshadowing in interlude 2. 'A god divided' who's main adversary is Dalinar, 'A man united'. I look forward to these two interacting, especially since Taravangian knows Dalinar and likely respects him more than nearly anyone on Roshar. We can also cross off 'gavinor as Odiums champion' from the list of theories, as this interlude fulfills the epigraph that gave rise to it. Cultivation warning of breaking oaths, is a call back to Honors demise, and a foreshadow to Odiums splintering. And did anyone get the vibe from Cultivation that Todium was doing just as she expected him to? It was the calm 'oh no... don't do it... whatever shall we do...' kind of attitude. She may take the trophy from Kelsier for plans within plans.
@@Axel-tk3tk very possible, but there are so many possibilities for that. Kaladin we know is now third in line for Urithiru if he accepts Dalinar's offer, and he could easily be considered broken from the standpoint of the spiritual realm. Szeth, Shallan, Todoum, Tanavast, Any of the Heralds (perhaps gigachad Taln?) We have 400,000 more words of plot to see before anything is made clear 😆
I’ve found that people seem to pass over that bit about “you killed your father” I’m beginning to believe that Rayce is Cultivation’s Father. They are both described as having that dark brown skin. Beyond that, Odium seems to have a hatred of Tanavast that only someone deeply connected to can have. In this case, Father in Law to Son in Law I think
I think that's possible. At least I could see part of the Fandom rooting for him, and part of the Fandom thinking he's terrible. I think that would be a pretty cool way to end arc 1 of Stormlight.
Sorry, but Kelsier beeing alive got spoiled in Rhythm of War already. Kalak names him in the end. He talks about "the lord of scars". I guess every person who read mistborn got that
@@MareKholin personally I think 90% of Day 1 was trash writing and so awkward and weird. Not a fan of Syl/Kaladin romance. And it seems like Shallan is still battling her inner demons. Like I’m sorry but 5 books straight of this for both her and Kaladin. It’s not fantasy or enjoyable to me at least. The only good chapters were the ones with Shallan exploring her powers and the last Kaladin chapter with Szeth before he truly departs
As a Mormon, can I just say that if you want the LDS answer to “why do bad things happen to good people,” read interlude 2. Brando incorporates and presents it perfectly.
Still hate Todium and wish the community would have settled on something else. Regarding the divided one, there could be different ways to divide up passions. I think it would be important to figure out if the passion is only negative i.e. Odium or if it’s more than just negative emotions. If it’s just negative emotions, it could be divided into Suffering and Hatred. If it’s passions more generally understood, it could be positive and negative emotions.

this chapters was insane good, i'm sorry shanlan but in your plot iam on the side of the ghostbloods

He might be causing more madness by Bonding their madness to one of the Unmade?

You say Todium is reminding you of Thanos. As a fellow Mormon with Brandon Sanderson, I’m seeing the Satan of Mormon theology.
Btw you had a minor typo in your sponsor segment (sponsered instead of sponsored).
Great vid as ever!
Thanks for pointing that out!
Could Todium end up being a hero? Will we want him to win by the end of this book?

Finally the writing is good - these were two great interludes. I can only pray the rest of the book maintains this quality
I am pretty sure it was an intentional decision on the writing
